Nice to see us start skating again. Building some shifts.
-
They had the puck that whole 4x4 with one shot to show for it.
-
Need to get out of this lull. Got to put some shifts together here.
-
Looks like WFHS and Devils Lake moving on from play ins. DL wins 2-1, WFHS up late 4-1.
-
Someone already said it, but listened to TH tonight on the way to school activity and he sounded sick. Mike Lamoine did his best to try and help him through but you can tell Tim is hurting. Nowhere near normal energy.
-
Agree to disagree. Not in the shooting lane where you'd love the weakside wing to be defensively.
-
EDC quarters you have 3 games that should be really good. DL should beat Mayport, and GPR and WFHS is a toss up with GPR playing better of late. I think RR, Central for sure, then likely Davies, but after that it's a crap shoot with DL, North, Sheyenne.

I thought the Mrs. wore that.

Do you have any indication of whether he will be wearing his vintage signed Toews jersey, or is that too much info to pass along before he's back in the 701?
-
EDC: Play in Saturday: Mayport at Devils Lake. WFHS at Grafton. Quarters Tuesday: GFC vs. WFHS/Grafton. Sheyenne vs. Shanley. Davies vs. North. Red River vs. Devils Lake/Mayport. Best time of the year.

NHL All Star game like with goalie getting hung out to dry.

The SCSU TV play by play guy, Jim Erickson, is a gem in my book. Does a fantastic job at the Minnesota High School state tournament, and gets a bad rap because whichever Parrish is doing the color commentary next to him just makes a clown show of it all. Much better than Jim Rich was who I really liked years ago when he was doing the show College Hockey USA on the old Midwest Sports Channel. People could learn a lot from Alex Heinert. Same amount of charisma calling goals for or against UND. And when there is that questionable hit that he maybe disagrees with, he takes the high road, and does his best to compliment what is a very difficult sport to officiate.

EDC is down to the last game. North vs. Shanley. Loser in regulation gets Davies, winner gets Sheyenne. If the game goes to OT North gets the 5th seed.

Checks for latest NFL news..... And gone....

I can't speak for Grand Forks, but Fargo-West Fargo is a battle royale. Like the day new possible locations open up or contracts expire there are lines at the door if you've got your paperwork in order. I'm the last one to know the legalities of how it all works. Like its been said before, its a whole new world in collegiate athletics.

Hawks Nest 501 c, make it happen! Or Sioux Crew. May be trademarked.

This ^^^^^^^ Well known by those in the know in Fargo that NDSU or maybe I should say Teammakers has tried to pull the rug under nonprofits in order to get gaming sites. Charitable gaming is a dog eat dog world. Like you mentioned, intended for nonprofit outfits, and thats not always the way things work out.

Gotta have a filter when you are the voice for any college level operation. Your takes also can't blindly contradict what 99% of people saw with their eyes as well. At some point you'd think the Sports Information Director for UMD athletics would tell him to get away from keyboard warrior moments during games.

Love DJ to death, probably my favorite guy on the team. Watch at the 3:11 mark of the video. Can agree to disagree, but gotta at least have your stick on the ice in the lane and he even kind of shied away from blocking it. Like I said, made up for it later when it counted. Edit* He did have his stick there, but I'm greedy and would like more in the way of the puck to the net.
-
Championship mentality. The goal that UND gave up on Saturday night Dylan James was in the area of the shot from the point but if you asked him he probably would tell you he can't let that puck get to the net and do more for his team. He more than made up for it getting the huge 3rd goal, but in tight hockey games in March and April that is the difference.

At long last we return to REA for a series against the born again Red Hawks from Oxford. They just "split" with Western but got two of the possible six points with the win being in OT. Who knew they had 17 wins on the year? Who honestly knows the name of their head coach? I had to look it up, and I couldn't tell you the guy after Blasi either. If we get 12 points the next two weekends we are playing with house money in Kalamazoo. Discuss.....

I'm just happy they are done winning national championships until the end of time. Even if they were quasi D1 national championships. Its on you Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia. Indiana. Don't overlook NDSU on the recruiting trail.

Raises his hand as cheering for Denver over Duluth in that game. That group from Duluth was a bunch of clowns. Ran around running goalies (Pionk) and taking penalties every shift, then yelling at officials when they'd call said penalties. The NCHC championship game that season was Duluth in a nutshell. Everything that is wrong about that program.

Sandy: Wasn't that a major!?!?! Reff: Your guy was barely bodied and threw himself into the wall to draw a major penalty. Sandy: Then why didn't you call it a dive? Reff: Because Bruce Ciskie would've had a stroke in the radio booth, and we'd have to hold up the game. You're welcome for not calling the dive.

I guess its Minnesota, but I can't name more than like 6 guys on their team this year. Ohh look, swept by a football school this weekend. Was fun watching them lose in the Fargo regional to UMASS, but not Holy Cross fun. 1. Minnesota 2. Duluth-Bruce Ciskie and the last name Pionk go a long way here. 3. Denver 4. SCSU-I mean how much longer before they shut the doors to the university though? 5. Omaha-Earned by Stu, and lady that acts like UND shot her dog each time they play.
