  1. Seems a good time to make other improvements that can't be accomplished during football season. Maybe refresh the seats or new paint job? The concrete wall between the catwalk and seating is ripe for some creative design
  2. Mi Rancho is the name in Bemidji. Solid food, leans more American Mexican but still can find a few authentic Mexican dishes. Good prices and nice portion Great daily drink specials
  3. CFL just officially canceled the 2020 season. Disappointed to not see if Brady can rebound from his injury and Mason Bennett's debut. First time since 1919, there will be no Grey Cup
  4. Call Nick Saban, I'm sure they would be happy to play NDSU
  5. Thanks, that one slipped by me!
  6. Big 10 officially canceling the season and would not be surprised if PAC-10 follows later today. Question: Will ESPN/ABC/Fox Sports will air more G5 games to fill space? Any FCS conferences still playing that could also fill space? Mountain West could certainly fill the late broadcast times American Conference for noon game times CUSA/Sun-Belt for mid afternoon to early evening games MACtion for week night games
  7. Remember when donations were going to significantly drop after retiring the Sioux name?
  8. Vaccine, better testing, more herd immunity, better data
  9. Many D2 & D3 teams barely pull 500 in attendance, especially late season games in northern climates. Not hosting games actually might save these athletic department money
  10. UConn just scraped the entire 2020 Football season. As an independent, it's going to be hard keeping scheduled games.
  11. As long we win against teams were are suppose to beat (I know cliche) and then take 1-3 from the Dakota schools, consider it a decent year. Little unfortunate the Valpo game would be a good early measure of the team instead of Kansas State.
  12. I have not been following the new season very closely. When is it anticipated to end? My personal opinion, they should have just scrape the season all together and just came back in October. It just seems silly to have such a long break, only have 24 teams participate and then a month between the end of the playoffs and the start of 2020/2021.
  13. USA Today released the 2018-2019 D1 fiance report earlier this week. https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances UND ranked #110 nationwide in total revenue, but nearly 47% come from allocated funds.
  14. If they are planning a traditional type mall, it's already D.O.A. If the plan is more indoor entertainment venue, could be fun
  15. starting to look like an actual high quality football facility
  16. Never knew, now that I do...can never unsee it
  17. Likely a lot less if students don't return to campus. Will these also be $1000/month for a one bedroom?
  18. The EDC is Grand Forks Economic Development arm. The article was a study that shows a drastic drop in retail activity, but did grow 660 manufacturing jobs in six years, median incomes by $5,000, and they city has a high "location quotient" in some manufacturing sectors
  19. Ironic Ogie as the EDC just released this cheer piece https://www.grandforksherald.com/news/government-and-politics/6564850-Grand-Forks-economy-From-retail-to-manufacturing
  20. This is a proposed realignment for FBS according to a Sports Illustrated opinion writer. Anyone notice something a little "off" https://www.si.com/college/2020/06/29/ncaa-college-football-conference-realignment
  21. Tennessee Governor has extended state of emergency until August 29th and face masks are now required when in public in Nashville. Phase 3 has also been delayed due to a sharp rise in hospitalizations
  22. American Athletic Conference are not allowing visiting team bands or sprit squads. Home bands can no longer do halftime performances and cheerleaders not allowed on the field.
  23. Ticketmast got into huge trouble for not allowing refunds for canceled events during COVID. They will give the money back
  24. Ya, the amount of clueless was stunning.
  25. Athletics at all but a few major colleges have been running deficits for years. They have been relying on student fees, boosters & state funding for years to be some what sustainable. Now that all three are suffering it will be tough for a lot of colleges as we have already seen. I think the bigger athletic programs and universities will be able to sustain the down turn without much interruption. Smaller schools, not so much
