I was talking to Carter Krier who does a lot of work over the summer with local goaltenders in the metro and he made it seem that unless its public knowledge (Penn State 750K) that what we think kids get in NIL is a lot less than it actually is.

With Herter and that d-core I've got Western in the top four. I thought Soller was coming in next year, but he must only be a junior school wise turning 18 in August. I think its a toss up between UND-Denver-Duluth, but I'll never sleep on Fersch and what he's able to get out of his teams. Will see if Hicks is able to be Matty Davis 2.0 and build on one remarkable season after another. Way too early opinion on life in the NCHC next year. 1. UND-Green Glasses. Finally got a Norwegian on the team. Last time we had one of those we made the regional in Fargo. 2. Duluth-Plante(s) and company. Can Sandy win a league regular season championship? SCSU-See how the new regime under Nick Oliver starts off. Some fresh faces into the fold as well. 8. CC-Latvian kid is the leading returning scorer on a team that had 259 points collectively. For reference UND, Denver, and Western were around 400 each. Only Omaha had less. 9. ASU-Complete roster rebuild..... 10. Omaha-Life after Simon. Jubenville could end up on the top pair. Seriously. You can tell I, along with David Carle, put a lot of stock in goaltending.

I've enjoyed them getting away from Rocco ball. Stagnant baseball, and the only aggressiveness we saw was getting pitchers out of the game as early as possible. Watching them just peck away at teams and make some pretty good pitchers look average has been refreshing.

Completely agree. He's a lot like Jackson Blake where they aren't play in your end and ride out a 3-2 lead guys while abandoning the forecheck. I thought he was Michigan's best player in their game against Denver.

First western Nodak kid to play at UND in 20 plus years. Left Minot right at about Bantam age and went down to Phoenix. I thought he was really good with the Fargo Force in two seasons there. Initially a Miami commit before he took his talents to ASU. Of note, he was only -2 last year on a team that wasn't great with some injuries they encountered.

The Littler one is upsetting as a big kid would've been huge as a bottom 6 grind line guy with a nose for the hard areas.

Only two kind of surprises to me are Klee and Strathman as both would of had roles and played a good amount of minutes this next season. Wonder if Engel will now take his game to a D3 as initially anticipated.

I think the goaltending goes back further than that too. 2004: Adam Berkhoel ends Dean Blais and Parise's stints at UND with a 1-0 shutout, and then he's the MOP of the Frozen four with another 1-0 shutout of Maine. 2005: Peter Mannino takes his turn as Frozen four MOP with a brilliant title game performance over UND. 2017: Tanner Jailletts turn to shine as Denver gets outshot by Duluth and he makes 38 saves in a 3-2 win. 2022: Magnus Chrona great in net as Denver gets outshot by Mankato yet hangs around....goes off in the 3rd. Crazy to note that they have been outshot in all their national championship games this century. Four of the six MOP of the Frozen Four have been goaltenders, and it should've been Jaillet in 2017. All credit in the world to them, but thats unheard of goaltending. Then you look at what these guys do in their post college hockey stints and they never find that lightning in a bottle again.
