Once again Toews gave a great interview while one move seemed to struggle to push out words. I was waiting for him to conclude by saying "That's all folks".

I am not sure if the athletes get some form of exception but the foreign student office did photocopy my Canadian passport. If the US goes to specail ID cards then no problem for its citizens I guess but the news stories in Canada have lead me to believe that passports will be required for a return to the US. Maybe another Canadian like Canuck has a different view on the subject.

This post is purely speculation on my part but it is an upcoming issue that could free up some US born talent that had planned on going to the Major Juniors. As of next year the US is also going to demand passports of anyone entering the US from Canada. We all know that teenagers typically do at least one or two bone-headed things before becoming adults (wow that was a long time ago ) and it is very possible that some kids are carrying records of some kind. If I am not mistaken, just as in Canada, even a misdemeanor can mean no passport. For example some US born players in the Canadian Football league are having to abandon their careers because of minor offences. I just hope it doesn't impact any of the Canadians we already had in mind.
