Wake up this morning and my favorite group of hockey players have life. Similar situation to Yale. They ran the gauntlet last year playing on borrowed time. 23 wins doesn't buy you much this day in college hockey. But boy am happy the chips fell where they did.

Would not be surprised to see Miami lose a few of their studs after tonight's result. My guess is Coleman, and Czarnik for sure. Riley Barber a possibility as well.

He didn't open up about his traveling with the team stories until a few years ago. He told me that story a few years back with a lot more profanity involved from all the people involved. I'm surprised he talked about Uber Jorkmanb……We don't talk about him….

That NCHC title game was a snooze fest in the first period……we all looked at each other and no one needed to say anything. Plus we were all wasting phone batteries hoping Ohio State would put their nonsense to a rest. I just followed hockey east and big ten games. My heart/gallbladder can't handle four games at once.

Great time again. Mafia does a tremendous, tremendous job with everything. I enjoy hearing about everyone's love of fighting sioux hockey. It just becomes a way of life. Its not a question of if we'll follow the group around every year, its when we follow them around in March. After what has been a tough few weeks for myself and some of those close to me, it was nice to get away from it all for a while and enjoy the company of some good people. Looking forward to next year already. Can't wait.

Not gonna lie…..left the NCHC championship game after the first period. Walked over to Kieran's or whatever its called and watched the rest of the Big Ten hockey championship game. I think as many have already said, boy were we big time Wisconsin fans. Funny that they'll likely play each other next weekend to open up the NCAA tournament. You've got to beat everybody. I can't say who I'd rather see UND play. PS: Was sitting at Hubert's and saw Rocco sitting with his family eating before we went over to the pub. Funny how my group of Sioux diehards were sitting on pins and needles, and he could have really cared less. Almost like he kind of knew it was going to be alright. Took time to shake my hand and say hi, nice nice guy

Sioux played inconsistent like they have all year long. I've thrown them under the bus before, but I won't again. They are what they are. Not a ton of top end talent, and just an average hockey team overall. I'll show up tomorrow and cheer my @ss off for them. And the next game, and the game after that. Its been kind of a week month personally for me. Former student I taught took his own life, and my best friend in the whole wide world is dealing with cancer with multiple members of his family. Little things like college hockey keep me upbeat. And win or lose, Sioux hockey is a great release from the things that truly matter in life.

Was actually a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Deano for trying to cheat his line changes. He had been warned earlier, but kept doing it. When told he got a penalty for that he told the reff he wasn't sending a player over to the box, which got him tossed.

I like the physical edge that Ausmus brings, but Thompson wins my vote because he adds offense to a team that struggles to score at times. If they could clone Stecher I'd be okay with that option too.

Same thing as UNO right...

They may need to consider hosting the tournament at the top seed's venue. I mean how close were they this year to CC, Western, Miami, and Denver? Just a thought. UMD, Duluth, SCSU, UND make it and attendance isn't an issue.
-
Last time the Sioux played Miami it was pretty simple. Chip it out against their top guys, and then attack their defensemen with multiple bodies around the net. Not sure you can just chip and chase now that they have Coleman back and their top six forwards are pretty good, but I think that a lesson that can be learned from Miami beating SCSU is gap control defensively. SCSU gave some of those forwards way too much space and they paid for it. Miami is still horrible in their own end. They overcommit a lot, and Czarnik almost cost his team dearly against SCSU when he let a guy behind him for that goal with .1 left on the clock. When I was at the UND-Miami series I've never seen a goaltender yell at his defensemen so much, and for good reason. McKay almost killed one of them one time, but he was saved by his defensive partner.

Roll Tribe! PS: And I should have said what happened at the end of the season the last time the Sioux played at the Target Center.

Just wanted to say that the lucky sweater is 5-0 in game threes since I was in college.....

UND fans will be out in full force Friday night in downtown Minneapolis. Can't wait for Friday to get here. Some beers to settle me in for Western and Denver, and then UND-Miami to keep their seasons alive. Everyone remembers the last game UND played at the Target Center.
-
Agreed. They have to look at defensive zone coverage. Too many goals from the points off of tips and screen plays where sticks weren't tied up. Breaking the puck out will be a point of discussion I'm betting. Keep it simple against Miami fellas.

Heart is in my throat......

Bad turnover again, and its 4-3. Come on fellas.
-
The last guy you want on a breakaway twice in a row.....but under two minutes left now.
-
Okay.....Powerplay UND. Watch the cherry picking Russian.
-
Under 5 to the Hogg being the social place to be on Saturday at 11 AM.

I had a feeling Panz would end up in the lineup tonight for a more physical presence. I like him in the lineup. Not the most talented guy in the world, but the effort and heavy game (© Starman) add a lot to the group.

Okay, question here.....The Parks line can score but at the same time a defensive liability. How much ice do they see the last 8 minutes here? UND Bench on injured Tiger: He hit himself....glad he's okay.
