In all fairness, some of the angst is well earned by some of our less that sportsmanlike brethren. Some of the antics that have taken place at Baxter by Hawks “fans” deserve to be chastised. Harassing folks in the student section, hanging around the doors after a win and drunkenly boasting superiority do not make us welcome guests. Sure, they have some homers, but for the most part they are a minority, just like we have ours. I’m more interested in what happens on the ice not social media.

A lot of people feel this way, too many bad calls/non calls ruin the game for knowledgeable fans. The band wagoners don’t even notice and the intellectuals wax poetic on interpretation. We had two at the Ralph go in our favor a while ago and no one said a thing, then two against and it was the end of the world. My point is this, the refs are deciding games, not on purpose, but deciding nonetheless. That sucks, for both teams, and, both fan bases. It decides the future, and that is wrong...

Their road record should solve that question...

Put away your broad brush. I know a lot of great hockey fans in both places. Their are homers (fans) everywhere... why we might even have a few ‘round here!

And just think... a year ago it was “fire Berry”, “revoke 80% of the scholarships”, “burn down the Ralph” and “bring Hak back”...

My bet is a split season with the Mavs. Young, better than you give them credit for, little mistakes that will be fixed...

Say what you want about Omaha, but they have played everyone fairly even. Good coaching, young squad, on the rise. I saw the game as pretty even, pretty exciting, just one of those outcomes. Will the Sioux recover, of course. Will the Mavericks go to the NCAA’s, probably not. But today they aren’t a very good team is uninformed.

Agree with. That, and not just the WJC. NCAA should do it too.

None of the NCHC teams are ‘bad’, look at the noncon records. Even in the down years sweeping any team ‘round here is tough. Even the bottom 4, for want of that 1 or 2 in the top 6, or 1 or 2 on the back line are competing for home ice. A shut down goal tender (Leclarc!) makes a bottom dweller dangerous with a one goal lead in the 3rd. This year will be interesting, lots of freshmen all around. Who gels quickest?

Make sure they’re specific as to WHICH GOAL!

Clarkson would be a great matchup too, or Cornell. Be good for both of them to come west more often.

Happens all the time with some of these guys. They commit for one reason, then find out it’s the wrong reason. I think it just shows lack of knowledge and maturity. Don’t need those guys as it shows up in the locker room, practice efforts and toughness...

They are a balanced squad, well built and just a bit better than average. Hate Ciskie. They come at ya. I really thought Clarkson take them out given the chance.
