  1. Tough to argue with those comparisons. TJ is the hardest working player in the NCAA while JT has the most natural talent/potential so it will be fun to watch them compete for the Hobey.
  2. What would you expect the owner of a CHL team to say if he sees his league starting to lose talent, exposure and hype to another.
  3. In some ways he is alot like Finley. Not the greatest skater on the ice but when you are that size each stride gets you down the ice quicker than someone who has to take two. I asked others in the stands if he was going to go Major Junior next year and no one seemed to think so. The much smaller Nepean players could not get to the front of the Hawkesbury net when he was on the ice. He just turned 19 so he is already a seasoned junior player. Here is the Hawks roster if you wanted to check it out: http://www.hawkesburyhawks.com/hawks.html As an aside their Captain (Picard) has committed to Ohio State and the Dman who was the playoff MVP (Hudson) has committed to Canisius.
  4. I got to watch my hometown Hawkesbury Hawks win the CJHL playoff last night. They look even stronger than last year when they went to the national championship (Final Four) and there is no interconference play so I wouldn't put too much weight on these rankings. The Hawks big 6'7" Dman Gravel is still available as far as I know and looked like Chara on the Special teams with his long reach.
  5. Hmmmm, seems to be a common theme with alot of kids that the Don has coached.
  6. What do you mean "try to" ?
  7. I often wonder what makes someone spend so much time lurking on another teams board, is it envy or are some condsidering switching allegiances.
  8. When is the media conference so the one move wonder can announce his displeasure. In reality he could slip to number 6 on draft day as he is most certainly not the type of player that would thrive in Beantown.
  9. Lee, we now all appreciate how special it is when someone dedicates a full four years to the program. We definitely need more players like you who are willing to come into the lineup when and where required and give 100%. All the best in your future endeavors.
  10. Injured players don't normally attend the Combine as it would be a waste of time and money.
  11. I watched Souray (big man) get burned by Briere (half-pint) in last nights Montreal/Buffalo game and I doubt Souray will get benched anytime soon.
  12. Weren't you part of the the old "glass is half empty" crowd last season as well? Trust Hak, despite the departures the Sioux are doing a solid reload and will still have an outstanding group of Sophomores.
  13. For that matter even UMN and UMD will be better than Bucky next season.
  14. Oh well, we all hoped differently but this is not unexpected.
  15. If I were a player I would get tired of the prying questions that I am sure they are getting bombarded with on a regular basis. Therefore, it is possible that Finley gave you that response for effect and was pulling your chain. Did you then rush to the Devs chat to post what he told you per chance?
  16. The Russian Rocket was Pavel Bure and I wouldn't call Sparky a Russian if I were you.
  17. Mike, I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said in this thread, so thank you for four years of dedication, effort and entertainment.
  18. I can't wait to hear Woog attempt that one. It might give him permanent lock-jaw.
  19. Didn't spot that listed anywhere but thanks. The Captain of my hometown Hawkesbury Hawks also committed to Ohio State so I guess the Buckeye scouts have been at the games and I just didn't notice. I watched Holy Cross's goaltender replacement (Ian Dams) play for the Nepean Raiders tonight and I think they got a real good one.
  20. So Bucky, by your great logic, I guess you are conceeding that the one move wonder's freshmen season really was a bust. After all he was supposed to come in a dominate games other than the four against Alaska. (or Norway)
  21. Hey now they get to hang a DQ banner in their rafters.
  22. I have to admit I thought we would have heard about Smaby by now. There must be a few I's to dot and T's to cross but Tampa needs help On D today not tomorrow. As for JPar, it would make sense because the Devs don't have a reliable backup to Brodeur and we have the good old pipeline to NJ. I hope Zajac goes with his heart and stays to play with his brother next year but I won't hold my breath.
  23. If there was a knowledgable adult hockey fan on your end maybe there would have been a meaningful conversation. AZSioux merely gave you the response an arrogant and ignorant troll deserves.
  24. I have been following the Central Junior Hockey Championship Games since my hometown Hawkesbury Hawks are still in the mix. Everyone was raving about St Cloud's recruit from Pembroke, Latsch, but I can tell you that the Cornwall Colts Captain Ian Boots is just as dynamic a forward with more grit and I believe he is still uncommited. He is an overage junior so perhaps academics have come into play but if not and the Sioux do have numerous defections to the Pros it might be a big plus in battling the NCAA to have a Native American in the lineup with some age experience too. Also someone else would could put the Boots to the Gophers.
  25. That is hilarious. I kept watching to see if one of them would dive like Earl.
