  1. Like I say, I would like to know what most coaches would do. All I know is how many of our fans would be all over Brad Berry if he pulled the goalie with 4 plus minutes left and the other team intercepts a pass and puts it into the empty net without even an opportunity on a 5 on 3?
  2. It would be interesting to know Brad Berry's philosophy on this. Personally, I think you are going to get just as many great chances with 5 guys, as you would with 6 since you practice that scenario. The 3 guys usually don't stray too much from their triangle. I guess for puck retrieval it would help, but the defense aren't likely to get locked up in the corner anyway, as they are usually quite passive in that situation. Bottom line is burying the chances you are bound to get 5 on 3. Was quite surprised he didn't up it back to a two man advantage once a UND skater came back though. Since most coaches rely heavily on analytics, I would bet they have some book as to where the biggest advantage comes, and when to pull the goalie in those situations.
  3. Exactly, let’s take care of home ice next weekend and not leave it to the final weekend like last year.
  4. If we won both games in o.t., that would put us at 48 points. If Duluth and St.Cloud still play CC, St.Cloud could get to 49 points, and Duluth 48.
  5. If those wins are in regulation, I think that would be the case.
  6. But you come back to the board with outrage about UND, not the hit on Scheel. O.k.
  7. Well, how about that, after ripping UND players to no end you didn’t feel the need to post on a hit that deserves a 3 game suspension until after you were called out on it.
  8. Funny how you ranted on every single one, but had no response to the hit on Scheel. Makes one go hmmmm?
  9. Yeah, no sign of it, so who knows. Maybe they were talking about Hobie Hedquist, but he has been struggling.
  10. Carter Batchelder maybe? Plays with Jackson Blake at Eden Prairie. Not sure if he would be considered a prized recruit, but prized recruit might be different depending on where you are at with your program.
  11. Two years ago people were complaining because we weren’t getting to the hard areas to score goals, and now we want to bench someone for doing that. It isn’t like the Mismash major. Bench guys for the lazy stick penalties, not for getting to the net. Yes, he has to be careful, but you can’t tell someone to tiptoe around the net.
  12. Was the broken stick the Denver players?
  13. Yeah, I hope they aren’t getting lulled into thinking this game won’t turn on a dime if the bounces go the other way. Same with the penalties. You can’t just totally change your game when it gets to post season. Be aggressive, but do it with your skating, not your stick.
  14. We’re watching NCHC, because you have now set the standard that running into the goaltender is a 5 minute major regardless of intent.
  15. If you call that a major, then you have to call Benning for retaliating first. The most they should have come out of that was 3 minutes of power play.
  16. Ultimately the cutting of the women's hockey team was a financial decision, but it might have made it very difficult to do if a National Championship would have happened in that time frame.
  17. So Omaha has their best chance ever to make it to the "Frozen Faceoff"!
  18. Wisconsin will be leading the Big Ten after tonight.
  19. That’s right, I guess I just wasn’t paying attention because our second half was postponed for another week.
  20. https://cdn1.sportngin.com/attachments/document/9cc7-2299843/2020-21_NCHC_Conference_Schedule_-_Pod_and_Travel_FINAL_no_times.pdf#_ga=2.262356428.1593003323.1612064877-685657498.1612064877 This initial schedule had them playing 6 times. Don’t know if it was a misprint or if it was changed because of Covid issues, but you would think the two perceived best teams in each post Pod division would play each other 6 times. Playing teams like Omaha and Denver 6 times each is a bit more daunting than Miami and Western.
  21. Does anybody have the original schedule from the opening of the Pod? I thought Duluth and St. Cloud were to play each other 6 times.
  22. Childish behavior? Read your posts in reaction to things you don’t like. Of course everyone else is childish but you are mature in your posts.
  23. I don’t see St. Cloud losing to anyone but possibly Duluth. I could easily see us losing 2 or 3 to Denver or Omaha.
  24. So our games against Denver are reshuffled to accommodate CC’s schedule, and in the process we will be playing Denver while sitting an extra week, instead of continuing on our roll?
  25. Yes, that is what Scheel reacted to initially.
