2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Societally speaking, would much rather have someone hitting on someone else's girlfriend than things that if they had gotten a little more out of hand could have resulted in deaths in some of those other episodes. -
I think it will be Hobie. I hope I am right.

Now a days isn't relevant even. Matt Greene's issue was probably bigger than this, and he was captain. You had Matt Frattin with issues. Remember Drake Caggiula almost dying from too much consumption, same with Kristo when he nearly froze? I even remember in the day Virg Foss making light of Tony Hrkac being suspended speculating that he took the Zamboni down University Avenue. To this day, I still have no idea what Hrkac did. -
Do grow up HoopsFan03!

Western has a few more as well, including Drazner, Kramer, Rowe and Constantini, and let's not forget, while not a portal player, they made room for Alex Bump.
-
The portal is a tool everyone is using. You just need to use it judiciously. I don't think anyone wishes we didn't get Pohlkamp last year. Would rather go that route than bring in a guy who isn't quite ready, and then gets ripped mercilessly when he can't produce, and is a defensive liability.

2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

Yes, they haven't been good at home this year, but they haven't been great in the past and went on a run. The rest of the teams we are playing at home aren't Western and Denver, but yes, the way things have been going it is improbable, but not impossible. -

Which would equate to winning all 6 at home with CC, Duluth, and Omaha, and splitting at Western and Denver. Not out of the question, but we've seen how they have huge lapses within games, so not having any lapses at home against those teams seems improbable. -
CC has been held to 1 or 2 goals in regulation 17 times, and St. Cloud 14 times. I would say neither are ripping it up.
-
Will be interesting if they get back at Arizona State next week for getting swept earlier this year.
-
Split against a team that swept us last year just isn’t good enough. Need to be making a push for home ice and stepping forward.
-
Let’s hope he is subhuman next week.
-
I see Bemidji has only won 2 games since they basically swept us. You absolutely can’t let a team like Bemidji tank your pairwise like that. With Berry’s commitment to playing them every year and losing to them, he is keeping their program above water, now do the same for ours.
-
That was the Perron goal, but I was glad Schmaltz did that.
-
We need teams like Wisconsin to keep winning in the Big Ten and crack the top 16 with a losing record. Maybe there are teams in Hockey East that could do the same.
-
You couldn’t ask for a better turning point in the game than to make him pay for his actions. That is exactly what officials need to do to minimize embellishment in the game. Kudos to them for making that call against the home team.
-
Would be nice if St. Cloud has a resurgence the rest of the regular season, starting against Western Michigan.
-
You can’t take McDonald’s penalty, but at least the James penalty was in the course of the action.
-
What bothers me is Berry doesn’t seem to be able to motivate the team at key times. The fact that you have the same postgame interview all the time with no improvement in those areas suggest this lack of motivation and/or accountability. That is the job of the coach, to motivate and hold accountable. Not seeing it.
-
Remember, it wasn’t until Berry took a lot of heat that he finally benched Rhett Gardner. That said, if he were to bench Jamernik it should have been after the Arizona State game. Jamernik at least brings it most games. Why McLaughlin keeps getting trotted out there is baffling. I trust Mac Swanson more in that situation than McLaughlin. I don’t know if it is the team taking on the coaches personality or what, but the team has no killer instinct. Of course it wouldn’t be nice to pile on, because goodness knows a two goal lead is golden for Berry’s teams.
-
The fact that the team is so excited after giving it away is an indictment on where the program is. I remember after they gave away a third period lead to Arizona State and won in overtime one of the players said it was nice they could do that for our fans. So to give up leads and then pull out a few points against an upstart program is what we are happy with. My how the mighty have fallen!
-
Bad turnovers, bad penalties, poor player personnel. When these become standard, coaches have a huge part to play on that. When you can predict that ahead of time, Berry needs to be held accountable.
-
Who is comfortable with a 2 goal lead going into the third? St. Cloud hasn’t put up many shots, but we know how that changes when UND starts to want to play lockdown, instead of just playing. Yes, don’t take unwarranted risk, but keep skating and forechecking.

How can Parrish play college hockey and not know that?
