  1. On the positive side, Bubba has become more aggressive. Now he just has to pick his spots better. I would like to see them aggressive on key spots that can turn the game. Rather than a short pass over the middle that let time expire before half, how about going a little deeper and hope for pass interference. The wisdom of trying on fourth down when a worse Drake team stuffed you twice on the same play, would lead one to think another play would have been coming. Even if you make that first down, do you keep being aggressive to make it truly pay off in a momentum switch? Hard to know. It seemed if we were aggressive on a trick play on first down that left us behind the chains, we would be conservative on second down and got stuffed. We have already shown that we still throw short of the chains on 3rd and 6 or 7, just like we would on 3rd and 10, so why not have two passes to make that yardage. Next step is not having to rely so heavily on trick plays to move the ball against good teams.
  2. So who are the next targets? Grayden Slipec? Gracyn Sawchyn?
  3. Weatherby with a goal and assist tonight for San Jose.
  4. I’m guessing Rory qualifies for quite a while yet.
  5. Are 1st and 2nd rounders your definition of Blue Chiappas? If, not please reveal your definition.
  6. Which is why you invite big time recruits to that game. If you lose to them, they have the advantage anyways, so why not get them in the heat of the battle, and even if we get nipped, they might like the atmosphere and think they can be a difference maker to help flip the script next time. Maybe they enjoy the campus, the other players, or any number of things that could swing them our way.
  7. Last week they tried to get it closer, and fumbled. I have a feeling people would be ripping on him if that same thing happened again this time.
  8. Can Teddy Bridgewater kick field goals?
  9. Jackson Blake was first star and Jayden Perron second for Chicago preseason game against Muskegon. Blake had 2 goals and an assist, and Perron 2 goals. Livanavage also with an assist for Chicago, and Strinden with a goal for Muskegon.
  10. The fans willing to stand the whole game are ones you want because they are engaged in the game. If all the fans in the Alerus were like that, you would have one intimidating place to play.
  11. The opposing teams will appreciate not being heckled from above. Way to take away a part of the home field advantage.
  12. I don’t think it’s a stretch at all, as Denver was stymied just like we were a few years ago. They definitely have the talent.

To be fair, I was incorrect in that statement, as I saw the "Masks on for the vaccinated and unvaccinated", but missed the adhering to CDC policy of "recommending" masks.

Absolutely. I had a couple in my group back out.

Having reread it, I see after they say Mask on for vaccinated and unvaccinated guests, they add the CDC guidelines and indeed do have recommended in there. That changes things for me. Hopefully that will be the case for establishments as well.

Bridgestone Arena policy also shows face masks will be required. Explain that to me. If everyone is vaccinated or has a negative test, why face masks. Money back needs to be offered.

Are they offering ticket refunds, because the tickets weren’t bought under those premises. I have the shot, but don’t want a vacation not knowing all the places that are going to have stipulations.
  18. So this is what fans do. Utah State is saying they were shocked into playing and then after they were behind 21-7, throttled us 41-3 the rest of the way. UND fans say, if we only wouldn’t have taken down our own player it would be a different story. We need to get over the moral victory stage of our program. FCS teams are beating FBS teams more consistently, and teams a step above Utah State. Even mid level FCS teams can draw moral victories against FBS teams. Getting outscored by anyone at any stage of the game by 41-3 should not be something we draw comfort from.
  19. I look forward to the day when we are confident enough in our offensive line that we don’t have to rely on trick plays to score. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to have them in your back pocket, but would be nice to use them in game on the line situations. Those same plays that worked tonight can lead to getting in second and long or third and long situations if they get blown up, and we see how we performed when we get behind the chains. Obviously we needed them tonight to get the touchdowns we did get.
  20. So you’re good playing well 25% of the game. Usually the mantra is, we didn’t play a full 60 minutes.
  21. If UND beats the Bison, all is forgiven. If they don’t, well, it will just be considered business as usual.
  22. Hello Bubba, get your starters out of the game. If someone gets hurt now, it’s on you. Trying to be respectable now is dumb.
  23. I watched when we were at midfield and punted. Utah State turned and covered without even looking fake. I think at that point you try something to turn momentum. Bubba doesn’t get that. He thinks we are in Division 2 and can rely on our defense.
  24. You’re ahead 21-7 and you aren’t even in it at the end is disappointing to say the least. So we’ll hear we weren’t disciplined and missed some assignments.
  25. The fact that we don’t have any expectation against a team that was 1-5 last year is telling. Yes, they remade their lineup, but our experience should account for something.
