  1. Would you rather they didn't make the playoffs? If so, there is a team to the south to follow, they won't diappoint so much.
  2. Stafford did in fact have a MRI yesterday.
  3. Pretty good source told me Drew would be getting a MRI today, maybe more details will come out tonight or tomorrow. This person also said there was very little limp, if any when he seen Drew early this afternoon.
  4. Anyone know how Ledger's back is doing and if she will be able to contibute more minutes this coming weekend?
  5. Vince Young would say "who cares what the damn answer is because I am going to make more money than all of ya".
  6. Another common Richie quote/story/excuse is when the other team has a nobody "step up" out of nowhere, it seems a non-scorer is always coming up with a big game of 15-20 pts against the men. Well Richie, why aren't you stopping him and how come UND never has someone do it themselves? I also would like to know the reasoning behind the 6 votes for Glas...does he have a lifelong pass with some people?
  7. I heard it is a knee problem, but does anyone know what exactly? Something that he can come back from easily? Or was it bad such as blown ACL and MCL's?
  8. Somebody better check where John Scott was when the accident happened.
  9. If anything, they should name a model after him!
  10. I loved Prp's little reminder to Pauky, just to let him know that the Sioux remember what he did. Paukovich has to be skating lightly out there knowing things like that can happen(and should) more to him. I would never encourage something that would seriously injure a player, but I highly promote little "love taps" against the Paukovich's of the world. He has to have his head on a swivel when Prp's on the ice with him. Prp picked the perfect time, which as stated earlier, isn't always the case.

    Toews

Haktol was on "Beyond the pond" this morning with Dubay on KFAN. He said the player that the off week awhile back helped the most was Toews....he said they noticed it practice right away....a whole different energy level. The rest helped him take his play to a higher level after the world juniors had drained him. Dubay and Micheletti were quite complimentary to the Sioux...getting worried about possibly playing in the GF regional.
  12. Nice to see Minot took a couple of unsportsmanlike penalties after the Central eng.
  13. John Greicar named player of game.
  14. Feb 22nd rankings: 1 North Dakota 24-0 20-0 2 St. Cloud State 18-3 17-3 3 Wayne State (Nebraska) 19-2 19-2 4 Regis (Colorado) 21-4 17-3 5 Northern State 15-5 15-5 6 Concordia-St. Paul 15-8 14-8 7 Augustana (South Dakota) 14-7 12-7 8 Metropolitan State 15-8 15-6 9 Nebraska-Kearney 16-6 16-6 10 Minnesota Duluth 12-9 9-7
  15. I see where 11 kickers got invited to Indy, but Jeff Glas did not....wondering if that is a big deal or not when it comes to kickers?
  16. Kirstie Gillette had a couple of big games so far in regionals, averaging 26.5ppg and 10 rpg. Roebuck and Brewster were up in Grafton watching on Monday. She doesn't have much of an outside shot yet, hasn't had the need to....also needs alot of work on her ballhandling to play a wing. Dominates inside at that level, very strong under the basket, athletic enough to run the floor, plays hard. Definitely have to adapt to a different position to play in NCC, but ability is there.
  17. Sannes had a bout of the flu.
  18. It's too bad Grand Forks didn't keep him on the city council a little longer....he would of have fixed all the problems.
  19. Need two lower levels for Sat night. leave reponse or pm, thanks.
  20. Even more bad news, Josh Doyle is doubtful for Saturday's game at Duluth with a shoulder injury suffered last night.
  21. If you have moved on, what the heck are you doing on the Sioux board then? Remember, UND/GF's biggest criticism of the Bison was why not wait and find out more details, especially about a conference....how's that going? The Bison rushed in head over heals to actually think in their own minds they had one up on UND for once. If the Bison and SDSU had waited a few more years it probably would have been easier for everyone.
  22. UND had played in the Ralph already and knew it was crappy atmosphere. Second, no one thought for the future?...they had to conceive it was possible to play in the Betty, otherwise how the heck can they be in charge(oh yeah, most everyone is gone)....one must look to future possibilities, scheduling conflicts, knowing DI was a real possibility, etc. How can a $7 million project that was rushed be blown out of proportion, why couldn't they have waited....if it was funded directly from the athletic budget, I think we would hear more complaining about it. The biggest problems in UND athletics all come back to money (womens hockey, move to DI), and 7 million is a pretty nice chunk. Most peoples gripe is that everyone should have waited to see things more clearly than jumping head first.....the World Juniors were fun, but once again no one shows any figures that it turned much of a profit to justify it was a must that had to be built in a hurry. -It has been stated only one game has been a sellout, well two other games were very close. One would of have if students had been back (UNO) and the other probably would have (Mary) had it been a conference game. Remember that attendance is going to be down a little bit for the year with the goofy scheduling including all the Thursday games. Is scheduling ever gets back to Fri-Sat combos, I think we will amass 3,000 quite often, as history has proven. -If they were so sure nothing but VB and non-conference games were going to be played there, why even make it a 4,000 seat capacity(remember that is what they told us), what an idiotic move that was then. Non-conference games would at the most need 2/3 of that...I also can't imagine VB needing more than 2,000. -Another problem, if UND goes DI, which is almost inevitable....there would be huge conflicts with the Ralph. Conferences such as the Big Sky have a schedule that has either the men or women at home for two games almost every weekend for 2 1/2 months, DI was already a real possibility when the Betty was being planned. I would imagine there would be many more 3,000 + crowds if we start bringing better teams other than UMC and Mayville. How can no one have looked towards the future, especially when there was no rush to build this....I think everyone could of have withstood another year or two at the Hyslop to avoid a multi-million $$ mistake.
