Oh, you mean the guy that covered up the Mitchell Miller story and the Covid outbreak on the team? Would have thought that with all his blogging about responsibility during the Pandemic that he would at least let his readers know about it. When you are writing about the POD and the ramifications of positive tests in Omaha, wouldn't it be of interest if a certain percentage of the team already had Covid?

They are young and naive, what can you do. It’s like thinking kneeling for the National Anthem could stop fighting in hockey thus reducing violence in society as a whole. The thing we were worried about with Miller taking the focus off of the team is now happening with this. They actually just put a little more scrutiny on themselves, as if they don’t play well their focus will be in question. Be interesting to know if they planned on doing it with fans in the house. Would imagine they would get booed heartily.

Weatherby is from Oregon.

I would think without inter-conference play this year we would want teams we are paired with after the Pod to do well against the other teams, much like we want our league to do well for Pairwise. If teams we play a lot in the second half do well, it will help the optics if committees pick the tourney.

Looks like Arizona State will beat Wisconsin with Wisconsin missing players due to Covid protocol and World Juniors. My question would be does the committee that will most likely pick the NCAA tourney field take into account playing some games very short handed, or is it strictly wins and losses? May have spoken too soon, Badgers within two now, but the question is pertinent.

Notre Dame finishes off the sweep of Michigan.

Hopefully he progresses like Shane Pinto did after he committed.

We do have a long way to go, but this is one year where “it’s a long season” probably won’t apply, as I would anticipate a few games getting postponed. Hopefully with UND’s experience they start off strong so they don’t find themselves behind the eight ball, thinking they can have a second half run. There might not be a so called second half if there are too many cancellations and such. Perception of a team might come into play now more than ever, so let’s keep that perception right where it is at today!

You seem to be inspiring the Iron Rangers, as Mattson scored for Michigan State tonight.

Wasn't Atlanta a softy?

Just like their sports teams, Minnesotans enjoy being dominated!

Jack Adams from Union would be a good get. -
Really all we need to do is to keep our Pod healthy because history shows the NCHC was going to win the title anyway, so maybe the other teams figure why have a season anyway.

Constantini is tied for the BCHL scoring lead.

Tyler Dunbar named 1st star with a hat trick in Muskegon’s 10-8 win against Chicago. Jackson Blake with a goal and an assist for Chicago. Kunz, Schmaltz, and Bast also with goals in their respective games.

John Chenal got a few carries for Wisconsin in cleanup time against Michigan. Would have been nice to see him in a UND uniform.

With those and the added cushion of the hair, we should significantly reduce the risk of concussion.

Getting consistency out of a bunch of freshmen you are counting on is tough, but if you happen to be the team they go off on, you could be out of the tournament in a flash. I think Michigan has a few guys that stayed that make them dangerous. At tournament time you have to be cautious of a Holy Cross or an AIC, don’t know why you wouldn’t have some level of anxiety playing a team with numerous potential first rounders. -
Jackson Kunz was 1st star with 2 goals in Green Bay’s 4-2 win against Muskegon.

Wonder if the Big Ten is already on top of it, being that they created a scheduling agreement with Arizona State for this year. Who knows if that is just to fill out their schedules, but I would think there would be mutual interest. There may be other Big Ten members thinking about taking up hockey though.

Let’s see, you’ve just seen how things you did when you are young can follow you, and you choose to put something out there that could come back to haunt you as well. Where are the adults in all of this? I chose not to question parenting at first because sometimes you can preach right and wrong and still end up with a bad apple, but everything that has come out since speaks volumes.

...and don’t forget the lack of coverage about the hockey team’s Covid issues. Just like when he came late to the game on coverage of Women’s hockey, he sure has written a lot about this lately even though it was known since he was recruited, although some of the details were sketchy.

I certainly don't like the appearance of it because it seems to validate that whoever screams loudest controls the narrative, but truthfully he probably did Berry a favor. He won't be answering questions this whole year, and it doesn't give opponents the ammunition to negatively recruit against us from that standpoint.

With Kiersted, JBD and Rieger possibly leaving and Luke Bast and Morrow coming in, there could be room for Gabe to stay. Do you keep a character guy like Rieger? It would be hard to say you can't stay to guys that have given their all for the program, but this situation has muddled things.
