Listen Sparky, I'll fill you in on a couple of things. Most importantly we have had, and always will have, an academic advantage that makes a difference with kids who have the idea that obtaining a degree, then getting a job is an important consideration. You are the perfect example. A "2011 BisonAlumni" ( some might say alumnus) who graduated in 2011 and who still has enough time to converse on a blog of what is supposed to be an irrelevant college team, either doesn't have a job yet, or your job is such that it is irrelevant to your employer. The Ag school has done a good job lately but you should rest easy at night knowing that you have had nothing to do with that success. Because of that sad fact you seem to improve your lot in life by trying to make someone else feel badly about themselves or their teams. Sparky, that is a sad reflection on what your degree has done for you or to you. I would expect a 2011 UND grad to have been promoted in their job as an accountant, engineer, businessman or woman, pilot, teacher, entrepreneur, nurse, ..... Most get the picture. What happens to your FB team should be fun and a great time to party and see old friends. For you who seem to have nothing better to do with your life, you are missing out if this is what makes you feel good. When we recruit kids we can tell them the fact that UND grads have great success after FB as CEO's, and astronauts, and doctors and lawyers and farmers and teachers who have done great things after attending UND. We can show them your blogs and tell those student athletes they could also go to the AC and maybe blog the rest of their lives.

Doesn't kill us but it helps them.

Not sure what that means. Friday night was great comeback against a team that isn't very good but was up 4-1. We were hustling and playing hard but had given up some goals we shouldn't have. Sat night we controlled game, Zane gave up a cupcake and we came away with a sweep. Student fans didn't show and didn't participate after the usual embarrassing " who's he he sucks sh.." crap. It was a great weekend to be a Sioux fan. When I see a post right after the game that says nothing but points out the obvious (Denver is a lot better than LSS), I wonder what your mindset is. Hakstol isn't selling any thing. It seems some people think any team that isn't BC, Denver, or the gophers aren't capable of playing hockey. That kind of thinking can get you beat.

Non surgical fracture: usually predict 6 weeks to heal. High ankle sprain if properly taken care of and rehabbed should not be 6 weeks as rule of thumb. With all due respects to "Dr. Hennessy", the fact that he was still in our locker room, doesn't mean much. Last time I was there, I understood we have X-ray capabilities on site. The way he reacted on the ice made me think he broke his ankle or leg. Hopefully only sprained, high or low.

We need to play better than we did against the AC. Should pack the Betty. No excuse that we aren't winning like we use for FB. Hopefully we can get some outside shooting at home. Nice win last night holding off the bison rally. Their LeMar kid was awfully good.

Arrogant,condescending jerk. Surprised kids at NDSU don't demand the $81,000 per year isn't turned into scholarships. This is one of the reasons some of the taxpayers want to take control of Higher Ed away from the SBoHE. I wouldn't trust this guy to haul out my garbage. I wonder if his gopher does that for him or he has another person hired to do that. If he can't drive he probably can't haul out his own garbage.

I get your point but I think they have better support when their success is similar to ours year in and year out. We have way to many "fair weather fans". If we as fans want better recruiting we need to support our teams as they build the programs. It creates a better atmosphere for our recruits. Better recruits are more important than fans but more fans can make a difference. We can choose to blog or we can choose to attend the games and write checks and be part of creating successful programs and creating a culture of success. It will make it more likely we will see the results a lot of people seem to be demanding.

Got it. I hadn't seen any polls since the WCHA polls they used to do have in the post season WCHA tourney programs. I never saw any team except UND get picked for best logo. UND wasn't always picked as toughest place to play but was a number of years.

Montana has much better fan support.

Cuz they got beat in the last game they played each year.

What is your source for that tidbit?

As of 3 years ago the Cowboys, 2 years ago the Eagles, and last year the Steelers workouts were same regardless of position. Eagles were discussing changes. Don't know what happened since that time. The value of stretching for prevention of injuries, especially muscle strains or tears has been questioned over the past couple of years and some so called experts have questioned whether or not it has any value. Approximately 60% of ACL tears are non contact injuries. Mollberg's ruptured Achilles was a non contact injury. Don't know about Beck the LB from the Ag School. They have also had a number of injuries the last couple of years yet some bloggers claim they have a far superior conditioning program. They have a good one and so do we. I wouldn't put much stock in the complainers. It is always easy to call for someone to be canned and we don't even need to know what we are talking about. What my 8th grade FB coach professed as to how things should be done isn't always how it should be done nor always the only way to accomplish our goals.

Red Sox are loaded with young pitching talent and have a number of young position players in the farm system including a couple of catchers. They will need to decide how much young talent they will give up to get veteran pitching. They also need to figure how many if any of the young arms are ready for the majors.

I guess I will put it in terms even gfhockey will understand. There is a greater chance he will quit drinking before Mollberg transfers. Glad I wasn't at Judy's when someone spouted that nonsense. The kid came here with the idea he wanted to be part of turning this program around. He will still do that if he can heal from his surgery. He hung in there along with Bartels taking some pretty good shots and never threw his linemen under the bus. Bartels did the same til he got hurt. These guys have enough to worry about than the drivel from people who can't hold their liquor without making fools of themselves.

Correct. Not sure how anyone looks at a kid who didn't complete 50% of his passes and states he is the front runner. Bartels has shown he is a much more effective QB when he is healthy. One blogger commented Mollberg won't be back by fall?? Not sure where they got that but if they meant he likely won't be back this spring they are correct. Rehab is 4-6 months not years. I think Bartels comes out as front runner after spring ball.

How do we solve the title IX issue? We lose money on a lot of things. We need women's sports cuz it's the right thing to do. Women's sports aren't preventing us from being successful in other sports. We need to work harder and we need to develop a strong group of alumni who are going to help our women's sports develop and grow. We have a lot of successful women alumni both athletes and fans. Don't need to cut anything, need to step up fundraising if we are short in other sports.

Would have been nice had Mollberg and Bartels had someone last year to learn from. I think Mollberg and Bartels are capable with a supporting cast, and continued success running the fb. I think jury is out as to whether either can carry the team, but I think both can be very good when given capable receivers and time to throw. I agree Studsrud will need to develop. I don't see him ahead of either of these guys when both are healthy. Would be nice if we can get a redshirt year from him next year.

Good Lord that's not a shot, I'm just pointing out you don't see what I see. Doesn't mean I'm right and you are wrong. What matters is what Bubba sees. I think we agree on one thing, we want what is best for Sioux fb. I did stick up for Joe and also Bartels and Studsrud cuz the team aspect of this game is so important to their individual success and the success of this program. I'm not going to be upset if someone else is a better QB than Mollberg and starts ahead of Joe. I think if they are they will be pretty good. I'm just a guy on a blog and no more a fb mind than you or anyone else. I sure as he'll couldn't coach anymore. At the end of the day, we got better as the season progressed. When you take into account the injuries and late start recruiting with defections, dismissals and lack of depth, this is a program on the rise. Go Sioux and happy Thanksgiving.
