Another reason that the Avs are having a tremendous run. I'd have him on the blue line the day after that national championship if I was the Avs.
That is if they have a game that day.
I think Wolanin is probably the most skilled guy on the team right now. If I was the staff I'd use him all over the place. On the PP you can use him on top as the trigger man if you are running the umbrella, and I'd use him as a forward off the wall if you are running overload. Box and 1, he could play anywhere.
He could be what Will Butcher is to Denver for us if he gets better defensively.
So the goaltending is set for next year. Defensively I think they'll be better next year.
1. Poolman-Bast
2. Peski-Wolanin
3. Shaw-Johnson
Rieger, Chartrand, Kiersted
So now that Jost is gone, and probably Pogo on the forward front.....the way too early look at possible line combos:
Gersich-Rhett-Mismash
Janatuinen-Hoff-Bowen
Smith-Simonson-Olson
Adams, Jones, Yon, Kawaguchi, Wilkie, Gornall......
Congratulations to Tyson on realizing your dream. Tough to say I'd stay in college with an NHL jersey dangled in front of my face.
Next man up, like it's always been.
So does Winnipeg make a hard push then for Tucker knowing he could become a free agent next year (ala Vesey) and take a chance on a guy with a torn up shoulder? Or do they say play a your senior year and have the contract waiting outside of the locker room at the XCEL energy center after the championship game of the NCAA frozen four?
How long are an individuals rights owned by a team again? I guess that will be a big factor.
Absolutely. Whose job is it to help institutions like Minot State, Iowa State, Illinois, or a U of Colorado get going towards full DI membership?
I'm guessing no ones. I'll hang up and listen.
I think if you asked Pogo he wouldn't be happy with his year. He has developed quite a bit since he got to UND but I thought he'd for sure be around the 40-50 point area when the season got over with.
Good luck if you do go Pogo.
