INCH does what they always do. Players can come straight from MSHSL and have a nice impact. Gophers have recently had guys like P. Martin, A. Goligoski and J. Barriball. I'm sure Oshie isn't the only UND kid to perform well straight from MSHSL. Yes the players are generally more prepared if they play USHL / BCHL / Shattuck / USNDP, but at this age it still often comes down to straight up talent and effort vs. where you played the previous season.

That little poke did nothing to deter Downie. I don't typically agree with much Sioux-Habit posts, but I'm with him 100%. It is just a matter of time between controversial incidents with him. Autographs for the most part are easy to acquire. Game worn jerseys are tough and they are extremely limited in supply. This jersey is doing very well. Team signed Gophers jerseys regularly sell for $100-$150 and game used go from $600-$2500.

I don't see any reason Duncan won't have another very good season. He has the scorer's knack. The key to the Sioux being the big time team they were the last half of the season will be Lamoureux playing great and finding the additional scoring to compliment Duncan/Oshie and the bluelines contributions.

I don't think I have ever rooted for the Wings until this series. I hope your right about them advancing, but I think the Ducks are far from done. They seemed like the better team for much of games one and two, but obviously they stunk last night. Hopefully that goalie has cracked and is beyond repair.

The WCHA is screwed up now as it is. Let's take Fairbanks as well, letting the CCHA absorb another desparate CHA team. I'd like to trade Omaha for UW straight up as well, but that can happen later. Twenty two game schedule. One trip to Alaska. Nobody cares about the league title so no crying about the six fewer games. Three extra weekends for whatever a team wants to do.

When Kessel played for team USA last year, it seemed like he was seeking one final validation he could play with the best in the world. JT should clearly know by now the same thing. If he returns, it is one of two things. UND is either paying him more than the Black Hawks can or he is strongly considering a power play to get out of that rediculous organization who drafted him far earlier than the CBA would allow.
