I didn't watch, but heard Phil Jackson also won for coach of the year. Also, UND had arguably the 2 best players (Toews and Parise) in the game of the year, the USA v Canada Gold Medal game.

Imagine if the other sports at the UMN-Twin Cities Campus were on that list! YIKES!

The Sioux D did a pretty good job getting on Texas Tech's QB for a good part of the game last year. Idaho will be a much less intimidating place to play, with around 15-16K max at the game. I think the Sioux will be able to play with them...

I signed it, sent it to everyone in my email address book, and posted on facebook. I suggest we all do the same! We need to get it to some national sources and messageboards or on Facebook groups with tens of thousands of members. Anyone have any ideas? Once it goes national, it will balloon bigtime, as so many are against the change who have no connection to UND whatsoever.

This may bring more publicity to the Bison program than the sandbagging they helped with during the flood. I wonder if the players on the non-ethical side helped sandbag, or was it only the ethical ones?

Everytime I'm on the road for work I wear Sioux gear at the hotel in my downtime, and in the airports. I always have people come up to me and talk about the state or the university. I was in AZ once and a guy noticed my Sioux shirt. He said he has never been to ND, but saw the hockey team in the Frozen Four, and has been following the school since that time. The Minneapolis airport is always a hotspot, I have had several pilots notice my gear and say "Go Sioux", or ask me who won the game the other night. Pretty cool stuff.

I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Watching the game (sightlines) has been great at the Al. I agree, the outside was very plain and concrete and tin looking, but with the recent upgrades, it looks pretty sharp. Not sure the quonset or tincan argument works anymore. I think we are lucky to have a facility like the Alerus, as the Bison are lucky to have the Fargodome.

I'm excited about our schedule this year. I feel we might have the guns to compete and win these games. Sounds like the secondary will be very strong with returners and the 2 freshmen coming in.

I have heard the Art Department and some History Department members have spoken out. According to the biographies on the State Board of Higher Education webpage, board member John Jackson is a UND faculty member in the Anatomy Department.
