5X5 I don't think Vermont can hang with UND.
So UND decides to take penalties....okay.
PS: Tremendous move by Drake. Thats the definition of undressing a defenseman.
Well, since we know that a certain defense doesn't create turnovers against good football teams......
If the offense doesn't run the ball half the time and snap the ball with 1 second on the play clock every down EWU could get to 70.
I think UND has a great 1-2 punch of Rocco and Parks in the shootout. Rocco has the hands and footwork to make a lot of great off balance moves which is tough on any goaltender. Parks is a finisher. Didn't show it last year, but when he is going in the right direction he finishes plays around the net.
And the 3rd guy......hmmmmm......How about....ufff.....I guess Mark Mac.
Thats right. Didn't he fight Tony Turgeon? Or was it Tony Turgeon's aunt?
Nevertheless. Here is the weekend lineup folks:
Rocco-Drake-Tambellini
Parks-Mark-Johnson
Chyzyk-Gaarder-Murphy/Mitch
Rodwell-Pattyn-St. Clair
Apologies to OD. Just probably won't ever be the guy that had a lot of junior success.
Don't know who should play with who on defense. And the goalies will split the games.
Prediction: EWU 62 UND 28
Thoughts: Defense can't stop anybody. How are they going to stop a team that put up almost half a hundred on Oregon State at Oregon State. And thats Oregon State's only loss of the season.
Concerns: EWU ending up with 70 points, and it being the worst loss in homecoming history.
Wonder who got the more skilled Pattyn.....UND or Vermont?
Pattyn has always been border line drop the gloves with someone. Maybe his brother is border line as well and they decide they may as well fight each other.
When was the last time we had a good old fashioned fight? Anybody? Gosh, was it Rylan Kaip?
As far as the uniform is concerned, they need something on the sides of the helmet. Maybe North Dakota in a cursive script above the ear holes or something like that. Would make the green jerseys and breezers fit that much better.
I'm glad they got the green breezers that looked exactly the same as the mid 90's ones. Gosh, just gave me goosebumps right away.
I just want to call shenanigans. Everyone obviously saw Rocco score the best goal of the night in the shootout.
Alright, I'm out, but I'm glad that Rocco is capable of putting a black puck in a white net. I was worried.
I think the top six next week is pretty set.
Parks-Mark-Johnson
Rocco-Drake-Tambelini.
Then you put Rodwell in with General and whoever on the fourth unit, and St. Clair and Gaarder make up the third unit with Murphy or Mitch.
Saunders stopped a penalty shot, but wasn't tested. Zane saw some more quality opportunities, but stood his ground and made it look easy with some pretty good positional play.
Shots were like almost three to one, but didn't hear a final.
