Also, you forget that the opening round games are never seen in their entirety around the nation, and are often during the day on a weekday. There is "hop-around" coverage, so only a few minutes of the Kansas/NDSU game would be seen by most people outside the North Dakota and Kansas areas.

He is a good one, I think he stood out a few weeks ago in GF.

I'm probably lumping posters on this board in with the handful of fairweather idiots in my section who have no hockey knowledge at all, and for that, I'm sorry.

Understandable, but it just pisses me off to no end when it happens, and I've seen it too much in person at the Ralph, and on this board this year. Apparently it is my "hot button".

I guess that is my point, what exactly were people being critical of? Other than the W and L record, there wasn't a whole lot on the ice that was bad, in my opinion. I feel some of you are like the fans in my season ticket area at the Ralph. When things are going well, you are cheering and giving high fives. When the other team scores a goal or two, you start getting on these 18-23 year old guys who are busting their ass on the ice as if you know better than them. Believe me, they know the game of hockey better than us rubes. It is just frustrating sometimes. Other than finishing tonight, what was different than other games that UND lost?

I can see why knowledgable guys like PCM don't post on here anymore. I have to say...I am starting to see why he left.

I am just sick of people being so critical, and not recognizing what is actually happening on the ice. Sure they have lost many games this year, but again, the effort was no different tonight than it has been for most of the season. I just wish people could see what is happening on the ice doesn't always translate to the scoreboard. There are a few guys on this board who know what I'm talking about.

The effort is exactly the same as it has been for most of the year. Finally, the shots went in. This is why me and a very very very small minority of posters on this board weren't jumping ship like most of you. It is one game, but I believe this will continue.

Yes, but it is still potentially taking away from UND jersey sales...which could be considered a negative for the University.

Very interesting. What is your take on those who sell custom UND jerseys on this board? Are they taking money away from UND, the NCAA, etc, or is it okay because they are not in a foreign country? For the record, I have no problem with those selling jerseys on this board...hope I'm not opening a can of worms here.

I was not aware of the fact that buying jerseys online can fund terrorists... I guess I see it as buying store brand items instead of name brand. Why spend $250 on an NFL jersey when I can get one that looks the same for $25? Why pay Reebok and the NFL players Union, or whoever, the markup? It's not like I'm going to be playing in the thing and worrying about my pads fitting right, tearing, etc. Interesting points, I will have to google some articles on the "counterfeit jerseys" and ill effects, including the illegalities. So, when I go to the Caribbean islands or Mexico and buy knockoff Ray Bans or a Coach purse for the wife, is that also frowned upon by people on this board? (I always tell people they are knockoffs and never try to pretend they are real)

I can offer a counterexample. I have a friend of a friend of a friend who purchased a green St Patty's Blackhawk Toews jersey online for around $45 and it is perfect. Double stitched numbers and letters, shamrock on front, even has a fight strap. It is probably the luck of the draw on these online sites...but this jersey is awesome!
