Same with Fargo. Scheels has a geothermal system which is not ideal for hockey playing in warmer temp months and lots of bodies in the building. Last year the Gophers-UMASS game after the Mankato and Western game was a slush fest. I'm not sure what kind of ice plant system the Denny center has down in Sioux Falls, but if its 77 degrees outside and you don't have your HVAC figured out it makes for a terrible surface.

Next man up mentality. The game will come down to our efficiency in the ozone. We should have the puck a good amount of the game. If we can keep our foot on the gas pedal without making mistakes that turn into transition for them we will be okay. Everybody in the tournament has good goaltending, you don't make the tournament without it. I think the goaltending in the NCHC is fantastic, with the likes of Gajan, Drobac, Hammer, Miller, Latcokzy, Mbereko, and Jan. Not a lot of cheap goals to be scored, and our guys did a good job getting the puck past some legit guys.

Although his play wasn't great at times, I'll always be impressed with his warrior mentality while taking a beating with a broken shoulder socket.

I agree fully with this. Time as a head coach in the USHL and time to learn and grow under Mike Hastings. The next question becomes....leave Madison for Stearns County.

I will say it was funny that someone got the rumor mill going yesterday with talk of Fersch and the buyout. I've always thought Larson was an excellent coach, let's see what he does in Minneapolis.

Preach on. Loved spending Friday through Sunday watching wall to wall college hockey on MSC. We didn't know what we had going.....

Wait! They could've put Merrimack in Worcester and packed the rink!!! Exactly...so a #1 seed has an almost true road game in the playoffs against a team that barely snuck in. Makes all the sense in the world. Maybe the east teams whining about heading west makes the push for home regionals more of a reality during the coaches get together in Florida.

Funny thing is that these teams will be on their charter flights for a shorter time period than UND will spend on their bus from Grand Forks to Sioux Falls.

The Warriors are a gritty group. Super bought into the cause of defensive hockey and scoring on limited opportunities. They won their championship much like Northeastern did. Time to win ours.

How about you swap the Q and Cornell? The Q is in Connecticut, and it would make sense for them to go to Worcester. Then you are flopping the 10 and 11 instead of the 9 and 10.

I think we play Merrimack first. Duluth finished 8th in the NPI. If it went chalk you'd have: Michigan vs. Bentley and Duluth vs. Penn State in Albany. UND vs. Merrimack and Providence and the Q in Sioux Falls. I invision a Providence and Duluth swap.

Fun game to watch. I'd say Duluth had the edge in OT1.
