You might be a gopher fan if..... 44. Grammer's tuff 4 u.

Cool....although someone should let him know the Spirko goal was the third place game at the final five that year.

Hey, the Wild have won two in a row on the road. Have a tough schedule to finish it out, but their last three games are at home. Thursday they're at Chicago with Chicago minus their two best forwards. Should be a game Minnesota finds a way to win.

One of the most intriguing things to me about the end of the season is hearing about all of the injuries that we as fans didn't hear about. Like Prpich playing with a dislocated shoulder, Oshie playing with a broken thumb, Matt Greene not practicing, only playing games. If that doesn't make you respect what these kids are doing, and the long grind nothing will. I'm anxious to hear about Parks, Mac, I think OD is dinged up a bit.....and Zane's injury as well.

Should have cut Rizzo from the start. But Herbie knew....

Looking at the IPF website, doesn't seem like they can play softball games in there. Although they could definitely practice. I love the sport of baseball, and don't mind softball, but the climate just doesn't make it sensible. The University of Minnesota is really missing the metrodome. They got an upgrade with the field turf at their new/upgraded old field, but a lot of those early games they had at home, like the Dairy queen classic can't happen this year. They played their first 20 games on the road this year. They were able to play some games at home last week, but only because they could clear off the field turf. (not possible in the outfield at Kraft, because you would tear up the grass) UND has already moved home games, and had to cancel one tomorrow against Crookston. They now head back south again to play in Nebraska before possibly hosting a home series. So 20 something games on the road before playing at home (fingers crossed). If the weather magically goes according to plan, they'll get to play 12 home games this year at Kraft field. They'll likely end up playing around 46 games this year, and only 12 of those will happen at home. I'm not a genius whatsoever when it comes to sports management, but I'm guessing that the baseball group has to be doing some fundraising or getting some donations, because dollars wise, they're always traveling which isn't cheap. Love baseball to death, but would love to see an expenditure report. At the same time, if a rich alumnus is out there bankrolling the whole thing, I'll go away......

0-1. You can tell how little confidence that Gardy has in Kubel when he didn't pinch hit with him at all in the later innings when the situation probably called for it. Nolasco reminds me of Blackburn......But at least Kurt Suzuki has already tied a career high for RBI's!

Gotta beat everybody. I have a better feeling about UND playing Minnesota than I would about UND playing BC. Minnesota is the top team in the country, but I think UND matches up a helluva lot better with them than BC. Its going to be interesting. Depends on which Minnesota and which North Dakota show up. Hopefully its the Ohio State Minnesota team, and the Wisconsin UND team.

Question.....will the new indoor training facility be able to hold softball games? If the answer is yes, then I'm fine with keeping softball. But yes, I agree with most who have posted. Does not make a lot of sense when you have no idea when the weather will allow them to practice outside even, let alone get on Kraft.

Yup. Team just lost to CC at the final five. Everyone gone. Guy with puck bucket walks to bench area, Hirsch asks for puck. Hirsch then takes puck to center ice and then does that. Said some prayers for that kid. Kind of a scary incident. Could have broke his neck if the zam doors aren't partially open. Someone already said it, but he took the rest of that year off, and I think the next year.

When I was a regular poster at USCHO....I tried.....I did. Lot of great college hockey fans out there....there really are. I'm not going to lie, Minnesota has some of the best people, and hockey fans that I've ever met, or conversed with. Even talked shop with some pretty cool BC guys who know more about the game than I could ever hope too. Then "those fans" show up.....and it just isn't worth the battle.....We have them too, and I'm more embarrassed for the normal parts of the fan bases than anything.

Saw that live. Still the strangest thing I've ever seen at a hockey game. Still can't believe that Lucia went to the officials changing room and tried to get a five out of it.....

Guys.....guys.....don't go over to GPL.....or even USCHO...... Let the ignorant ones come over here, and you'll get a minor understanding of the crap that goes on/is said over there. I wish they all could be like Sagaard and have some puck knowledge and a humble way of going about things.....but thats not the way it is.

And the 2007 weekend after the Wheeler goal....fine, I'll post it...

Here is another question. Is the maize Michigan jersey considered their third jersey or home jersey?
-
Color me shocked that UND-Minnesota is the night game.....wow. I thought for sure they'd have BC Johny and the boys from Union in the nightcap. Rumpel....DEAD Motte.....DEAD Wilcox.......The next Hobey hopefull on the list. Should be fun to see the two heated rivals get back together for an old time matchup.

I wish Notre Dame had beaten SCSU. That way it would have been an actual competition tonight. SCSU's run ended when Miami found themselves for a stretch of games. I thought SCSU would come into the regional like a team with a point to prove, but its been the opposite.

It was pretty funny radio. He really didn't know how to say it. He was at, "all the naysayers can stick a.....(pause)....in their......." I love TH. Guy has the best job in the world in my opinion. The homer in him comes out at times, but when you've been around the program as long as him, and bleed kelly green, you can't blame him.

Karl is such an intelligent guy. The Hakstol show did a little segment of him watching game film with the goaltenders, and it was refreshing to see him not so much directly coaching the goalies on direct methods, but having constructive dialogue with them. He let them give their take of what was going on, of what they were trying to do on certain plays, etc. I know that what they show on TV is the positive stuff, but it creates a good relationship between coach and player. Went to a camp as a kid with Bill Howard as a coach....my God....his way or the highway. I compliment all Wisconsin goaltenders who played under him, and had the mental toughness to get through it. Guy would completely break you down. Karl did play for Dean Blais for four years....so I'll go ahead and give him a compliment for playing for a guy that probably goes out of his way to run over a goalie on his way to work.

SCSU used up all their luck against the Irish. Gopher-Sioux.....The way it should be.
-
I don't know about the rest of you.....but boy does it make it so much easier watching games with the Sioux in the frozen four..... Last year, I just couldn't watch Sunday.....I know....lame.

I thought St. Clair lost a year of eligibility when he had to sit a year. Glad I was wrong on that one. Good to have a grinder like him for two more years.

With draft 15 picks they don't just hand a team the banner? What?
