In the boys AA division Rosemount punched their ticket by beating St. Thomas last night, and are the only team that has currently qualified for the tournament. I think its big to just blow the doors off those first three opponents and go into Nebraska with all the positive energy in the world. With Jerry in the right mindset he's a candidate for the Walter Payton award as we saw early last season. Whether you like Danny or hate him, I'd rather have his creativity on the offensive side than Big Ten Isaac. If we can average 25-30 ppg on the offensive side outside of the early season potential blowouts I like our chances to be serious contenders in the postseason.

WDAY extra has the games for a streaming fee I believe for Thursdays games? All my GF extended family are big Red River fans. I think the one time this year I hope they win will be against the Knights Saturday night at Scheels Arena.

Going to take a lot for the Jays. Hopefully their former coach instilled playing with a huge heart (Matt Henderson would say brass balls) in the d zone as they'll have to block a ton of pucks and be hemmed up for a good portion of the game. Maybe their goalie has a bit of Connor H in him and can hold down the fort? I'll say Red River 5-1 and eat crow if they shock the state Thursday.

Okay, so I'll bite. Thrilled for the women's hockey team, and the Bismarck gal that was able to compete and capture a gold after her covid diagnosis from the last Olympics. Watched every minute of the women's hockey. Same heart beat for their game as the men's game. Other's don't enjoy it, heck, I don't enjoy speed skating or the luge, my opinion. My question would be is that you show a lot of the hatred towards others in your posts "trailer trash", or calling other's "pedos". Your opinion obviously, and you are free to share that. Why would you come here then and frequent the threads that unfortunately turn political in nature? If there is "nothing to see here" and it irks you to the magnitude that it apparently does? My two cents, you don't need to respond in any matter to me, its your right to be here and express your negative opinion of the board.

I think our defense will be fine in that game and more than hold their own. Hopefully with three games already played Jerry and Danny have a good feel for what our offensive identity needs to be and we move the ball in what will be the biggest road test next season.

2026 Way too early prediction: LIU..........thats a win. St. Thomas....win At Portland State.....win At Nebraska....loss At ISU Blue.....win Murray....win At Northern Iowa....win South Dakota State.....better play calling leads to a win. At South Dakota.....Can we please get a win at the Dakota Dome? I'll say we get over the hump. At Youngstown....I think their QB does what he does and this is the one league loss. Illinois State.....Well coached team, but we don't lose at home this season. Southern Illinois.....Close out the regular season with a senior day win. 10-2 is on the table, with thoughts and dreams of 11-1 happening.

So if I'm doing the math correctly if we can get either game to OT we finish ahead of Western regardless and share the league title with Denver unless ASU figures out how to get a point out of it too. How big would it be for @MafiaMan to get to celebrate a conference championship with a shootout victory over Western? That is if he can come back down from his high of watching the USA winning in the 3x3 format in both the women's and the men's. Again, not sure how long that victory tour will last?

ASU playing for their lives in Denver is a good thing. At the same time we should expect no help from them and have the mindset of 3 points or bust. Got to expect to win on Friday night at Lawson. Good late season test at a difficult arena to play in. Lets get our d zone tightened up. Playoff mentality from here on out.

Legacy coaches likely to pull up game tape of Shanley-Sheyenne and Shanley-North. They'll see they're not going to beat Shanley with a stretch passing or a skating game. They clog up lanes really well and chip pucks like the Dean French teams with the co-op. Central made the adjustment from their previous game with them, but you are also talking about a buzz saw with the depth at forward they have and helter skelter once the puck is below the dots.

I think low scoring game either way. In no way automatic for Sheyenne, I'll just pick them because Minot without one of their better players Thursday.

Yeah I'm dual and the relatives are quiet today. After the four nations I took it for a while.

I'll say.... Sheyenne 3-1 Red River 6-1 Central 8-0 Shanley 4-1 Semis the Grand Forks schools roll. Red River gets over the hump and beats Central Saturday night. Could be more OT.
