The games will happen one day in natural course. I can understand the average Bison fan being miffed by the government getting involved. I'll bet there would be a lot of Sioux fans who would be upset if the Bison decided to field a hockey team and the legislature mandated that the Sioux play the Bison. Government on all levels should do what they were elected to do, govern. I don't see where mandating certain teams play each other is why you were elected. I hope this bill dies.

Mary was down 20 against Duluth early in the second half last night and won in OT 80-77. Duluth is the top team in the NSIC. I"m not saying UND should strive to be like a top D II team, I'm just saying that Mary is a very capable team. I agree with Sica, the Sioux will never have the manpower to be a top DI team, but they could make some noise with fundamentally sound players in a disciplined offense such as the Princeton style. A good fundamentals coach is required. Is Jones that coach? That is to be determined.

Knowing what we know, don't these two thing seem to be contradictory? If it is a committee to retain the name, how are you expecting to get representation from those oppose it. This is a bunch of crap. Drop the name (you know they will eventually) and move on. The longer you take the worse UND looks in the matter.
