Sioux fans will be treated to top-notch competition in '10-11 It's not a complete release of the schedules but it has the dates for the home games. So far we know: Nov. 12 Waldorf College Nov. 16 @ Wisconsin Nov. 19 Sac State Nov. 23 IPFW Dec. 3, 4 and 5 @ Idaho, Monmouth and Eastern Michigan Dec. 11 @ NDSU Dec. 14 Mayville State Dec. 30 SD Mines Jan. 13 Minot State* Jan. 15 South Dakota* Jan. 20 Utah Valley* Jan. 27 UT-Pan American* Jan. 29 Houston Baptist* Feb. 26 NJIT* Feb. 28 Chicago State* * double header Montana @ Nebraska @ Northern Iowa @ Northern Colorado @ Chicago State @ NJIT @ HBU @ UTPA @ UVU @ USD The article says they have 12 of 13 home games scheduled so I am assuming that the 13th home game is the Montana game that bin referenced.

Women's Frozen Four to UMD, Minny 2012 in Duluth 2013 in Minneapolis I am guessing we will have to show that we can draw more than 300 people to one of our own games before they let us host the NC game.

The #1 overall seed Arizona State went 0-2 to be eliminated from the CWS on Tuesday. Last night TCU had an amazing rally scoring 8 in the 8th inning to eliminate Florida State. The 8 runs scored included a 2-strike, 2 out grand slam.

I haven't heard a peep from anyone. I haven't heard if there was even the slightest bit of discussion about our application or not.

The first team was sent home yesterday when Florida State defeated rival Florida. There is another elimination game this afternoon as Arizona State takes on South Carolina.

2010 College World Series Bracket Double Elimination Brackets Bracket 1: TCU, FSU, UF, UCLA Bracket 2: OU, SCSU, AzSU, Clemson This is the last year that the CWS will be played at historic Rosenblatt Stadium. Omaha is building a brand new stadium that will become the new home of the CWS. Even though I played baseball growing up, I'm not the world's biggest baseball fan. But when it comes to college sports I will watch anything. Anyone here big baseball fans?

This is the first question I had. Why would the MWC add BSU before knowing what was going to play out with the Big 12. If there is any chance at all that the MWC could pick up a few leftover schools from a disbanded Big 12 you would think they would hold out before making any other decisions. Is the Big 12 already looking to steal a few MWC schools to keep the Big 12 alive and the MWC knows this and is being preemptive?

Montana schools contemplate transition to Football Bowl Subdivision This is a pretty good article that looks at UM and MSU and a possible move to FBS.
-
As teams get knocked out of the playoffs there are always tickets available on e-bay, uscho, stubhub, etc. from their fans. But if you don't want to worry about waiting until that close to the frozen 4 I would just shoot for the lottery and see if you can pick some up right away.

With the nickname likely having very little time left people may want to head on over to the FightingSioux.com Auction and pick up some authentic Sioux memorabilia and a piece of Fighting Sioux history. There is only a week left in the auction and many of the items have very small bids or NO BIDS at all yet. Plus, all of the money raised goes to support scholarships for our student athletes.
-
Only 1 week left on most of the items. Be sure to check everything out and place a bid! There are still plenty of items that don't have any bids at all yet. With the nickname likely gone this is a great opportunity to pick up some authentic Sioux merchandise that likely won't be offered again!

Time changes made to 2010 schedule Saturday, Sept. 18 vs. Northeastern State (Potato Bowl) 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25vs. Northwestern State 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 vs. Southern Utah (Homecoming) 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 vs. Lamar (Hall of Fame) Noon Saturday, Nov. 6 vs. UC Davis Noon The first three games are still at 4. But the last two games have been moved up to Noon. I wonder what the reasoning behind that was? Flight schedules of the other teams?

Don't forget to take in the full day of festivities tomorrow. It should be interesting to see what Coach Mussman has to say at the Fighting Sioux Club pregame party at Playmakers. If you can't make it, the game will be shown on SiouXtra for free. But if you wish to sign up for an annual subscription, they are giving a 20% discount for annual subscriptions as a special during the spring game.
