Parish is a clown, but I'm a fan of Jim Erickson. Love listening to him calling the tourney.

I mean this speaks to the state of FCS football. ISU will make it somewhat of a game, what would SE Louisiana do tomorrow in Fargo. I think its on the NCAA to combine the FCS and G4 or whatever its called. Make the P5 only compete amongst themselves and have a championship in some form for the FCS/G teams with bowl eligibility included if they need fillers. One man's take on it.

WF beats Grafton 7-1. Central beats Davies in OT. Sheyenne up 2 goals with about 7 minutes left over RR. Minot up 3-1 in the 3rd.

Wilbur's current EDC Power rankings. 1. Central-Not rolling quite yet, but will get there. 2. RR-Ulmer and Haagenson are a lot to handle. 3. Davies-Lost to Sheyenne, but they've got some good young forwards. 4. Sheyenne-Having Fitzpatrick in the net gives them a punchers chance in any game. He was the difference against Davies. 5. North-Dropped one to GPR, but I'll put them here after a 3-1 start. 6. WFHS-Still figuring out life post Mattern. Big game with the Spoilers tomorrow. 7. Devils Lake-Figuring out life post Forsberg. Gave Central a good game at home. Love how Stromme plays. 8. Shanley-Kind of where I thought they'd be to start. Getting used to a new coach too. Tough loss to Mandan last night. 9. GPR-Always tough at home regardless who they play. Imagine if they had Larson. Lets see how they look in WF tomorrow. 10. I mean all Brungard did was lead his team in passing and rushing and put up nearly 4,700 yards of total offense this season. Payton a very respectful 3,400 yards of total offense, and very much agree that most years he is the guy.

He's pretty hurt that Payton didn't get offensive POY. Yet please remember Payton's performance at the Alerus against what he believed was a non playoff team.

Glad that SCSU is getting some much needed improvements. One year UND was there there was a power outage before the game and the game barely happened because of soft ice. Before then the school wouldn't buy a generator for the facility as it wasn't in the budget. The NCHC called soon after and the Herb got its generator!

Great opportunity for the team to take more strides against a good team. Concussions suck. When I was a young lad I was actually hospitalized with a concussion because I wouldn't stop throwing up and they had to hook me up to IV's. Hoping for Jerry that he experiences no PCS symptoms as thats another ball of wax to deal with. I've written the NCAA asking them to come up with a penalty when a player leads with the top or crown of the helmet into another player's head or neck area when hitting them. I think we should call it an aiming penalty.

So if you ask Dom Izzo what the best conference is he'd say the MVFC, after the SEC of course....😀 All that is written in the FM about the mighty MVFC yet when it comes time to pick your teams for the bracket you can't put your blind rage aside and go against what you've preached for years with solid journalistic belief that lesser conference teams are now more deserving.... Hypocrisy at its finest.

Max Vig had himself one helluva weekend and a bad bounce there and a broken stick and that's the weekend. Spunar the difference in the game tonight, not a great performance by the home team.

Beavers have played well tonight. I think they got challenged to put together a better performance and they have. UND is relying on Spunar to get them through the weekend unfortunately.

I was always on the fence on Simon(maybe more off the fence), but he came through when his number was called, credit to the young man. It almost seemed like the play calling got better when he came in too.

Now that its over.... The state of FCS officiating is a travesty. Targeting is in place to keep kids from getting CTE some day and the officials let the kids down today. Holding never called, PI is so one sided its a gong show, late hits.... Every week its the same BS. The Big Sky crew gets an F today. Well done crew.
