Here is a topic for discussion. Dou you think you will ever see a player play for both NDSU and UND? Will NDSU ever have a player transfer to UND? It seems like every D2 team UND play's, their bests players are D1 transfers. I guess they tranfer to D2 school because they dont lose eligibility. Say you were a QB or running back and you don't see much playing time in your future, would you change schools? And another thought. If say in 2 or 3 years UND decided to go to D1 AAAA or what ever they call it, do you think any players would transfer from UND to NDSU so they dont play 5 years of meaningless games like NDSU is doing now?

I wonder if you could call Bemidji State and Duluth our little sisters. At one time the Mens BB coach, Hockey coach and Football coach were all UND alum at BSU. Off course at UMD you have both hockey and Football coaches that are UND alumni.

UND will have the most talented centers in the league. There is another team that might be able to match our first 2 centers, but we will be deeper than any other team in college hockey. Zajac, Toews and Kozek are all BIG time players. Oshie has the potential to be big time. Kaip can play his role by chipping in a few goals and crash and bang top players on the other team. All these guys are high draft picks (Toews will be 1st round) and will play in the NHL. One of them will probably have to play wing because we are so deep. Stafford played some center at SSM. Remember Zajac scored like 6 goals in the 4 Ncaa playoff games. He is ready to carry the team. Toews will be second line center. Thats amazing because this kid would be #1 center probably any other year.

They should spread him around use him in a bunch of different ways. Remeber the Viks in 98 how they would put Palmer every where. Sometimes he would even take the snap from the shot gunn. My point is utilize his speed and talents. Put him in the back field and toss him the ball. Run the option and have him pitch back. Run reverses. Screens passes. He is fun to watch. Use him like Notre Dame use to use the Rocket. He is the NORTH DAKOTA ROCKET.

How good is GF Centrals Andrew Schultz? Sounds like he put on a great show friday. Sundays GF Hearld talked about Warren-Alvarado-Oslo player DJ McGregor who is 6'2" 310 pounds being a possible recruit at tackle. Does anyone know if Joel Schwenzfeier from Kittson Central is a brother to the Sioux player. Micheal Forney sounds like a great QB, but I would guess he will pursue a hockey career.

Ottawa signed their top pick from 2003 (I think that was the year) Defensemen Andrej Meszaros. Also I read an article from the Ottawa Sun that Jan 1st Ottawa can resign Redden and Chara. A lot of people were saying they couldn't afford both of them and one would get traded, but this article said they offered 3 players to sign for the same money so that they could keep all three guys. These 2 guys and Marion Hossa. The 2 Defensemen verbally agreed to the deal and Hossa didn't and then he was traded. My point is hopefully we get Lee longer then a year or two. I am being greedy, but I would love to see Lee play for at least 3 years. He is the best high school player I have ever watched and I cant wait to see him play in a Sioux jersey. I cant believe that no one is contributing to this thread. I want to know who are the studs in Bismark? Who is the best player in Fargo? How about Detroit Lakes or Crookston, is there any players to follow this fall. Any boys in the Twin Cities to be interested in.

JFR, Sine your in Jersey you better goto a Devils game and wear your Sioux Jersey and cheer for Zach and David. If you get down by the players rooms I am sure if your wearing a Sioux jersey they would go out of their way to get you autographs.

Now there is an added importance to have guys commited for a the future in case you need to pull them in early. Like if another forward left UND it is nice to have Vandevelde to bring in.

I was just wondering who will be the top area kids being recruited by UND? Which players will UND and NDSU have recruiting wars over? Last year there seemed to be a lot of top athletes in the area, is there that much talent around this year or is it down compared to last year? Is the running back from Cavalier going to be the big prize this year?

I assumed Carle was gone for sure because DU only graduted 2 Dmen and they are bring in 4 for this season, so they must of expected losing at least one guy maybe two.

Some one should start the Countdown. Dryland starts Thursday. Then 1st pratice on ice with coaches is Oct. 1st, I think. Like Football we should have a countdown to the first exh. game, 1st game and 1st home game. They wont have a roster out until the Manitoba game, but I bet it would be easy to figure it out now. Does anyone know of any local walk ons?

The Wild are going to surprise a lot of people. If the NHL calls the game to open it up, The Wild will have a great season. If after 2 months everyone rips the refs and they go back to the Holding and tackleing the Wild will be in BIG trouble. They are building a team that can play smart, skate and move the puck and play a team game. Right now it looks like there will be internal problems at Tampa bay because of Lecavliers contract. This is one thing the Wild are trying to avoid. They will sign someone if its the right person. Also they have great goaltending.

My point is that when you live in Minnesota and you rip it up in Pee Wee's, Bantams and High School a lot of people assume that you are going to the Gophers and you will be the best college player in the country, but when you are from a lower level program (not to rip TRF but its not Jefferson, EP, Holy Angels, ect.) they think you have a lot of points because you play up north. That why I am saying if Forney was from Jefferson or Dulth East the people a lot of people would be bragging that he will be a Gopher and they would know how good he is. I know how good he is and I hope he is the next to commit. By the way they had him on a visit last week.

I think everyone should ignore a certain idiot who keeps posting on this site. He is just searching for attention. I like the name Fighting Sioux and the new logo that was created by a Native American. I bet TJ Oshie will be proud to put on that Jersey.

Has anyone been following Micheal Forney he is at the same tourney that Toews is at. Forney is ripping it up too, he had a hatrick today. Hopefully the Sioux will get him to commit soon. The people in the cities have no idea how good this kid is. If he played at Breck or Holy Angels they would think he is the 2nd greatest player in the world. Hopefully he doesn't even consider the gophers.
