I will openly admit that I get enjoyment out of any opportunity that presents itself to show arrogant and ignorant UMN fans that they are not at the center of the hockey universe. Alhough I don't intend to buy or wear a HC jersey myself, just the feedback from the trolls who lurk on this site suggests that it was money well spent.

Hmmm, perhaps you could at least get agreement with your assessment from Alaska
-
Nope, he was still playing in the RBC tournament while the visit took place.

Hi Kettle, it sure didn't take you long to get home from Latvia. I guess the one move didn't work out so well over there either. I guess even the Swedes had it figured out this time.

and some of us don't

This is hardly bad news nor is it even a surprise. Only the Sioux coaches can decide if and when he is ready.

Don't be so sure that Lammy isn't going to have a fight for the number one job this season.

I believe that Hak #1 may have already let us know we were getting cold on that guess. Besides the kid is still somewhat struggling to find his game in juniors. I am still trying to figure out who the other recruit visit was, the one who may have been named Anthony and had darker skin. Anyone?
-
Thats why I suggested that perhaps he changed his mind on the OHL. Until he plays a game of Major Junior anything is possible.
-
Did anyone ever figure out who this other recruit visit was. As a final guess was it perhaps Anthony Perdicaro who played for Northern Michigan of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey league. Sault Ste Marie of the Major Juniors drafted him and were really high on his in your face play. He sounds like the perfect replacement for Prpich and maybe he decided to come to the WCHA vice the OHL. http://houndsforum.com/index.php?showtopic=525

I believe there are four teams that could make him an offer; New Jersey, Tampa Bay, Chicago or Vancouver.

I am proud of my old beer league banners that hang on my family room wall too.
-
And all the same baggage and controversy too.
-
Wouldn't it be hilarious if he didn't find out about it until the Sioux Roster is released.
-
I just felt that his quick response deserved some kind of recognition.
-
Give him a chance to honk his rodent horn and he is always just there waiting in the weeds.

It may be Elton's song but it is performed by the Canadian band Nickelback. You can hear it every Saturday night to kick off Hockey Night in Canada. Regarding the fight, I only wish it could have been a Gopher on the receiving end but then it would have been over real quick.

With all of the conflicting clues in this thread I strongly suspect that two different recruits may have visited the campus this week. I am just glad to hear that at least one of them liked what he saw or was offered.
-
Well at least he could give us some better hints like league or position.
-
Based on this post and the one in the roster thread you must know exactly who it is so why not share the info with the rest of us.
-
If all the other clues we have seen regarding a goaltender from Toronto are accurate then perhaps it is Anthony Grieco. Perhaps Sioux scouting saw something others didn't? http://www.wellingtondukes.com/team.htm

I don't know what happened to the Devils but it would appear that the Sens had it too easy in the regular season and can't deal with a team that pressures them with speed. As for Vanek, his playing time has been limited due to his lack of defensive play. After the Philly series you could still see Ruff picking pieces of Vanek's left ear from out of his teeth.

Matt Greene got a fair share of the ice time in Edmontons 3-2 win. He also got a couple of good shots off from the point and nearly had the first goal of the game.

Why Siouxnami is optimistic about the 2006/2007 Fighting Sioux!
Sioux_Hab-it replied to siouxnami's topic in Men's Hockey
The world is made up of both optimists (half-full) and pessimists (half-empty) which is what I keep in mind when I read the posts. IMHO the glass is definitely still at least half-full. -
You have me scratching my head on this one. How much of a tan are we talking about? Perhaps it was the impressive 17 year old D man from the Winnipeg South Blues, Drew Ellement? Also one of the best provincial baseball players in his age group http://www.wsblues.mb.ca/profiles/Ellement.html
