Wait! They could've put Merrimack in Worcester and packed the rink!!! Exactly...so a #1 seed has an almost true road game in the playoffs against a team that barely snuck in. Makes all the sense in the world. Maybe the east teams whining about heading west makes the push for home regionals more of a reality during the coaches get together in Florida.

Funny thing is that these teams will be on their charter flights for a shorter time period than UND will spend on their bus from Grand Forks to Sioux Falls.

The Warriors are a gritty group. Super bought into the cause of defensive hockey and scoring on limited opportunities. They won their championship much like Northeastern did. Time to win ours.

How about you swap the Q and Cornell? The Q is in Connecticut, and it would make sense for them to go to Worcester. Then you are flopping the 10 and 11 instead of the 9 and 10.

I think we play Merrimack first. Duluth finished 8th in the NPI. If it went chalk you'd have: Michigan vs. Bentley and Duluth vs. Penn State in Albany. UND vs. Merrimack and Providence and the Q in Sioux Falls. I invision a Providence and Duluth swap.

Fun game to watch. I'd say Duluth had the edge in OT1.

I'd guess Western is hoping Duluth wins? That would likely mean Worcester and not Carle and company in CO.

Duluth played just about a perfect game last weekend. Denver very much firing on all cylinders. Looks like Loveland is the region of death.

It was fun watching UCONN take it to BC at times. They very much deserved to win that one.

Predictions for tonight: I'll say: Michigan over Ohio State Dartmouth over Princeton Denver over Duluth. UCONN over Merrimack. I'd love chaos, but home ice wins out and Dartmouth and UCONN are better teams.

What about Hakstol? Kidding aside I think they'll be just fine with the kids they have committed. Need to get away from the portal goalie world that UND fans know too well.

I think we live in a day where these guys see the grass isn't always greener, while using the "opportunity" as leverage to get the AD to throw a contract extension their way. As far as the GPL diehards throwing out ridiculous names like Carle....I'd say beggars can't be choosers.
