  1. That’s why we have THE best league in the country. Easy wins are for kids (sorry Trix!)
  2. Watching the series last weekend, I can tell you that CC was a tape to tape or a shot ON goal from several chances. Missed the net all series and it makes you wonder why. Struggled to connect on 20 plus plays on the power play. Confidence seems low but several of the top 6 should have buried pucks. I call a rebound and a tough game 1 with the result dictating game 2...
  3. Those are some pretty strong words, good, measured response. Return to you corners, standing eight count...
  4. If this kind of contact isn’t managed by the coaches across the NCHC, we’ll end up with more, stricter, reviewable penalties. I love hockey, I think we need to keep it hockey. They wrestled over overtime for years to shorten the game time to make up for reviews. At least now they drop the effin puck for face offs...
  5. But, take into account Chrona’s position and the centrifugal affect of goal pads. I think he was in a bad, and yes vulnerable, position. I think Grant was being aggressive, but don’t believe intent to injure was there. It was reckless.
  6. When I talked favoritism, Perunovich was on top of the list but not number 1. Wolfe was allowed to get away with murder for 4 years. UMD, for some unknown reason has played some of the chippiest hockey yet they always get the pivotal power play to have that one chance...
  7. According to official time keeper there was .2 (noting that the screen clock doesn’t communicate tenths) seconds on the game clock at the time of the goal. It was reviewed, but it didn’t take long once the timekeeper ‘chimed in’ no pun intended.. clock 00:00.2 on screen is 00:00
  8. It wasn’t worse than the Pionk hit, but I agree with the 5, the game and the additional and I’ll tell you why. The team obviously was rubbing it in at this point and Grant made no attempt to avoid and appeared, maybe just to me, to stiffen that shoulder and arm to maximize the impact of the hit. Chroma was in a poor position to take the hit and I think folks are stretching to say he embellished it. Pionk, on the other hand, should have been suspended for several games. That hit was an embarrassment to NCHC officiating and showed unreasonable favoritism. I hammered UMD fans well into the following season over that situation.
  9. Watching the game Tuesday night it looked like a 40 minute power play. Shot attempts 167, shots on goal 36. Ok, exaggerating, but it felt like that.
  10. Omaha was stiff after the 28 day layoff, the altitude and the battle Monday night. It was all CC and they couldn’t bury one...
  11. This announcer... my ears are bleeding... top shelf where grandma keeps the peanut butter?
  12. But, the Mavericks are without Johnny T, Randl and Scanlin. I’d say their worse off...
  13. Why, you gonna pull the Hawks out of the ditch? Funny thing about that commercial, they still have the sheen like they’ve never been worn. And that garage, talk about a clean garage!
  14. Just like Denver to wake up in the second half. Playing with tempo and lust..
  15. UNO is a contender, and will be for some time. They’ve turned the corner and begun to play good hockey without any ‘stars’. Gabinet is doing it right in my book. Building a team, a culture. If not for this effed up year, my bet is they’d make the a’s...
  16. I hate to be an ass on this, but for me I think a commitment should be 2 years minimum (don’t get me started on verbals!). So much work goes into finding these kids an offering them financial rewards for joining the team, it sucks that they can just walk. Two years, enter the portal and go.
  17. I figured Omaha. Tychonik and Ward were team mates at he Penticton Vees...
  18. Denver’s position? We could be at .500 and this place would be a dumpster fire! Fire Barry, fire the Zamboanga driver, fire all the seniors, fire the guy that plows the parking lots!!!
  19. Oh I get it, I was just musing about what will happen. Seems to me that across the NCAA, top end talent will be moving about for a variety of reasons (none scholastic) and if movement ‘out’ slows down, the incomes will do the same thing. If a team is heavy on good defense and nobody is leaving, incomers might look elsewhere..
