2021-22 University of North Dakota Hockey Season
Wilbur replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
Alright....another Central goalie wearing #1. I think Johnson will rep #6 well, big shoes. 16, 18, 29 will take some time to sink in (sigh...Gooooch) A Schmaltz wearing 8 helps, a Bast not wearing #2 won't help. Over under on roster checks into November December is at 20. Wonder out loud if UND ever will expand into the 40s or beyond with numbers. -
There is literally zero reason to like that city.....
-
My God Kepler.....there has to be a team willing to take him. Just a lost cause in the outfield. Does not hit enough to be a disaster in the outfield. *Then hits an oppo homer to give hope.
-
Woof....Sano. 9.2 million next year, and 14 million the next season. They wouldn't be able to trade a bucket of BP balls for him at this point..... Maybe find a dump trade team for him and see if Cruz wants another season but at 10 or less a year.
-
Kepler, Donaldson, Cruz, Rooker, Simmons, Colome. Miranda is ready to play 3rd. Gordon can fill in until Royce is ready at short. Kiriloff can be your every day first baseman. Get something for Kepler before its too late (Sano). For God sakes....get some starting pitching. Future lineup. 1. Arraez-LF 2. Polonco-2B 3. Buxton-CF 4. Sano-DH 5. Miranda-3B 6. Larnach-RF 7. Kiriloff-1B 8. Gordon-SS 9. Jeffers/Garver-C

Sigh.....you're probably right. Would be cool for them to play a northeastern team in Phoenix. Every time we play golf in AZ the father in law and I get matched up with someone from Boston, Philly, NY, Jersey, etc.
-
1. I hope not. 2. 2,000 I'd guess. 3. P p p pllease...... 4. Gila River in AZ, tons of North Dakotans with homes in the Phx area. Allegiant direct flights to Mesa from Fargo, Minot, Bismarck...not sure about Grand Forks. Guaranteed sellout if Allegiant didn't go ridiculous on flight costs.

Hak with a great opportunity to build his own team. Not many get that chance, although there are some salary cap restrictions he will have to follow. I read a prediction of who they would take team by team, and some writers predict Hak will take Ghostisbehere from Philly. Funny thing is multiple people have told me Hak hates the guy. Be interesting to see for sure.

Wonder if the Caps will expose him in Kraken draft 2021. Probably depends on Ovi. I'd prefer the Kraken take T.J. and just pass on Dane or Karl if we expose them. -

If that hack Hakstol (see what I did there) takes Dane and Karl....... If any coach was to get plucked I would bet Dane. Which would leave room for a Lamoureux to move up from the USHL, or an Ulmer to become a full time assistant. If I was a Caps fan I'd also be a bit on edge..... -

I asked an individual who shall remain nameless from the Fargo Force about the kid and they just smiled and said no comment. -

Be fun to see who goes first between Johnson and Morrow in the draft. I'll bet Morrow because of Johnson's injury. Both talented players, but I'm fine with them going with Johnson. Been hearing for months that Morrow was a flight risk, guess he proved some folks correct in the matter. -

I'm glad we have 4 goalies. Important for if Driscoll gets hurt. At the same time if Kaleb has another year of juniors wouldn't it be best to get him get another full year in and if there are injury concerns get him on the next bus to Grand Forks? I guess at the same time getting a full year of practice with a D1 team would help his development as well. -
I've never been a Rocco fan. In the past the team hit through his management mistakes and it didn't matter in the long run because they scored so much. I don't see them digging out of this huge hole. Unfortunate because of the talent they have offensively.
-
Sam wins. Jacks losing Gronowski was clearly the difference. How unlucky can you get? Off to fall ball.
-
Sam looks to win now. Late score. Tough end of the game for the Jacks. A really bad missed holding on the o line for Sam on the final drive too.
-
Come on Jacks. Hold them now.
-
Ohh man.....Gronowski..... I hope the kid is okay or Gibbs could have the reigns back in Brookings in the fall. Could be Sam's break for the title.
-
Another one tonight.....Rocco takes out Maeda after he set down 9 straight. Then leaves Thielbar in to pitch against Tim Anderson..... They may lose 100 games this year.
-
Ryan Miller calls it a career. Hats off to the winningest American goaltender in NHL history.
-
I think its the Jacks time. Sam has proven they can score a lot and quickly, but I believe Gronowski will be the difference and they will get up on Sam and not let them back in it like James did. I'll repeat what others have said. The Jacks being there and rightfully there gives me hope that with a couple more kids on the line and a guy or two that can stretch a defense a bit at WR we are building towards a championship caliber team.
-
Wonder if that's 25 kids for both JV and Varsity.
-
Agreed. That team took a 5-1 lead over Russia in the first game and from that point on just didn't look like they meshed at all.
-
Kaprizov is the best pick in Wild history. Huge career ahead for him. Used to love Dumba, but just hasn't had it this year. -3 tonight and his guy hits the post in close late that would have won the game for the ducks.
