Here is all you need to know about Kolpack and his blind homerism. Dee Gray, a receiver from Illinois signs with the Bison this past winter. Kolpack interviews his coach for the Bison Blog and the coach states this: "....Gray’s 40-yard time is somewhere between 4.5 seconds and 4.6. A 200 runner in track, Murphy wasn’t positive but he thought his best time in that event was either 20.6 or 20.8 seconds." So Kolpack goes ahead and prints that to get everybody in a frenzy that they stole this 6'4" receiver who runs a 4.5 forty and 20.8 - 200 meet dash. Didn't even bother to double check his track times on the internet. So what does he actually run? 23.07 in the 200 meters and 11.65 in the 100 meters (at one track meet in April). If he had ran a 20.8 he probably would have gone to either Alabama for football or LSU for track and been invited to the Olympic Trials.

Do they do their winter workouts in the Fargodome? Is it available at their beckon call? The answers are no and everytime they do want to use it, which is ONLY in the spring and fall, they have to pay for it. UND has the same availability at the Alerus.
-
Also, what I am happy about as far as UND's IPF goes, is how short-sighted NDSU was with their indoor track facility - no turf? Just a track facility. It will make UND's look really nice to recruits.
-
No he didn't over promise them. His promise, which is going to come true one way or another, is no different that what Saul has been telling basketball recruits for the past two years. Are any of the current players/recruits ever going to play in the new BB arena? I am confident that President Kelley would not have turned down the 10 million dollars if he didn't have the pledge from Altru in hand. They would have known about these issues during negotiations. Furthermore, what is going on at Altru financially with buildings, etc. does not always relate to marketing dollars - two separate areas. See Sanford as an example. Hospitals put large amounts into marketing.

Those smaller blue logo's are for the Big Sky, if I am seeing it right?
-
There is still spring football going on but after that.......
-
Unless NDSU changed their recruiting philosophy over the winter, I know they have a bunch of offers out, like I already said. Geography also plays a huge part. Who covers these areas also is big. Enough on this already, agreed.
-
Rivals is not a good way to go about seeing how many "offers" were put out. Extremely incomplete at this time of the year. I guarantee you 100% that NDSU, SDSU, and USD have all put out at least 30-40 offers to prospective recruits. They may hanot have gotten the same publicity that UND has through twitter by Edgy Tim, for example. USD is all over Illinois but we haven't heard of many offers.....You know they have. Do you really think Dale Lennon has only put out 1 offer so far for 2013? C'mon. Plus, guys like you are staying on top of this stuff so everyone is kept up to date. Props to you!
-
That amount of offers is par for the course in D1 football. I would think that 10-15 of the offers are to FBS bound players meaning they are now down to 25-30 offers, maybe. Out of that a team can only hope to get 5-10 of those early-offered kids. They are going to sign 20-25 players. Have to remember, these early offers are to the best of the best at our level. The coaches have to show interest early or they will be out of the running later.

The future scheduling for UND is looking outstanding! Faison is doing a nice job now that the transition is over.
-
So that means UND will NOT be playing an FBS team in 2013.
-
During the press conference somebody asked GT flat out if the only reason it was released is because somebody called and he said "yes".
-
Harassing an athlete, huh? Interesting.
-
I heard these same rumors back in 2009 before we played Texas Tech. They were told to me firsthand by a couple NDSU fans. Sounds eerily similar.

Yes. He was far from being the "coordinator" the last two years. At the end he was only coaching safeties with Bennie Boyd coaching corners and Mike Mannausau being the full time D-Coordinator. I am sure these changes are what led him to want a fresh start. He put in a lot of good years at UND and hopefully he can get Mary's defense playing better as they have struggled lately.

The MVC conference went 0-2 tonight (Evansville and Indiana State lost) in opening round play of the post season tournaments. Hopefully this is a good sign for the Sioux tomorrow night!
-
Anyone who has been down to TT knows they could not care less about nicknames or anything else. It is the wild west down there. That game program cover should show you that. There is nothing PC about Texas Tech.
-
He made enemies because he actually said "no" to coaches when they were asking for things. He kept UND in the black by doing so. Terry was definitely not a "schmoozer", but he knew how to run an athletic department. He is a hell of a nice guy too with a great family. Those coaches who got mad it him while he was here were the same ones who missed him so greatly when he was gone. They didn't realize how good they had it.
-
Unfortunately, that is exactly how it works. Look at the list, they have ND and NW-MN kids listed on their as 45. Kids who have never been to a camp in their life to be seen by ESPN. Because NDSU won, they automatically grade the kids. UND isn't the only school that got ignored, look around. This should further explain how messed up the ratings are for players that are at the FCS level in talent. Two-Star rankings on Rivals are the same thing.

It is Ryan Bartels-his picture is on the homepage.. Golladay should be on there too but am not sure either.
-
I think you are on to something.
-
I missed that part. That is not good, I was hoping Javen Butler would be the next safety for UND.
-
That is not what they said, about the Butlers. He said they are ineligible, which can mean many things. Coach stated they are still on campus.

Varner reminds me of Jer Garman. Looks like a good athlete.
