  1. Any word on teams after Glas yet?
  2. On the news last night they stated another way the poll was skewed. WDAZ stated about 230 alumni that signed the petition but almost 1/3 were Indian. Surprise, surprise at the results.
  3. Anyone know the story of how Dungy ended up here?
  4. UNC-W sure has written the book for how NOT to run a search for a head coach, rather embarrassing for them.
  5. Excellent point, Rich is holding this program hostage right now. It kind of reminds me of what Favre is doing to the Packers, but Rich doesn't deserve any leeway like Favre. Rich is setting this program even farther behind than he normally has it. It is quite obvious that Rich is going to accept the job, I don't believe that in any way could he come back and lead the program now. I would like to know what Buning's options are because everyday this goes on, the program is losing even more ground. If they have to keep the process open for two weeks, that means that we are at least 3 weeks from having a new coach and him/new coach contacting these possible recruits, will we have any of these recruits left by then....how many scholarship players will the team even have? Richie is putting the screws to the program again. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out of town Reverend.
  6. That would be getting into the Leinweber range....somebody who never came close to playing up to his talent because of his inability to get stronger and put on weight.
  7. Just to let everyone know that after winning this pool, ESPN has been in contact to start negotiations to replace Bob Norton as their college hockey studio analyst. I believe I will hold out for Berman $$$.
  8. There is no doubt Bledsoe's future is uncertain. Any one who follows the NBA just seen how Amare Stoudamire tried to come back from similar injury and had to to shut down again right away. It was getting close to a year from his surgery.
  9. Just wondering if anyone else noticed the next three Frozen Fours are in cities which are home to the 3 biggest beer companies. Milwaukee-Miller, St. Louis- Anheuser Busch and Denver-Coors. UND's reputation of having the fan following that drinks the most will only be enhanced.
  10. You want ridiculous...I had bid on a couple tickets on ebay, but had not even come close. So another seller from ebay emails that he a pair in the lower bowl he'd let go for $1300. Yep, I'll take all you have!
  11. Why won't those three be back, players or coaches decision?
  12. That would be pretty sweet, especially if somehow the Sioux fans could sit within a section with their green on.
  13. Lindahl Interesting note from the Monday Herald regarding the Grand Am tourney over the weekend. Evan Lindahl was division MVP as he and a bunch of former Sioux players won their division. Lindahl also said he had played in a few other tournaments. It sure is interesting how three weeks after the season can play in all these tournaments now, but couldn't practice much during the season which lead him to being out of shape. He also missed games, barely could make it on Thurs-Sat weekends, I heard different times that it was good thing that the NCC was no longer Fri and Sat games because he couldn't of played many weekends. Multiple games on weekends now.....that's quite a quick recovery.
  14. Don't forget the $6 "handling charge" they keep from each winning and losing entry.
  15. Anyone have details on Al's bus?
  16. Notice, I said yet! I didn't say they would never have made the jump. UND had moved into these new arenas, had won 6 Naional titles the last decade plus another 5 runner-ups in the title games. NDSU has had one runner-up(in the major spectator sports) during that time frame. I believe they were needing a boost to the programs and that was the way to do it, it's alright, just admit that maybe things were sped up a little bit because of the rivalry. UND chose to see what the NCAA is/was going to do with scholarship limits and reclassification of divisions. UND has much less pressure to move because the great success being enjoyed by fb,wbb and hockey. Fans will put up with playing a poor non-conference schedule when the teams are going deep into the playoffs most years.
  17. Like I have said all along, if UND didn't have an ultra successful DI hockey program full of tradional.....NDSU wouldn't have made the jump to DI yet.
  18. How about the other Wooster? Odds would favor both leaving, wouldn't it?
  19. St Cloud advances with a 78-71 win over Shaw.
  20. That's what I mean, are we any farther along than 3 years ago.....I would say not.
  21. It's a good thing UND has wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars on this program to be possibly worse off than it was 3-4 years ago.
  22. St cloud by 7 over Shaw with 4 minutes left in first half.
  23. With Jake staying at UNI, there goes my dream of Tim Miles going to UNI and Richie going to NDSU!
  24. Well, I certainly think a big part of both Blais and Roger being gone has a lot to do with the mess that has been the REA management....one or both might have left anyway with the opportunites presented them, but I feel the situation within made UND much easier to leave. star2city, I agree that some new blood is good, but if Rob's job gets filled form the outside, pretty much all the power positions with UND athletics will not have a local background. Kupchella, Hodgson, Buning and Rob's replacement would be outsiders. With UND athletics at a crossroads and some huge decisions to be made, I would like at least some local ties in those positions. I realize UND has groups being formed to study to help, but when it comes down to it, these are the ones to sign off on it.
