I mean this speaks to the state of FCS football. ISU will make it somewhat of a game, what would SE Louisiana do tomorrow in Fargo. I think its on the NCAA to combine the FCS and G4 or whatever its called. Make the P5 only compete amongst themselves and have a championship in some form for the FCS/G teams with bowl eligibility included if they need fillers. One man's take on it.

WF beats Grafton 7-1. Central beats Davies in OT. Sheyenne up 2 goals with about 7 minutes left over RR. Minot up 3-1 in the 3rd.

Wilbur's current EDC Power rankings. 1. Central-Not rolling quite yet, but will get there. 2. RR-Ulmer and Haagenson are a lot to handle. 3. Davies-Lost to Sheyenne, but they've got some good young forwards. 4. Sheyenne-Having Fitzpatrick in the net gives them a punchers chance in any game. He was the difference against Davies. 5. North-Dropped one to GPR, but I'll put them here after a 3-1 start. 6. WFHS-Still figuring out life post Mattern. Big game with the Spoilers tomorrow. 7. Devils Lake-Figuring out life post Forsberg. Gave Central a good game at home. Love how Stromme plays. 8. Shanley-Kind of where I thought they'd be to start. Getting used to a new coach too. Tough loss to Mandan last night. 9. I mean all Brungard did was lead his team in passing and rushing and put up nearly 4,700 yards of total offense this season. Payton a very respectful 3,400 yards of total offense, and very much agree that most years he is the guy.

He's pretty hurt that Payton didn't get offensive POY. Yet please remember Payton's performance at the Alerus against what he believed was a non playoff team.

Glad that SCSU is getting some much needed improvements. One year UND was there there was a power outage before the game and the game barely happened because of soft ice. Before then the school wouldn't buy a generator for the facility as it wasn't in the budget. The NCHC called soon after and the Herb got its generator!
