  1. Not a great period. Get out of it 1-1 and talk about it.
  2. I can get used to this no road announcers thing.
  3. Never have I seen the left wing announced first.
  4. Its Czechia, its Slovakia. Live from Omaha. And now Mavpuck is upset our guys missed the net in warmups and hit the plexi glass.
  5. The coaches have rotated the last two weekends, and I'm thinking we will see more of the same this weekend. I'd go Spunar tonight, but I'm sitting in an office not affiliated with any of the GOBC decision makers. Its also our bi-annual time when the Mavpuck lady shares all the hatred towards UND and 7 year old kids at games standing and cheering for their favorite team. I'll say a split on the road.
  6. Heart says UND 31-28 with a few good bounces the home side's way. Head says UND covers, but not enough to stop Payton from doing what he's done all year.
  7. This right here. When I was at UND (Gasp, the D2 days!) The student demand was ridiculous. On Monday we got in line at Chester Fritz and then a guy walks by and says "they aren't checking ID's at the Ralph ticket office". So we ran over and got more student tickets for our buddies that had class. My brother was in the NDSU marching band, and they got to apologize to the parents that they all promised tickets too if your kid was involved in NDSU athletics as the game was sold out for weeks and UND told NDSU they wouldn't be passing out any more tickets for friends and family.
  8. Its upsetting to see that cost for tickets. Family vacation or I would have considered going to the game, but that isn't a reasonable price for those tickets whatsoever. I know nothing about the state of the cost of NDSU tickets, but can't imagine that would be the cost of UND vs. NDSU at the dome, or even an SDSU vs. NDSU game at the dome. FCS attendance around the country isn't great to begin in, why wouldn't you want more butts in seats for a game like this? I'll hang up and listen.
  9. UND is now almost in playoff mode with last week's loss. Got to win two out of three or what if 2.0. Youngstown showed you can score a bit on NDSU's defense. Game will come down to UNDs defense stopping Payton. He's had himself a great year, getting them off the field will be the key.
  10. I try not to lose it during games as I'm too old to get upset at this stuff, but I lost it there. A gap blast three times with Mason. And if you don't score a TD it doesn't matter, you've taken 1:20 off or they've burned two TO. Instead we need a great play at the end so Detroit doesn't get it back because we are throwing it for whatever reason with a running clock under 4 minutes left.
  11. That defense is so different with Van Ginkel. Redmond with one helluva game too. JJ will make his mistakes, but I think using motion and getting the ball out early will help him develop in the long run. His legs saved them a few times today, which should help with the unpredictable line play. Lamar next week. Another test for the defense.
  12. I can't believe they won today....
  13. Kevin....1st and goal at the 2....just run it three times. Brady said it, they either lose a 1:20 or a few timeouts. I don't get the play calling....ever.
  14. Coming out of the weekend I'm more impressed with the Plante brothers, and less impressed with Shaugabay. When they don't have the puck he's a big time liability. Zam and Max are energizer bunny type players and he just looks like he's gliding. Next year when Victor is at Duluth you may as well have the all Plante line.
  15. Spunar and Homer kind of remind me of Eidsness and Dell, or Thome and Scheel. One guy just all over the place aggressive, the other just cool as the other side of the pillow, calm, confident. Give me the latter.
  16. Littler had my permission to make that an even up roughing penalty.
  17. Four goal lead and they are still pressing for another. I'll take it over sitting back and chipping the puck.
  18. A meaningful night for Strinden. The moment of silence for his father pre game and he has 4 points tonight.
  19. And now Duluth isnt back checking.
  20. Ollie makes it 4-1. Great play by Croal driving to the net taking the d man with him leaving the lane for Ollie. He won't get an assist, but won't be overlooked by the coaches.
  21. And now Duluth to the PP, as Pionk gets tripped up. Gotta be the last Pionk.... When was the last time we had a kid from Hermantown?
  22. Ohh my...they called the point of emphasis interference penalty on a Duluth defenseman that they've been talking about calling for 10 years....
  23. Night and day difference backchecking tonight. Leads to transition opportunities the other way. Had to be addressed in film today.
  24. Wow is Shaugabay soft defensively. Duluth spent that shift in their end in large part due to him.
  25. Pucks on net....no kidding.
