  1. Oh your welcome I guess if you are happy with what was supposed to be a lock on the number one selection ala Crosby and Ovechkin before the season started. His one dimensional game got exposed for what it is. I hope USCHO and INCH picks your teams incoming class as number one again this year.
  2. Note to Bucky, check out this headline on TSN before it disappears then read the story. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/ For those of you who missed the headline on TSN tonight it reads "No Longer Number One" and discussed Kessel dropping to number four in the prospect rankings behind 1. Johnson 2. Toews and 3. Staal
  3. As in a Tom Collins at Blarneys?
  4. I agree with Zajac, especially given that he is already in Schneider's head as the best forward he has played against.
  5. Poor Bucky, you seem to only soak up what get's your attention. Try Ritalin. There are a bunch of us that hope Toews will return given that he will be a very young draft pick, and that is all that I have seen posted. On this board we are all smart enough to realize that many of the first several picks in the NHL draft get picked that high for a reason. If Chicago wins the first pick I will not fall out of my chair or slit my wrists if Toews gets selected and signs. It is a reality of pursuing this type of player. If these facts are all too disturbing for you to accept please direct to your time to the Lala-land that exists on GPL. Housley, Bucky, Housely Hoser or however you spell his name
  6. Sssshhhh, I think that was Buckysieve's post and he is listening.
  7. As you always demand of us, this was written where? Or did the Don blurt this during his weekly bikini wax. You never agree with what we post here so why not talk to one of your own writers who in a USCHO article wrote: "Johnson - who has scouts drooling to the point where he may never actually play for Minnesota" in the article at this link: http://www.uscho.com/news/id,12522/ForMinn...owsSuccess.html I would never assume that any Sioux player is returning next season until I see his name in the official roster release. Best guarantee I would dare attempt is that Bina will be in the Kelly Green next season.
  8. A team that is in need of D-men, Pittsburgh
  9. I doubt the Sens will pick him up. Besides owning Elliot, they have Glas and Thomson in their farm system.
  10. The two goalies they unloaded were Lalime and Hurme and most fans here I believe rejoiced.
  11. Has Elliot been drafted yet? If not, hopefully he will be available first. Following next weekend, there are less than two full weeks of NHL hockey left and most playoff positions will be set. Therefore, on the bright side, the truly needy teams will already be eliminated and in a position to fill any of their still active AHL teams with some eligible players from their own rosters. IMO the only team still fighting for their playoff lives that has needs in net and on D is Tampa Bay which is why I fear they will be keeping a close eye on the FF.
  12. I get tired of topics getting closed because trolls like Buckysieve get on here and starts an argument by telling Sioux fans to stop looking at life with Green glasses on. Well although this is not a true early out story, in a sense it is because it mentions a prospect we have discussed and shares our opinion that he may never be a Gopher, E. Johnson. Like many on this site, I would hope that in the future the trolls get closed out instead of letting them win by locking our threads. http://www.uscho.com/news/id,12522/ForMinn...owsSuccess.html
  13. So you talk to the Don on a regular basis too?
  14. Yes but where are your tickets. this one is nosebleed behind a net.
  15. Well Cletis, of course he has to shot the gall dang puck because unlike Oshie and Toews he can't get close enough to bury it.
  16. Yep and a time or 2 it they were from the bench.
  17. I am sure all his little buddies are rasing a glass to him at Blarneys as I type.
  18. Is there enough room on the nameplate to accomodate "Gopher Exterminator" ?
  19. He was already on the first line against Ottawa for Tuesday nights SO win.
  20. I seem to recall that about 25 years ago that the Gophers were certain that a young 18 year old D-man was going to wear the brown and yellow but if memory serves me correct Phil Housley jumped straight to the Buffalo Sabres. There have been others and there will continue to be others. When you are talking someones playing career and abilities "A handshake is as good as a wink or a nod to a blind man".
  21. But I thought we were talking about Gopher recruits
  22. He definitely would win quickest exit from the NCAAs by a WCHA team.
  23. Wow sorry, I should have know better than to compete with the Don's hairdresser. Additionally, I have never known any 18 year old to change their mind even when an immediate $600K+ payoff is involved. Silly me what could I have been thinking of.
  24. His school year started when? Wasn't it at the WJC that he found out just how well he compared to all the other prospects. As a result NHL Analysts say otherwise, money talks and Johnson will go pro. I think you are the one who has difficulty believing and accepting the facts. Why else was it so hard for you to believe and accept that Oshie is a better hockey player than the one move wonder.
  25. Besides, if Pittsburgh gets the first pick they will take Johnson and they will bring him right into the NHL. Chicago or St Louis would pick Toews and I am not sure which way Washington would go.
