  1. Loved his tape too. Just curious-saw his tweet a couple days ago re: his first DI offer and now he commits. No one at DI offered him and he didn't feel like waiting I guess, but unless the staff overwhelmed him and he just knew he wanted to play here, is there a concern that no other school wanted to make an offer?

I think I've said this before, but Smith's HUDL video was THE ONE I recall most from last year. He did everything, O, D and special teams. Great athlete. He could be special I think.

I started a "Next year" thread where some of this is already being discussed. Just wondering if it can be merged into that? How? Thought it doesn't matter much to me.
  4. I saw that too. It wasn't a vicious hit but a really hard one and I don't believe the receiver was defenseless.
  5. Some of his blocks were just nasty. Nice hits out of the S position too.

    Lennon

That's a good point about his record. He has the D2 Title and will always be considered the greatest here... Until Bubba brings home a title!

Good analysis for next season. Re: the O Line, I wonder what Camy and Rooney can do next year. Rooney's HUDL video last year is one that I remember.

You don't think the Head Coach, a former DC, isn't highly influential in the DC's schemes?

    2016 Season

I'm curious about this and don't have any time to review it, but... How many college teams get to go through the full season without losing the starting QB to at least one game?

I looked at BG's roster. They have a WR named Lewis they are touting for the Bilentikoff Award and he's a Junior. But starting QB and leading Rusher are Sr's.

We know our roster, but does anyone have a grasp as to which conference teams will also be good next year? The playoff teams have much coming back?

Would Mollberg switch positions at this stage of his college career? I understand he was a great athlete in HS. If Jake Hanson can go from QB to LB, he could move too. Btw, Jake was listed behind Ratelle on the depth chart the last couple of weeks. Kudos to him for gutting it out and being a great teammate.

Still haven't heard much about Donnell Rodgers. Love the name as he sounds like the type of guy who could be the on the edge pass rusher we really don't have.

So you think Mollberg and Bartles are even around next year? Heidelbaugh? What about Donnell Rodgers and Steve Greer? Redshirts? Still with us?

    2016 Season

Thanks for this. I like to know which of the guys we already have could be impactful next year. In a different post someone mentioned Gordon as a RB. Is that right? Love Demon's name for an OL.

    2016 Season

Thanks for the Depth Chart shot. I'm guessing Tank at NG; Camy or Rooney will be involved in the OL in my opinion just based on what I saw in their HUDL videos last year. I have a feeling Smith spends time at WR too.

    2016 Season

So looking ahead, we lose one of the greatest LB's in school history who will be all but impossible to replace (at least with one guy) and the O-Line takes a hit with Meehan, Anderson and Boas all gone, but otherwise this team is built on Sophs and Freshmen. Anyone wanna take a shot at a depth chart for next season? Which Redshirts do you think will step up next year? Obviously we could see some Freshmen play too, but I'm curious about the guys on the roster now.
  18. THIS!! One negative of the boards is the excuses people come up with as though the whole world is against UND. I can't even go to a hockey game night thread without reading about how the refs are out to get us. Maybe we do "deserve" it more than a team or two, but we had the games in our hand and we blew them. This should be the BEST thing to happen to this team. Their should be a chip (as another poster noted) that causes them to use this pain for the next several months in the weight room or wherever they develop skills. This should show recruits they can become part of a team on the upswing that will be in the race next year. This can be a good thing.
  19. That's my concern-that the committee will look at it through that prism of which CONFERENCE deserves X number of teams. I disagree with your flat statement that UND does not go 5-3 in the MVFC. It would depend on who we played in the conference. Iowa is undefeated in the Big Ten. Iowa did not have to play Michigan, Michigan St and OSU.
  20. Naturally, I hope our guys make it. They are playing their best football of the year and I hope that counts for something. I am wondering if the conference is nationally viewed positively enough to warrant 4 teams. That is a big issue I think. But, I also like to "follow the money" and if UND really has tossed a hefty bid out there, that should impress the committee. Whatever the result, the truth is this team needed to hold a 4th quarter lead in one of two games and it would be out of the committee's hands. That said, Bubba Ball is working and IF this staff has another recruiting class as good as this one appears to be, the program is going to contend for titles. And not just Big Sky titles!
  21. For those new to the thread the playoff show is 10:00 on ESPN
