In light of the SU ability to grab lots of MN players, it seems it hurts them the most. UND has made forays into the Cities but for the last 5-6 years, SU has done the better job of nabbing the guys we can expect Fleck to get.

Totally understand, but it was the first game of the year, with a different QB than the guy who was undefeated since taking over. I just think, even if you disregard USC, that an 8 team playoff is better and would allow for a "hot" team to make a move during the playoffs. No one has EVER argued that BCS playoffs should be reduced. They play the same game with college students and it's a great thing for all those schools.

The Polls aren't the method or at least not entirely. The committee would have picked them. I think. At least it's not stupid polls with teams playing in random bowl games that decides it now. At least there's a 4 team playoff, but if FCS can have great week of football playoffs, it's not asking too much for the top conferences/teams to do the same.

Other than UND, USC is my favorite team. I wish there was an 8 team playoff as NO team is hotter than they have been the last 2 months.

Their QB had harsh words for the Administration for moving them down to FCS. Wonder how it will affect recruiting. Less money is a factor.

True...be nice if our D oriented team did that more often, too. Not being critical, but the fact these burners are going D is somewhat confusing. I like the WR's we have but all are possession type receivers and do not get open downfield enough. IF a team, had to defend the RB's we have while also having to worry about the long ball down field, this O would be unstoppable. NO safety could ever play within 15 yards of the line of scrimmage.

I agree with all that, but in light of the fact that one thing this team seemed to lack (especially after Clives injury) is a burner to open the field. Maybe I'm wrong in my analysis of some of them, but these new D guys look like they could be that type of WR.

Gibson's HUDL is WR and there was another WR that just signed as a CB. I'm not smart enough to figure out how a WR becomes a S or CB, but the speed of the last couple guys sure would look good on O.

Love that SU was upset the NCAA took away their video for a playoff game. Meanwhile at UND, we were upset the NCAA took away our beer for a playoff game. Different type of fan I guess.
