  1. Don't worry about hearing fighting sioux from the announcers, you'll hear sioux suck plenty of times from the bison contingent.
  2. I am guilty of going to the facebook complaint page thing.....wow..... I think people are more upset about this than when they sent the national championship banner to Grand Forks..... I guess if you think about it a big brick building doesn't make for much back drop for a live show. ESPN knows much more about quality broadcasting than I ever will. Plenty of bison fans will still be there.
  3. Well, if I'm an Ohio State fan and its between attending a BCS Bowl game in a warm weather city or watching an outdoor game where my team will likely lose in chilly Minnesota..... Is Wisconsin available that weekend?
  4. You made my day. Its never a bad day to be a fighting sioux fan. Ever. Crappy losses/seasons/stretches happen. I'm just as ticked off as everyone else. But never is it a bad day to call myself a sioux fan.
  5. The same Ohio State that had a CCHA playoff series in a practice rink last year and drew around 2,300 people for the ENTIRE series. 628 for the decisive third game.... If it isn't made out of a pig with white stripes....they just don't care.....
  6. Come on ESPN.....Downtown Fargo? How many times has gameday come to a location only to not host the event within a mile of the stadium? Still very cool that they are coming and all, but two miles from the stadium?

I agree, but maybe he'd come back with the chance to be a head coach. I mean a defensive coach with big time college football and NFL coaching experience. I don't know. What is Bob Babich doing?
  8. You mean Kauker isn't getting in guys faces? Ufff......thats why he's on the sideline......

Okay quick question to the defensive experts out there. Does UND play more dime or nickel on third and long situations?

Just throwing this name out there.....Tim Tibesar? Maybe? Not enough experience?
  11. That was the game right there. I would have run it again on second down to maybe get closer then run it on third down if it was inside the two. Hell, I would have run it four times, yes even on fourth down because then Chicago would at least have to go from their own end zone and be content with a tying field goal instead of a winning touchdown. I can't even get into the..."well ponder played better".....or "well we almost got that one..." When I saw the schedule I said 6-10. Next weekend is a toss up at home against a bad Cleveland team, then after that you fly to London to lose to Pittsburgh before the bye week.

Bold.....but at this point necessary. I wonder if there is any way to have Mussman comment on his players lack of giving a $hit on the sideline? Maybe a herald writer reads these posts and could ask that question for us. Question: "Coach, do you care to comment on your players on the sideline laughing and not seeming too interested in the football game when your team was down by 40 in the second half?" Answer: "Well.....for the most part we were toe to toe with them through the first quarter....shot ourselves in the foot with some drops and just didn't execute like we thought we would be able too.....ohh the guys on the sideline don't care?"

    Defense

Having a linebacker have coverage duty on a guy like that was insane. Watching it I was like, "Is that a LB chasing him down?" If you could please break down the other 7 touchdowns the defense gave up?
  14. If losing games like this builds character Viking fans have enough character to be the fricken pope.....
  15. Would not surprise me in the least bit if they finished 0-16. All games very losable.
  16. Was there any doubt they were losing today? Any doubt? After next week they're 0-3.....crap.

    Defense

I don't know a lot about defensive football, but I think athlete wise we are undermanned. The athletes on the offenses that UND will see > The athletes that we have on the defensive side of the football. But at least we make up for it by taking face mask penalties and late hit penalties when we do make a play.

I don't care who the next guy is, get rid of the dicking around on the sideline when you're down by 40 points, and the 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

So if Muss is fired.....who is on the short list of replacements? I will admit to having absolutely no clue on this one.

Players laughing and joking when they're down by 30 makes the loss that much easier to take.
  21. Good points...... I'll throw myself into those who thought the offense wouldn't miss a beat, but I was definitely wrong. Neither QB is a Manziel type freshman and they'll take their lumps and learning experiences along the way. I'm kind of upset that I thought a Freshman QB in the big sky could have a ton of success. Thought I had more football knowledge....guess not.
  22. I just want to go one game without a 15 year penalty.....just one. Guys are taunted every play, just the way it goes. If you mic'd the guys on the field you'd get a whole library worth of trash talking. To me something that has been consistent in the Mussman era has been the 15 yard penalties. If he's here another ten years, at least clean that up. 9 penalties too....yuck.
  23. I'm still in the Mollberg bandwagon. For people to say that he will forever be remembered in a game where his defense could have given up 70 if Montana kept trying is befuddling. I don't think Tom Brady could have lead the green and white to a victory last night. I don't care who the QB is for the rest of the year really. This team has zero chance of success with the current status of the defense.
  24. Yeah, plus Notre Dame was one of the schools involved last week in Ann Arbor. I'm kind of anxious to see where they decide to set up shop for the show. Maybe the south end where the Fargo Marathon stuff got started when I ran it a few years ago. Don't think there is much room on the west side with all the tailgaiting that goes on over there. Like I said, very cool thing for them to do. UND is off next week, maybe they'll interview Muss.....hahahaha....okay....never mind.
  25. Very very cool thing for them to do. I remember a few years ago when they went to a DIII school, just huge for everyone involved. Guess this could spew a little rivalry up between UND and NDSU. Plenty of UND grads running things in Fargo, and I'm sure one or two will show up. PS: Are there really no good games going on next weekend in the big boy division?
