Tom Miller on Twitter says we could rush for 500 yards and lose. Yes, but I will take the positive side of that. Freshman OLiners are holding their own.
But we are now 3 and 4 deep on the depth chart. How many coaches could foresee that? Plus Harris and Reyes are virtually irreplaceable, they thought they had good depth at LB before Connor went down and the others and frankly, the depth at OLine is looking good today.
I've long thought that losing Randolph was huge too, but imagine Harris taking care of Doss. Who do they go to? We have Reyes back there too and Randolph but NOT Blubaugh, Rastas and the other RS's.
And I hate what I'm seeing here too, but lets get off the ledge here people. Calling for the whole staff to go is nuts. With the young OLine we are running all over these guys.
DLine needs to get to the QB who hasn't been touched yet.
But all these guys will have been with the program for a year and ostensibly bigger and smarter. BIG difference in a year. They should not even be dressing yet.
On D, Blubaugh, Stewart, Rastas ALL should be RS's and NOT playing college football. That's not an excuse, that's truth. Now they are getting tons of minutes and they are not ready for it.
But I think these kids are playing hard, they simply are too small and dumb to know how to play. Blubaugh in a year will make that stop. Rastas is playing hard, but will best be known for allowing 200 pound QB's run over him. I think they are playing hard but they are NOT GOOD.
And momentum is important. We start ahead and like the other poster noted, the really bogus call on Tank doesn't occur, and maybe they get a bit desperate, play calling changes etc.
