I'm curious if they CAN show the replay being reviewed as I don't think they ever have.

I appreciate your passion for this topic, but I don't know that there's much we on this message board can do assuming most of us have tix and attend games. I would love to see more there, but having reflected on yesterday's comeback, I was thrilled with the noise in the Alerus yesterday in the 4th quarter. Maybe the fans we have are passionate enough to make up for a couple of thousand who weren't there.

If you like watching a kid do some smashmouth blocking as a FB, check out Tyler Zirpoli's Hudl video. He was on campus for yesterday's game.

Ya, west side ref was not in game mode today. I did not see the beer shower when Harris ran it in as I was scanning the field for a flag, so concerned was I that it was going to be called back like other big plays. Btw, a friend sat with us on our side of the field (AA on visitor's side). He had tix a couple weeks ago on the other side and actually tweeted that the sound was way too loud on that side. So it's only on UND's side I guess.

Btw, I thought we had a couple of chances at blocking punts today. Got close a couple of times.

Most thrilling game I've seen in a long time. Bad officiating (including a kind no push call on us at the end) but 2 great teams going hard at it from start to finish.n But what's the issue with opening drives for the D? By my count it's the 3rd straight game the opposition scored (rather methodically) on the opening drive. Otherwise, they just gutted it out; I have been a critic of Studs but today he was a man, a leader, a championship QB. Any idea if Rich could make it back for playoffs?

Many have said that certain media entities need to plug the game, but how much do people, who may go to a football game, really need the media to pump them up for it? Either you are aware of the fine work the team has done, because you've been following them or you aren't aware of it. If a person hasn't been following the team, do you think they will have an epiphany this week and think, "Gotta go to that one."? The historical attendance tracking that was published earlier indicates that even in the "glory" years this was not a 10,000 person crowd for this game. Thus, I'm not getting too upset if people don't show. Winning a conference and then a playoff game will help boost attendance next year though. I have season tix this year and will for a long time.

It was, but I saw something on Saturday or Sunday too. I follow lots of UND twitter accounts, but not sure where I saw it.

I saw something on Twitter about a green out.

I don't get it. And therefore, I'm not offended by it, but I'm in my 50's and often do trial work so my ability to be offended was lost years ago.
-
I If that were true, then why not just can him for the rest of season. It would appease the folks who want that and allegedly send a message to the team.

Yeah, he's been a warrior and our best OL man in my opinion. Hope it's not a broken bone though he could pull off the Bob Kuechenberg v Vikings Super Bowl where he wore a cast the whole game.

I worry about all recruits until they are on campus, but especially about Ott. He has GREAT reasons to come to UND, and I hope he doesn't change his mind.

The actual statement of probable cause (the reason he was arrested) should be filed with the court tomorrow. It will show the officers' version of what happened, though most of the time, a newspaper tries to quote that. Yes, let Bubba decide-fans in a forum don't get to.

Any O-Line injury updates? Or other position updates? Rich, Stanley?

I was noting that those posts talked of noise and then another post says we need to engage the students with basically noise. I'm in 215, I'm old and cranky and yet, I have not had any noise issues.

Playoffs? Talking about playoffs?
-
So we just had a series of "the Alerus PA is too loud" posts and now we have the critique that the Alerus does not do a good enough job engaging the crowd via music, participation. Is this a generational issue?

I was a loyal fan for the late 90's early 2000's when UND was a DII contender. Did the tailgating and every home game, though never had season tix. This year, I, and 3 others, bought season tix which are incredibly cheap. It's happening, UND football is growing, but for the college kid who only knows UND as a successful hockey school, it's going to take a bit more time. Making the playoffs and hopefully a W or two will do wonders for the program.

Well...IF the opposition has to put their best guy on Clive AND possibly even double team him, that leaves a lesser guy on Toivonen or Wanzek whom they may be able to out maneuver. And IF they are concerned at all about Clive, then they can not stack the box like they've done which should open up the running game. I'd like to see more Gordon in the back field, with Santiago wide out.

Heidlebaugh. I'm not so sure it makes much difference as the last 2 games we haven't really had good QB play anyway, and we still win.

First, Big Game, I had the EXACT same thoughts about just kicking it OB. As for play calling, I was able to say aloud what the play would be to the extent I won lunch on a bet with a friend. BUT, I agree that the play calling is in line with the personnel. We talk about diminished WR's but what about the OLine?. Seems every third play Stockwell is dinged but to his credit guts it out, but I wonder about his leg(s). What are we on re: backups on the line? If the opposition is going with 9 in the box, it's tough to get the running game going especially with a banged up OLine. Last thing-although he did not make the catch he should have made in the 4th, Cloyd looks like a monster. Can't wait till he develops more FB IQ.

I don't have a problem with the sound system. I sit in 215 which is on the visitor's side. I don't find it that bad at all. And I'm old.
