  1. NCAA has no authority over Bradley. They might send a note to NDSU officials reminding them they are responsible for their Alumni and boosters. This isn't a big deal unless they keep doing it and it becomes more public
  2. Don't respond unless he moves it to the UND Ag school thread.
  3. You don't seem to understand. There is a thread for this discussion under other sports. That is where to compare UND and the Ag School. Some of your questions are ok . In answer to your questions that fit on this thread, we need to recruit the kids who will help move the program forward and win games and championships. We will go after area and local kids and get them when we can, but we are still going after the best kids we can get, who fit this program and coaching philosophy that put us in the best position to win. The coaches and most of us don't waste time comparing. We have lots of needs and this staff seems to be doing a good job of doing just that. Most of the commitments so far are N. Dak., Minn. and Manitoba kids.
  4. UND recruited him. He went elsewhere.
  5. Not quite and that also belongs on the UND Ag school thread
  6. Yup and Mussman didn't offer even though alumni who knew the kid recommended him. Bohl didn't offer him either. Both schools were wrong, but the AC was lucky and got a great kid.
  7. No it won't. This belongs on the UND Ag school thread.
  8. Would want the best player. Dumb question. If they can handle the academics and don't have behavior issues doesn't matter which school they come from.
  9. Should have been offside. You are right cuz as soon as O-line reacted or got hit, play should have been dead. Announcers claimed d line jumping isn't excuse for RB to move but I thought play should have been over.
  10. Lacy had control of the ball and as soon as he is touched ball is dead. Longstanding rule.
  11. No comparison. He needs to heal and with a better oline, running game, and receivers who run the right routes, don't drop the ball and will attack every ball thrown their way, he will win. So will Bartels and so will Studsrud given time to mature. Our problem this year when Mollberg and Bartels were healthy wasn't the QB. Time will tell. I don't know what happened to Mertens, sometimes you aren't a good fit for a school or system. He might have had success elsewhere but I didn't pay attention to what was going on at the AC. Smart kid, good athlete.
  12. I believe he is recovering nicely. Should be ready for fall fb if things continue going as expected.
  13. The Ag school trolls have a point if we are losing recruits we have offered to St. Thomas. Might be an academic scholarship deal but I'm not sure about this. Anyone else offer him?
  14. I think Bartels will be number one coming out of spring practice. Studsrud number 2. Studsrud hasn't had time to mature and will need to prove himself as number one in spring ball to have a chance at #1. If Studsrud is number one, I would expect Bartels to transfer. If Mollberg is healthy, he is our best QB. It isn't fair to Studsrud to expect him to move ahead of Bartels this spring and certainly not fair to Bartels to move him behind a freshman who completed less than 40% of his passes (or whatever his final number was). He did a good job under difficult circumstances and hopefully will develop into our QB of the future. Bartels has earned the right to be #1 going into spring ball. We can't afford to lose him with the injury to Mollberg. Until Joe is healthy I think Bartels is clearly the guy.
  15. No loophole, no alumnus, booster, college professor, or others who have a connection to the college in question, are allowed to contact students. That includes former players and coaches. Same thing that got Nanne and Sonmor in trouble when they contacted Pariese. It is clearly a violation. Rule is clear. Former players and Fighting Sioux club members are reminded of this rule annually. The recruit could contact an alumnus but the alumnus can't initiate the contact.
  16. Don't need "nfl size" to be successful in NFL. Jonathan Vilma was 5' 10" in his shoes. No fat I'm him and tough and quick. Multiple time Pro Bowler.
  17. No just 2011bison and his pal the Great Gatsby. GF hockey will challenge them to a comparison of W-2's and then we lock the room.
  18. This comment and rebuttals belong on the UND-NDSU discussion thread. You and I and the Great Gatsby or whoever that guy is who seems to own half of Fargo is, need to move this conversation there.
  19. Ok here we go. Not much chance the trolls or (even our guys) will adhere to keeping the stupid discussions here rather than the other sports blogs but it would be great if those comments could get forwarded here. The Ag school guys with all of the employees and money and time can come here. It will make it easier for poor souls like me who have never accomplished much to come and admire them for all of their deeds and dollars. Anyway , we can redirect the rebuttals here. Merry Christmas and God Bless America.
  20. Agree it doesn't belong on recruiting thread. Sorry.
  21. This conversation doesn't belong on the recruiting blog anyway. It should be a new blog: "Stupid Stuff to discuss for people with nothing better to do".
  22. Well you sure seem to be special. With all of those accomplishments one would wonder why there would be a void in your life that would need to be filled by going on another schools blog and trying to make yourself feel good by criticizing others when they or their teams are struggling. Big deal, so you coach your kids teams. When you start volunteering your time to coach youth teams that don't involve your own kids come back and pound your chest. So you can make money. Big deal. Come back and pound your chest when you give back to help those less fortunate when there is nothing else in it for you other than knowing you did the right thing. Instead of wasting time on another's schools blog ring the bell for The Salvation Army and donate $50,000 to a worthy charity. With all of your success that should be a drop in the bucket for such an entrepreneur. If all of your employees don't have anything better to do, then adopt a local charity or assign them paid time to volunteer at the local schools, local mission, etc. How pathetic that you can be so talented and insanely wealthy, yet take time to brag about the fact that you have prospered in America and take advantage of the opportunities for success. Write a letter to the local newspaper and thank the police, fire dept. veterans, military, city officials, teachers and others that allow us the freedom to succeed. Take your extra time and spend with your family. It will be time better spent than time on someone else's blog.
  23. I thought it was the old guy who took you and your Mom to Perkins and pointed out the clear choice.
  24. Listen Sparky, I'll fill you in on a couple of things. Most importantly we have had, and always will have, an academic advantage that makes a difference with kids who have the idea that obtaining a degree, then getting a job is an important consideration. You are the perfect example. A "2011 BisonAlumni" ( some might say alumnus) who graduated in 2011 and who still has enough time to converse on a blog of what is supposed to be an irrelevant college team, either doesn't have a job yet, or your job is such that it is irrelevant to your employer. The Ag school has done a good job lately but you should rest easy at night knowing that you have had nothing to do with that success. Because of that sad fact you seem to improve your lot in life by trying to make someone else feel badly about themselves or their teams. Sparky, that is a sad reflection on what your degree has done for you or to you. I would expect a 2011 UND grad to have been promoted in their job as an accountant, engineer, businessman or woman, pilot, teacher, entrepreneur, nurse, ..... Most get the picture. What happens to your FB team should be fun and a great time to party and see old friends. For you who seem to have nothing better to do with your life, you are missing out if this is what makes you feel good. When we recruit kids we can tell them the fact that UND grads have great success after FB as CEO's, and astronauts, and doctors and lawyers and farmers and teachers who have done great things after attending UND. We can show them your blogs and tell those student athletes they could also go to the AC and maybe blog the rest of their lives.
  25. Doesn't kill us but it helps them.
