Davies punches their ticket. They'll get either the 3 or 4 seed depending on WFHS and North.
-
That skate save was better lucky than good. A credit to you and the coaches in Jamestown for the Jays playing the game the right way. That's something that is a culture that is instilled in the youth levels. I enjoyed watching them this year. They'll never have the most talent, but those kids will battle for each other.
-
Congrats to the Braves. Big for a class B school to qualify.
-
Young man in net for the Jays has been excellent. Really impressed with some of the saves he's made.
-
WDA picks: Bottineau-Rugby over Jamestown. Legacy over Mandan. Century over Minot. EDC: Davies over DL WFHS over North Central over RR
-
I agree. His top two lines were rolling last night, and they got a good goaltending performance as well. I wouldn't be shocked if they knocked off Minot.
-
Heard from some folks that Cunningham of KNOX had some harsh words for Mattern at the end of the game on his broadcast. Didn't watch, can anyone elaborate?
-
Century looked really really good tonight until they let off the gas and it ended up 6-3. Could see some dog fights in the first round with Minot and Century getting either DL, North, Davies, or WF.

It is a great day of hockey across the state as we have 8 games going today. A fun day for all. WDA Picks: Mandan, Bottineau-Rugby, Minot, Century. EDC Picks: North, Devils Lake, WFHS, Central. PSP for WDA, Knox for EDC streaming.

No, I think Ausmus, Spicer, Panzer, and Costello will be fine when they get here.
-
Bottineau-Rugby goaltender was fun to watch. Just a Sophomore. Only goal he gave up was off his d man's shin pad.
-
Watching the game with my dad said the same thing about him 5 minutes before it ended. Can't lose 97 right there.
-
Good hockey tonight. Good for the fans. I think losing Tkachuk and McAvoy was big for the USA. The Olympics should be fun if USA can keep most of the band together.
-
Jays really rolled with Walz back in the lineup. Their top line was extremely tough to play against for Mandan.
-
Not very exciting hockey on day 1 of the EDC tournament. My Fargo North connections tell me that they started the wrong kid in the net in their loss against Davies. Now they are backs against the wall against GPR with a date with RR or WFHS if they get past the Spoilers. I think that WFHS-RR game has OT written all over it. The other side you have Mayport against DL, and Davies and Central. I think Central punches their ticket to state and DL beats Mayport. Davies vs. Devil Lake to go to the state tournament.

I'm waiting for insight from the color commentor from years back who was on the bachelor or bachelorette.

Denver Gazette guy went full idiot mode in his journalism per @Goon's twitter. Surprised I haven't seen anything in regards to the scrum on Saturday. Yet, that would again mean actual journalism.
-
Devils Lake ran into a buzz saw tonight. Forsberg took himself out of the game after goal #7. Backup kid did well, although he did get undressed by Mattern on goal #8. Red River and West Fargo in what should be a battle on Friday night at Purpur Arena.
-
Not having Boisvert or Perron a big deal obviously. 29 and 5 not a huge impact other than I guess they are captains.
-
LOL..... Spit the coffee on that one.

We need Beavers, and Friars, and Terriers, and Purple Cows, and Big Reds, and whatever Robert Morris is to win a bit..... -
Duluth heads west on highway 2 for a matchup with UND. Three weekends left in NCHC play and UND some how is in 4th place in the league by a point over Denver and 2 points over CC, who got the gift of Miami at home. Denver heads to Oxford this weekend, I'll assume they end up with 6 points in that one. Duluth is pretty locked into 7th place after they took four points from ASU at Amsoil after two OT games. The Plante brothers are healthy, and the guy that was supposed to be the backup, Knapp, has put together some performances and has taken over the net. Max Plante is 4th on their team in scoring, even after missing 13 games. For UND hopefully you get Sacha or Perron back, but if not the kids that played Saturday did fine in place of other guys that didn't suit up. Gotta sweep as Denver has their next four with #9 and #8 before we head to Lawson, where the Penrose could be in the building. I'll say a split. We win Friday.

Do we have a B team we can play against Sweden if that game goes to OT? Ohh shoot, Sweden won, Canada is eliminated....
-
We would need TJ to play the two games of his life.

They are doing the thing where they string me along now. If they sweep Duluth at home, one win at Western could put them on the cusp of an at large bid..... Yet, the sweeping Duluth at home part.....
