I agree as it is difficult to imagine where the Mavs will get their scoring. I had a good laugh reviewing recent posts on USCHO, as some of the Goof's faithful are attempting to use straight Stats to explain how much better they will be than everyone else with all of the departures. My advice to any students who are considering a Major in Stats at UMTC is go to Holy Cross instead.

Or erect a shrine in the zamboni bay. They could call it the Blarney Stone.

Duncan Keith would also be a perfect example of why you shouldn't try and rush things.
-
He is a bright kid and he has to realize that with the players that Chicago has picked up he would see alot more of Norfolk if he does sign. If he comes back to UND and puts up the big numbers he would likely be in a better position to step directly into the Hawks lineup at the end of the NCAA season. The bad news as we already knew is that Chicago is one of those teams that never lets their recruits properly develop which has hurt players like Bell and Daze in the long run.

You didn't add the all important "and never return"
-
No word on Toews returning to Chicago but according to the Black Hawks website Skille is still in town (negotiations?) and will be online for questions tomorrow (formal introduction?). With Pavelski already signed, this week could be a double whammy for Bucky.

Excuse me for interrupting your little sidebar conversation about the one move wonder but could you please take it elsewhere. This thread is supposed to discuss Toews. Thanks

I could never understand why it took this long for a playmaker like Genoway to get a contract. Show them what you can do kid.

Despite the date of release this article appears to have been written before the Havlat trade so I would dismiss it.
-
Sens don't need Lee anymore as they picked up two D-men in the Havlat trade, Preissing and Barinka.

Another encouraging article. http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/blackhawks.asp?id=206519

Toews is listed as one of the signers at the big event at the Hall of Fame, so regardless of what Chicago decided I would bet that he is in Toronto. In fact the Hawks website states that the scrimmages will continue today and tomorrow without him. I see he also scored another impressive goal in his teams 8-4 loss. http://www.hhof.com/html/newsCanadaDay.shtml

They were all there yesterday and once again Skille's line dominated with Bolland. http://www.chicagoblackhawks.com/index.asp

This is great news as it gives Chicago another experienced center in Smolinski. The trading of Barinka leaves a nice vacancy for Skille. And with Preissing going to Ottawa they won't need Lee.
-
A selfish lot aren't we Did I happen to mention that for one week and one week only I will be cheering on the one move wonder.
-
This time Red crushed White 11-4 so the focus has shifted to Skille who has been consistent every scrimmage. Toews is not mentioned and my fingers are crossed. http://www.chicagoblackhawks.com/news/news.asp?story_id=3342

Are you telling me I have been getting false info from my Crown Royale Time to switch
-
Wow, I am surprised that they didn't see what he could do first. Hopefully they will make the same pre-camp decision on Ohsie.
-
You forgot the key word "only"
-
You are correct, you need goatending too.
-
This issue really is a moot point as the UND staff have signed other players with more potential and you can't sign everyone. When SCSU starts signing first round draft picks and blue chip D-men then maybe we can resume this discussion.

Here is a poll we don't want Toews to win so get on there and vote for Barker. http://www.chicagoblackhawks.com/index.asp Rumor has it that Johnson didn't impress enough to stick with the Blues. Update, apparently it was more than a rumor
-
Toews is at a development (prospects) camp, no contract or pay involved. In order to attend the teams training camp a player must be under contract for the season in question because pay, benefits and insurance are involved.

Commie shaved his head again. Today's Best on the NHL home page shows him and Brindamour holding the Cup in front of a water falls at Campbell River, British Columbia. http://www.nhl.com/

The story is now on TSN. Good Luck Jordy. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=170648&hubname=
