  1. Just got in from the Al Hrabosky Sports Bar, Duncan winning sure helped ease some of the pain for everyone. The bar did a great job catering to Sioux fans all weekend. The DJ would start a "Ryan-Duncan" "Hobey-Baker" chant in between every couple of songs. The whole bar would chant it for about 20 seconds each time.

Two more here for the Hilton at the Ballpark.
  3. If WDAZ decides to do the first game, they will probably get just as many angry calls because that means "Lost" would be bumped and re-aired at some other time. Anyone know how many the charter bus had sign up?
  4. Hennessey said on radio that team was leaving around 9:00 am.
  5. So what is the status of everyone else? How bad is Koenig? How long before Dryburgh can resume contact?
  6. He had his surgery in last day or two I believe.
  7. For anyone interested in seeing a couple of future Sioux, the ND Girls Class B Region 2 Tourney will be at the Betty next week. Dakota Prairie plays at 6:00 pm Monday against Grafton and includes Kirstie Gillett ('07) and Jenna Gillett ('08). Semis are Tuesday and Finals on Thursday.
  8. Good point. Roebuck said the same thing in so many words at Sioux Boosters today. He stressed tomorrow's game as pivotal about a half dozen times. I don't think he knows what to expect his team to do either. In a way he was challenging the women to step up and play with some passion again. I really believe that he is a bit worried about this team, some very interesting comments from him. Another slipup and UND won't be hosting the NCC tourney or the regional.
  9. 7 points off the bench the last two games certainly doesn't help either. Also missing Karla Beck is huge with the way she has been playing, one of the hardest workers on team and plays with a passion. This team certainly isn't playing with the emotion needed to win in the NCC right now. Players with heads down isn't something we have seen too often with the women in the past. Interesting too see how they rebound from these last two losses.
  10. Thomas Dryburgh punctured a lung in last nights game. Down to 7 players for Saturdays game. Pretty thin in the post.

  13. Last weekend's group that was visiting included a kid from Kearney,NE. Definitely a new area.
  14. Only 5 minutes to reel one in! If you took the under, you're a winner!
  15. How about Chapman? He has been looking to move up in the past and he is a big DI proponent. So what better than a school with a program with a rich tradition and 7 DI titles.
  16. Here is a link for more photos from Jenna's high school team, she is # 52. Her cousin Kirstie is #32, who will be at UND next season. Jenna won't be in the photos from the Saturday game against Drayton or Friday game against Carrington. Jenna is definitely a project, but with a red shirt year, it will almost 3 full years before she would be eligible for a game. Players at this level are hard to judge because they don't have to work that hard to dominate, just use size and strength. Definitely hard to tell how she will end up with some hard work and good coaching. They were ranked # 2 in state last week, but fell this week following a loss with Jenna sitting out because of her knee. photos
  17. Didn't know that facts were jealousy. I just stated that WDAY wasn't spending the resources that some presumed they were. Also stated that when a school doesn't have playoffs for awhile, these type of games become bigger. Simple facts.
  18. Before everyone gets all excited about the Bison getting a game on, just realize WDAY is not producing the game. They are having their own announcers, but picking up the video from ESPN Regional who is doing the game for ESPN Full Court and the local Iowa St network. Remember this is a big thing in Fargo as very few of their teams(spectstor sports) could even make playoff runs in lowly DII in their last years of competition.
  19. From today's Herald Harkins
  20. Not a former Sioux, but definitely an attention getter. Boston Globe
  21. I just liked the way the men fought back last night. Many times the last few years, they just couldn't find that last run at the end of the game. Just even getting a shot off in that last posession of regulation, much less a OT forcing bucket was huge. It is a long, long way to go, but at least it was a small step. There was even a decent crowd at the end of the game to see the run.
  22. Unfortunately, I have to be worried as long as these injuries are nagging. It's the one thing that could beat us besides ourselves. If we are healthy, with this much depth, even the refs are going to have a tough time beating us.
  23. Southpaw, Once again though, this wasn't a surprise.....no one thought the Sioux would be playing at home all fall anyway. All fall, it was pretty much granted the Sioux would be playing on the road this weekend. So once WDAZ found out on Monday that everything wasn't going as smoothly as planned, they just gave up? Everything should have already been done, so if word did come later...they would be ready to go. And they are our "Home Team"
  24. That's what I figured. These injuries are starting to worry me. Langen and her ankle could go on all season possibly, which would really hurt her conditioning, I don't think she moved once she got into a lane last night...on either end. If it is Ledger's back, that is pretty much an on going condition since she came to UND. With Sannes, no one knows when that knee is going to act up either. That great post depth the Sioux have is going to be on thin ice, as least in the immediate future.
