Sheyenne ends up 3rd. Good showing by Legacy, Sheyenne's goalie was good again today. One more game and we officially get to early defection season.

Someone mentioned it earlier, and it shocked me was that you only had one Bantam team from GF qualify for the state tournament. Watched a bit of the AA this morning. Good game between WF and GF. Bismarck hockey cam on YouTube if anyone interested.

Hats off to the Legacy goaltender. 68 saves, three off Walski's state tournament record. Best two teams in the ship should be a battle. I'll pick RR.

North/South loses in OT back to back years at the state tournament. You wonder how many kids like Fischer can come through a program. Soft goal to end the game, but thats OT for ya.

All but one team in the tournament, as we await Gentry and WBL tonight. Seeding wise AA I'll say: AA: 1. Tonka, 2. Moorhead 3. Edina 4. Rosemount 5. Grand Rapids

He was boarded and broke his collar bone. I was hoping a west team got through, but the officials missed that one.

Legacy wins 4-1. West avoids a sweep for the third year in a row. Almost got two today.

3-1 Sabres. EN. West may get one today.

2-1 Sabres. Never won a state tournament game. Under 6 to go.

1-1 Legacy and Shanley headed to the third period. Shanley's best player got boarded pretty good and I think he's hurt and probably out of the game.

Red River wins 5-1. Sheyenne and RR tomorrow at 5:30.

Pretty good game to start the tournament. Could've gone either way. Both teams missing their best senior d man, and a pretty even game that ended up in OT. Unfortunately not all the games will be like that. The next two probably pretty ugly. Sheyenne vs. Red River tomorrow night is going to come down to Sheyenne's young goaltender having to play extremely well.

A guy that works for me is from Detroit Lakes. I'm told its been 30 years since they made state. They will literally have to slay the dragon to get there tonight. They have a good goaltender. He will need to make 40 plus saves for them to win tonight.

Gentry and WBL with semi upsets which leads me to believe Moorhead is all but assured the #2 seed and if Tonka was to lose they'll be the top seed next week.
