If UND struggles this year and doesn’t even make the tournament, there needs to be serious discussion if the program/programs are going in the right direction. At that point both of the above names should warrant serious consideration. Hopefully the programs move forward and have a good year, but if not we can’t just continue stuck in the mud spinning our wheels when there are talented people out there who are moving other programs forward.

Probably should have been because of how violent he was tossed, but in the same token was the discrepancy of strength allowing him to be tossed so easily an issue as well. If he can be tossed like a rag doll like that in the process of tackling, is that a bigger symptom. I agree the Bison player added more to that tackle than needed which should have probably drawn a flag. Just by the looks of it, that would normally be a penalty.

Wow, when laid out like that, it really puts it into perspective how truly bad they have been on the road.
-
Lip service seems to be working for him, at least in the eyes of the people that are making the decisions.

I guess I would hesitate to use high ceiling with someone that has been in your program quite a while. Would be nice to have someone with a high ceiling that starts to attain it early in his career and can be a 3 year starter.

2024-25 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

So apparently he see's weaknesses in his players better than Carle. Yes, it sucks that they had a poor performance, but let's face it, Berry will be judged where Carle has thrived, in the postseason. How many times has Denver laid eggs early in the season, even against us, but in the end it isn't remembered much because they have reached the ultimate goal quite a bit recently. Plenty of room to build from here. -
I’m guessing the possibility of Major Junior players being eligible make decisions about early recruitment that much more difficult. We’ve see the hit and miss on young players by most teams, so now the pool becomes that much larger from which to choose.
-
I see we are in the overreaction mode. Then we beat a good team and it’s we are going to hang #9.
-
Let’s not forget Boston University got beat 8-2 in exhibition to start last season.
-
They are waiting for Jackson Blake to take over!
-
I was surprised too. They said they thought other leagues would follow suit when they first created that rule, and when they didn’t they wanted to be consistent with the other leagues, moreso the NHL I imagine.
-
I think with the rule change of the center getting kicked out of the circle again, I like that we have a lot of wingers that can and have taken faceoffs.

Bubba looking to make it look closer, for a moral victory.
-
So why play him at all then. That is my point. Why wait until we are way behind the eight ball and then play him extensively and get him hurt again. He is either good to go, or he isn’t.
-
Because he was tweaked by an NDSU player. At least Bubba isn’t playing him when the game is over, although he sure didn’t play him when we could have got out of the blocks faster.
-
Like I said, Bubba was a ND kid that couldn’t make it, so he is going to give his ND boy all the time. It’s one thing to never win on the road in big games it is another to not even be competitive.
-
Still Romfo. Typical Bubba.
-
So, are we the ones up by 21? How do you play 10 yards off a wide receiver. Would rather have a coach that wants to be aggressive on defense.
-
How do you not see that, when that is what gave him the edge?
-
Maybe Romfo only performs in playoff games in the FargoDome.
-
We can only hope that after this game, this reflects last season, and the teams go the opposite way the rest of the season.
-
Where is Siouxweet. It appears the Bison are not as terrible as he would have you believe. They are still, bigger, stronger and more fundamentally sound than UND.
-
We won last year by jumping on them early with a kickoff return. Can’t afford to let them get up 14 early, which is why if you are going to consistently put Ziebarth out later, why not have him out there to not fall behind early, especially when he was a big reason you won last year.
-
So can we ever make a progression and win a big game on the road. The program is going nowhere if all they can do is win at home. Make the next step!

Had a good grip on the jersey.
