  1. But no different a reaction than Scheels blow to the head on 45.
  2. Senden’s goal qualifies... 73.2 Penalty - If, in the opinion of the official, an attacking player initiates contact that physically prevents the goalkeeper from defending the goal, the attacking player may receive a penalty. This penalty may be enforced whether or not the goalkeeper is inside or outside the goal crease and whether or not a goal is scored. The referee should give significant consideration to the degree and nature of the contact with the goalkeeper rather than to the exact location of the goalkeeper at the time of the contact. If an attacking player establishes position in the goal crease, and is physically or visually screening the goalkeeper and impairing the ability to defend the goal, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.
  3. My posts are in reaction to the childish behavior on this board. They are neither anti-Hawk, nor pro-Mav. The NCHC has had an issue of this type for years. Pro UND, anti UND. THE SAME CAN BE SAID FOR EVERY TEAM EXCEPT UMD!
  4. More name calling. Watch. The. Game. Put your f@cking glasses on. Lost an edge my @ss.
  5. Well, not sure I would align with that description, but you’re right about discipline. The boys take unnecessary risk on some of their physical play. The hit on JT was targeting an I saw it coming by the body position taken. Stick high for balance, leading the the elbow, vulnerable player. That was the worst I have seen in weeks. Yeah, yeah, everybody pile on. He left, deserted our team. The kid did the right thing, we ought to celebrate losing a kid of his skill because he couldn’t crack the line up...
  6. More bitching. More whining. Watching the game, “bad reffing” was evenly distributed. Both 5’s were rulebook. The first of which could have been a game but wasn’t. We got several PP’s that could have been ignored but weren’t. And the Mavs pressure was killed due to a whistle for a down zebra. Saville got run twice, and we all know how WE reacted when the same was done to ours by others. We tend to defend this as part of the game until...
  7. It’s funny I guess, all the bitching and whining with regards to the game. I watched Gabinet’s post game and he seemed to focus on his teams emotion and execution. No whining, no bitching, just a professional evaluation of his teams performance. Yes, he’s a passionate advocate for his team, but if you want bitching and moaning just read through the above...
  8. Well said. There isn’t much distance between the teams which is surprising based on our steady stream of blue chips. UNO has done wonders in rebuilding with transfers and rookies. Not dominant yet, but 2 or 3 years down the same path may surprise everyone.
  9. Scheel should have gotten 2 if not more. The rule book is pretty specific. I didn’t see a slash, Abate only had one hand on his stick and his arms up. It want a slash, he was playing the rebound.
  10. Agree. If Pinto doesn’t get the soft goal and Omaha had gone up 2, very different game. Our third goal was kinda greasy and it definitely changed the game. All the chirping will turn into Thome’s net and fire Berry if tomorrow night turns out different. The Mavs have shown to come back strong after a loss, and tonight they showed a lot a comeback. 2 posts and a crossbar go in and boom, we’re chasing. Forget the last 2 goals, didn’t mean a thing...
  11. Sorry to hear, get well soon...
  12. Bigger ice surface, 2 weeks off ice, 28 days lay off.
  13. I think the teams should have finished the season with no fans. Why risk it, why cause the hard feelings?
  14. Well, that’s unless they changed the rules or I should change my glasses. Several very pretty goals. Miami has played everyone tough and made them work for wins. My bet is they are just a year or two from becoming a pain in the a**
  15. They weren’t.
  16. That’s why we have THE best league in the country. Easy wins are for kids (sorry Trix!)
  17. Watching the series last weekend, I can tell you that CC was a tape to tape or a shot ON goal from several chances. Missed the net all series and it makes you wonder why. Struggled to connect on 20 plus plays on the power play. Confidence seems low but several of the top 6 should have buried pucks. I call a rebound and a tough game 1 with the result dictating game 2...
  18. Those are some pretty strong words, good, measured response. Return to you corners, standing eight count...
  19. If this kind of contact isn’t managed by the coaches across the NCHC, we’ll end up with more, stricter, reviewable penalties. I love hockey, I think we need to keep it hockey. They wrestled over overtime for years to shorten the game time to make up for reviews. At least now they drop the effin puck for face offs...
  20. But, take into account Chrona’s position and the centrifugal affect of goal pads. I think he was in a bad, and yes vulnerable, position. I think Grant was being aggressive, but don’t believe intent to injure was there. It was reckless.
  21. When I talked favoritism, Perunovich was on top of the list but not number 1. Wolfe was allowed to get away with murder for 4 years. UMD, for some unknown reason has played some of the chippiest hockey yet they always get the pivotal power play to have that one chance...
  22. According to official time keeper there was .2 (noting that the screen clock doesn’t communicate tenths) seconds on the game clock at the time of the goal. It was reviewed, but it didn’t take long once the timekeeper ‘chimed in’ no pun intended.. clock 00:00.2 on screen is 00:00
  23. It wasn’t worse than the Pionk hit, but I agree with the 5, the game and the additional and I’ll tell you why. The team obviously was rubbing it in at this point and Grant made no attempt to avoid and appeared, maybe just to me, to stiffen that shoulder and arm to maximize the impact of the hit. Chroma was in a poor position to take the hit and I think folks are stretching to say he embellished it. Pionk, on the other hand, should have been suspended for several games. That hit was an embarrassment to NCHC officiating and showed unreasonable favoritism. I hammered UMD fans well into the following season over that situation.
  24. Watching the game Tuesday night it looked like a 40 minute power play. Shot attempts 167, shots on goal 36. Ok, exaggerating, but it felt like that.
  25. Omaha was stiff after the 28 day layoff, the altitude and the battle Monday night. It was all CC and they couldn’t bury one...
