I wouldn't mind seeing UND turn into a puck pressure team. Maybe the new league means more pace to games. And a dive gets called on after Peca falls....(no relation to Michael Peca).

Well after the Texas A&M spring game was on earlier I was figuring the men's baseball team would be up next.

WHAT!!!!!! THEY CUT AWAY FROM THAT ALL IMPORTANT EARLY SEASON SEC MATCHUP? Someone needs to write a letter. Guess LaCrosse is the only sport that keeps tv time.

I'm guessing the eastern votes were split, and the western votes went the way of the guy that seemed like he was at SCSU forever...... Congrats to Mr. LeBlanc, a well deserved honor.

First period killed SCSU. Three chances, three goals. Two teams playing some pretty good hockey. Should be a good championship game. I'll say Yale....3-2.

Saw Hartzell play for Sioux Falls against the Fargo Force at the first ever game at the then Urban Plains Center. (Force won 2-1) Game winning goal was scored by Luke Witkowski (Western Mich, just went pro), and the Force goaltender was SCSU's own Mike Lee. Believe Nate Condon scored a goal in that game too. Hartzell's dad was coaching Sioux Falls then. Thought he was pretty good then.

PS: Wish Gary Thorne was doing the play by play. Him or Doc....

Since I didn't even know there was such thing as a Jared Larson, I'm thinking gopher fans won't be overly concerned with that one. Even with some big losses I still think they win the big ten. Goalie back, have some experienced forwards back, and I think the recruiting class they have coming in is going to contribute right away. Plus they'll have three healthy Reillys. Which is way better than just two healthy Reillys.

Excited to see Keaton Thompson on campus. I think he'll have a tremendous career, and it will be nice to have North Dakota blood back on the team with him/LaDue/Johnson. I would expect to see LaDue and Thompson very involved in the power play. Although once you play for the Sioux you always have North Dakota blood. Or walk to class when its 60 below wind chill.....both will work.

Although I dislike Gwoz one cannot underscore what he did for the university of Denver. Question is antics all you want, question the personality, but the guy made Denver a hockey power in the country, and I'm not going to go out on a limb by saying that Denver probably now finishes on the bottom half of the new league.

According to my dad, everyone played at Sacred Heart.... No, that was a Siembida to Quinnipiac after UND reference, where he lit the world on fire.

Hopefully checking is allowed in the new league. And for the love of God I hope diving is called in the Big Ten....
