  1. Goon, when all is said and done regarding this matter, once again everyone will say we should never have doubted the Sioux staffs ability to both coach and recruit players. My only concern about this coming season is that the only trip out east will take place while a third of the regular team is at the World Juniors. Just my luck.
  2. I believe Hak#1 also let us know we were getting cold looking at the NAHL.
  3. Nice try Archie. How many other bogus IDs have you created and posted to over the years. I now realize that you don't have much of a chat in GPL, I guess you don't have much of a personal life either.
  4. How many on average year leave the Sioux each year? How many former Sioux teams had as many elite or first round picks in their lineup. I think you are throwing in the towel a little bit early.
  5. The reality is that any of the top five picks could go professional right away and normally the decision rests in the hands of the teams that pick them. Of course the players will all say I'll be there in the fall because they don't want to burn any bridges with their team or their fans. Unfortunately, players like Michigan's Johnson have become the exception vice the norm. The coaches know this is the case and I am confident that they have some extra prospects in mind and will reveal them to us if and when any departures become a reality.
  6. As long as they are free of snot goblin stains count yourself lucky.
  7. As in the player who has made it as far as the entrance to the Devils dressing room, Door-Matt Demarchi. His game has not changed even in the AHL.
  8. Picking who will go when is a challenge as there are too many uncertainties even on draft day itself. The TSN staff have stated that Pittsburgh is desperate to get Johnson into their lineup and are predicating that the Penguins management won't take a chance and will trade up to get the number one pick. If it winds up being a position change with St Louis it is a strong possibility that they could select Toews with the second pick.
  9. I think he understood and meant to say colder to both.
  10. I have to admit that last week I finally had a look at their GPL site and now I understand why the poor wretches come here. About only one third of the topics/threads have anything to do with college hockey let alone their own team. Most of the topics are also negative and hate filled. So cut them some slack because where else can they go to find knowledgeable fans that will provide them with credible and accurate WCHA info.
  11. Actually, a goaltender rotation or early goaltender departures are no surprise when the Don is involved. You have already seen the unexpected early departure of one UMN goalie and while he was coach at CC the position was more like a revolving door. I am just relieved to hear that he may be keeping the WCHA's favorite sieve instead.
  12. I will openly admit that I get enjoyment out of any opportunity that presents itself to show arrogant and ignorant UMN fans that they are not at the center of the hockey universe. Alhough I don't intend to buy or wear a HC jersey myself, just the feedback from the trolls who lurk on this site suggests that it was money well spent.
  13. Hmmm, perhaps you could at least get agreement with your assessment from Alaska
  14. Nope, he was still playing in the RBC tournament while the visit took place.
  15. Hi Kettle, it sure didn't take you long to get home from Latvia. I guess the one move didn't work out so well over there either. I guess even the Swedes had it figured out this time.
  16. and some of us don't
  17. This is hardly bad news nor is it even a surprise. Only the Sioux coaches can decide if and when he is ready.
  18. Don't be so sure that Lammy isn't going to have a fight for the number one job this season.
  19. I believe that Hak #1 may have already let us know we were getting cold on that guess. Besides the kid is still somewhat struggling to find his game in juniors. I am still trying to figure out who the other recruit visit was, the one who may have been named Anthony and had darker skin. Anyone?
  20. Thats why I suggested that perhaps he changed his mind on the OHL. Until he plays a game of Major Junior anything is possible.
  21. Did anyone ever figure out who this other recruit visit was. As a final guess was it perhaps Anthony Perdicaro who played for Northern Michigan of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey league. Sault Ste Marie of the Major Juniors drafted him and were really high on his in your face play. He sounds like the perfect replacement for Prpich and maybe he decided to come to the WCHA vice the OHL. http://houndsforum.com/index.php?showtopic=525
  22. I believe there are four teams that could make him an offer; New Jersey, Tampa Bay, Chicago or Vancouver.
  23. I am proud of my old beer league banners that hang on my family room wall too.
  24. And all the same baggage and controversy too.
  25. Wouldn't it be hilarious if he didn't find out about it until the Sioux Roster is released.
