Agreed on Kepler. Missed the boat on bigger earlier opportunities to move him, but it seems like the front office is ready to move on.

My take on it is Johnson is a practice puck eater for 4 to 5 seasons while getting in a game at some point to get his Midco moment ala Tate Maris. Didn't have super great numbers in the NAHL, but did his due diligence coming to a lot of the summer skating sessions with former/current players that Bubbs brought him in as a walk on team guy. With the goaltending that the team has gotten this season if he was capable he would have been in the net by now. Sounds like a great teammate, always willing to take more pucks from guys working on things in non practice settings, and loves his cheese.
