  1. Sheyenne beat North 5-3 with an empty net goal at the end. Davies over Shanley in OT Minot over Century in a wild west shootout. Williston over Hazen. Bismarck High over Mayport. Dickinson leads Bottineau late.
  2. 2026 schedule.... Long Island....that's a win. St. Thomas.....win. At Portland State.....win. At Nebraska.....no more Pat Maholms Jr. At QB.... Northern Iowa.....win. At ISU Blue.....win. South Dakota.....win. At SDSU.....loss. At SIU....win Murray......win At Youngstown.....Beau will be tough at his place. NDSU....I'll call this a win at home. Way too early record projects out to be in the 9-3 ballpark. They should be 3-0 heading into Nebraska, can't falter at Portland State....that team was awful this year, but a new coach this year.
  3. Canada beat Sweden in pre tournament play 2-1 in Kitchener. They have another one with the Swedes, and then they open the tournament with Czechia at Mariucci. The USA opens against the Germans next Friday at the G spot. Game time, 5pm.
  4. Current EDC power rankings: 1. Central 2. Red River 3. Davies 4. Devils Lake 5. Sheyenne 6. WF 7. North 8. Shanley 9. GPR 10. Mayport Next two for Devils Lake are Red River at home and at Davies before the break.
  5. Devils Lake with another win. 3-2 over WFHS. Lot of people wondered about their goaltending after Forsberg, but the new kid has been good for them. RR scored 5 in the first, and beat Davies. Central big over North. Minot over Dickinson Mandan over Bismarck High. Haven't seen a score from Grafton or Williston. *Shanley over GPR 4-3
  6. Its important that they find a way to finish fourth in the NFC North, which is likely at this point. Getting the likes of a New Orleans, and a Vegas on the schedule with some other teams in that #4 slot is big for next season.
  7. We are totally doing the thing where we are out of the playoffs but beating bad teams because why would we want a better pick?
  8. OTOH? I may have to ask my kids on that. Pucks to the head, still figuring out how the cool kids talk.
  9. I thought Laurilla was really good this weekend, and will only get more time as the year goes on. Saturday could've been sketchy defensively with two regulars out and Zmolek not 100%. It was at times, but the every eligible d man unit got the job done.
  10. You of all people would overlook Mercyhurst....
  11. With that Huskie win UND wraps up the 2025 Virg Foss award for early season excellence.
  12. Okay, now where is 71...
  13. We just had a prevent power play....
  14. Ope....there is a penalty on the Mavs. 5:03 left in this one.
  15. With how he's going I think Zellers has a great chance to make the WJC. Definitely found another gear.
  16. Hey young hockey players, puck on your stick with under 10 seconds left in the period you probably don't sauce one up the middle.....
  17. Now Jubenville gets an interference, with a misconduct to go along with it.
  18. I can't believe that wasn't a major..
  19. Zmolek may get a 5 here.
  20. See if the flood gates open now.
  21. Getting out of that period 0-0 is a win. Gibby has done his job, sometimes better lucky than good. I think UND found their game a bit offensively at the end.
  22. It's inevitable week in and week out that you'll see a call(s) or a review that just makes you spill your coffee. Its about as inconsistent as a little league strike zone. If I'm a MVFC or any team for that matter I wouldn't play a non conference game at a Big Sky school with those bufoons with whistles.
  23. Been a while since we've seen Gibby. Rally cry win one for the Gibster. I would've went with Spunar, but I also spend weekends at mite practices and dance recitals.
  24. Hopefully a rally point for the boys is the end of game tussle. Can't have a Saturday let down where Spunar saves their bacon. Set the tone, get ahead, and be able to play a lot of kids late. There is nothing between now and Mercyhurst. End the first half the right way.
  25. Stu will have him in the lineup tonight, but 71 is fair game. Credit to Klee for stepping in right away and taking him down. I think the NCHC missed an opportunity to make an example out of a guy responsible for starting a mele.
