You could have two CCHA teams in the tournament if the purple cows beat St. Thomas and no other upsets. That could mean UND-Mankato in Sioux Falls. Hopefully UCONN ends BC's season. Merrimack a punchers chance. They win two games and they could end up in Massachusetts or Albany. It'd be a shame if no Beanpot schools made it. I wouldn't count Clarkson out in the ECAC. They looked good against the Q sweeping Rand in his home rink.

We really need someone to knock out BC. I'd hate for any 1 seed to have to play them out east.
-
I thought Verhoeff was -4. He wasn't good tonight. Way too cute with the puck and sloppy d zone. Good things to point out in the film room. Can't just throw shade there though, collectively a bad night from a lot of guys. Get everyone healthy now, and try and win two games when the NCAAs starts.
-
The right team won the game. The guys can either dwell for a week and a half, or pick themselves up and get ready for the postseason.
-
Lol....first quarter shots....😆
-
The tape won't be kind to Verhoeff. 5-1.
-
Gotta remember that Verhoeff is 18 years old at times....
-
Keep fighting. 3-1.

Showing the 2017 NCHC run the goalie game.....efff....😀
-
So that penalty is equal to getting to spear a guy in the nuts....
-
Shaugabay making Sandy look good by getting his linemate his first point of the season.
-
Good test here. Climb back into the game guys. Got plenty of game left.
-
Lot of game left. Settle down white, and start putting some shifts together.
-
What is spearing then?
-
100% spear on that replay. Why they taking so long?
-
Shaugabay needs a getter and a setter on his line. Arnott has some go, but Bibby has no points in 25 games? I'd just leave him with the Plante's, as he's a defensive liability and the best option for them is Zam centering him. I get trying to spread the wealth, but your best chance is with them together.

Big game Sunday, should be fun to watch. Skenes can throw up to 90 pitches but I'd imagine they keep him around 5 or 6 innings as hes still getting built up. Its likely to be the best lineup he's ever pitched against.
-
If Team USA gets through this here they really need to rethink the lineup for Sunday. Some big names that have done squat and won't do squat Sunday in Miami as well.
-
Clarkson allows 7 shots through 2?
-
I agree here. Only 15 games for Jayden, and likely not to get in again this season unless an injury occurs. I think 9 is one too many on the d core side, but you never know with guys getting hurt. Nice to have a guy like Engel who is an older guy who has played tons of hockey that you can play 20 minutes in exhibitions and spot him if you need during the regular season.
-
Defensively there are potentially 8 guys coming back. Of the 8 the guys, the fence guys IMHO would be Liv, Wiebe, EJ, and Verhoeff. Cant imagine they'd all go, but can't see them all staying. A very good problem to have if the entire core is back, but then Engel probably gone to make room for Lindberg.

So Mr. O'Neill is currently 19 years old. Another one of those examples of the NTDP kids not wanting that extra year in juniors because there is the mindset that "I've played against college and USHL teams for a whole year at U18, I'm ready for college hockey". Right or wrong, a lot of these guys see it as a mark against their NTDP time having to play that extra year in junior hockey.

I mean regardless, Kwesi's drafting cost this team mightily, and you are going to need solid draft classes for the next few years to try and right the ship, all the while not wasting Jefferson's prime years by bringing in band aid free agent fixes. If Kyler wins the job and has one helluva season then they've got QB decision 2.0. Kyler will be 29 when the season starts, and has missed a ton of games with injury, so he'd have to light the world on fire to get a deal. At the same time another desperate team could throw money at Kyler once free agency hits, and desperate teams for QB play make desperate offers at times (Kirk Cousins and the Falcons line one).

2025-26 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
Wilbur replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
St. Thomas.....NPI at 16. Minnesota.....NPI at 39 Clarkson....NPI at 38 Mercyhurst.....NPI at 63 Not great. Reminded me of the 2002-2003 group (Parise freshman year) when you had the likes of Canisius 3 times, Niagara, Princeton, Yale, Brown, Bemidji State. The term cupcake was used a lot that year.
