  1. Highest Paid Employees By State http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story?_slug_=dabo-swinney-ed-orgeron-highest-paid-state-employees&id=28261213&redirected=true Grand Forks School Director is the highest public employee in the state. I guess North Dakota should be glad it is not a college coach, but still surprising.
  2. Hunter Pinke was in a skiing accident in Colorado. Unsure of the seriousness. Spread good vibes for his recovery.
  3. Just returned from a visit to Nashville over Christmas, surprised the parents with tickets. Couple of tidbits 1) The Gulch district of downtown is really booming. I hardly recognized it from living there many years ago. Anyone with a hotel in that area will find plenty of things to eat/drink. 2) Nashville airport is undergoing a major renovation which includes concourse expansion and six additional gates. I think these are all going to Southwest Airlines, This should all be completed in Summer of 2020, so should open more flight options in the fall. 3) Delta is expanding the Sky Lounge to over 10,000 sqft with completion in late 2020. Hopefully before for October for those Delta flyers.
  4. Now he is reporting they aren't being sold and no meeting Jan 3rd.
  5. Merry Christmas employees, now wait two weeks to hear what's happening.
  6. I've started an alumni club in Bemidji. So far it's just me and the wife. Always looking for more
  7. Non music related ideas: Andrew Jackson's Plantation if a history buff Jack Daniel's and George Dickel Distillery's is about 2 hours away Corvette Museum in Bowling Green is about a hour away in Bowling Green Full Scale replica of the Parthenon at Centennial Park Opryland Hotel is worth a first time visit, due to size and large indoor garden Stone River National Battlefield or Carton Plantation for Civil War history Lane Motor Museum has a fun car collection Music Related: Country Music Hall of Fame RCA Studios Johnny Cash Museum Throw a rock and hit any bar for live music (Tootsies is the famous one) End up on BroadwayUncensored2 Instagram for those having a really great time
  8. Still 10 months away and every major has some type of crime, but just a heads up. As mentioned in a previous post, I grew up in Nashville and still feel relatively safe when making the occasional trip to Broadway/2nd Ave. However, I can honestly say "it ain't like it use to be." https://www.wkrn.com/news/organized-crime-rings-target-music-city/ If any wants to experience the local version of Nashville, I'll be happy to offer suggestions.
  9. Is it a different hockey game from the peasant seats?
  10. Shout out to the athletics marketing department, great graphics
  11. "Considering Wyoming or Duluth" wow that's a big difference in talent level
  12. Largest NHL arena is Belle Centre at Montreal, but I have a hard time believing UND will sell out a 21,000 seat venue in another country. Largest stateside arena is Chicago's United Center, which is not exactly a destination location due to a popular Frozen Four location. Maybe Moda Center in Portland with 18,280 or Tampa Bay/Miami
  13. In D2 news, MSU-Mankato is undefeated and in the National Championship game. Todd Hoffner has an over .800 win percentage at Mankato, he has to be sniffing at some FCS offers at this point ( Maybe holding out for Bubba's retirement )
  14. What a fantastic get to fill a huge hole, even if he is strickly a kickoff specialist Wonder if Mussman was part of the recruiting pitch? Looking at their 2019 roster, there is a 6'5 305lb Freshan O.L available. I know size doesn't equal athleticism, but that is a lot of beef
  15. UND played in Burnaby a few years go, but it was exhibition against U.B.C
  16. Great area, its on the corner so good site lines of the entire ice.
  17. Maybe Mayo? Already have the records agreement and Mayo could use another satellite location as Rochester is being more difficult to get into as a patient. Plus the UND Med School affiliation would be a nice perk.
  18. And still paying $12.00 in fees to Ticketmaster. Such a terrible company.
  19. Four tickets scored that will double as a Christmas gift. Room reserved at my parents house. Good times
  20. The amount of money Alabama football brings in they could sponsor a 20 memeber women nordic team that only competes twice a year.
  21. Those waiting to purchase flights. Southwest flights are not bookable until February 13th. I also wouldn't be surprised if Delta adds more capacity from MSP to BNA in a few weeks.
  22. I've been to many Predators games, really to a bad seat in the house except upper corners are a little far from the ice.
  23. It was checking past attendance at SCSU football games and they appear to hover around 2,500 (without doing actual math). Compare that to nearby St. Johns which averaged 5,000 fans last year, not including the game at Allianz Field. Just over 190,000 people are in the St. Cloud Metro area plus thousands of alums in the Twin Cities, so pretty obvious Husky football was not a major attraction.
