Well at least Saul Phillips confirmed on the 6 o'clock news that the teams will be playing and that they expect to have the contract signed early next week. A Who/Bison game at the Ralph in 2 years could be quite the draw.

This game of cat and mouse is getting really old. There is absolutely no reason that the softball, baseball, soccer, volleyball and even basketball teams shouldn't be all be playing each other again and on a yearly basis. Maybe Faison shouldn't mention games until contracts are signed and maybe Taylor should just reply "That is what we are working towards but we are still working out the details."

I just glanced through our last media guide and didn't see any mention of Alabam on our all time record list. I could have missed it but I'm not seeing it.

This could possibly be one of the worst games ever involving a BCS program. No amount of head scratching can even begin to help anyone figure out how this game is even being allowed. A first year football program (we're not talking a first year FCS program transitioning from DII, we are talking their first year of football period) against a National Championship program. Even if Alabama is undefeated this year, they better be left out of the BCS Championship game just for scheduling this. I just don't get it.

And how many hours a week do people spend in their vehicles whether it be for business, pleasure, family reasons, etc.? Alot. And how many businesses have radios playing in the background for their employees and customers to listen to? Alot. And when the teams are playing road games and there is no TV coverage, how many Sioux fans tune in to listen on the radio? Alot. Please go away.

And may I ask where you received this inside information? Just because Amy Ruley jumped ship when the going got tough doesn't mean Roebuck isn't up for a challenge. I believe that the heir apparent is in place for Roebuck. I just find it strange that a Bison fan already knows the exact timeline. It is amazing how Bison fans have mastered the art of stating opinion as fact.

The nickname has been an issue on campus for ~50 years. While everyone is upset about the outcome of this, it is hard to put the blame for this on the basketball team. We have had decades of administrations that have not properly handled this situation. We have a SBoHE that did not put the proper effort into working with the tribes to keep the name. We have a tribal councle that was unwilling to let its members voice their oppinion. There is plenty of blame to go around. But the basketball team really isn't the place to begin looking.

Great comments GeauxSioux. And yes, it was randomly. haha. I actually just googled Rough Riders and it popped up under the images. I have to throw my vote towards Rough Riders. It is not a generic animal, it has a great ring to it. A strong and proud looking logo could be designed (the new logo could actually keep a similar profile to the one we currently have). And it has such a great connection to the state.
