The Street and Smith's poll is off more than Lindy's, but neither are great. East Stroudsburg shouldn't be in the top 15 and North Carolina Central shouldn't be in the top 10 either. With all the player UND lost to graduation after last season I think preseason #7 is a little high. I do think UND can and will be very good this year, but preseason ranking should be based upon how the team was last season and what known talent will be back.

I had heard a rumor that he was trying to work on his skills and try to get into NFL europe and make a team or get a tryout next year. Can anyone verify?
-
He is considered to small, only a couple of teams use lineman like him so he wasn't drafted very high. I think he will still have a good NFL career.
-
It's funny, he rips Kuper for being lazy and praises Jarhi Evans of Bloomsburg but essentially gives them the same ratings.

It's been around even longer than 2 years. Some kids that I teach showed me over 3 years ago, along with homestarrunner.com

Going into the game I wanted the Badgers to win, but after watching some of the dives they took trying to draw penalties. I started hoping BC would find a way to win.
-
I would guess any sports bar, but it you should probably just call around.

I wish Ryan nothing but the best for his future and career in hockey. I don't have an opinion about who should win the hobey, but I do feel your arguement has a major flaw. While stats are good and can give you a general idea about a players abilities, a lot of what makes a hockey player great (this works for all sports) doesn't show up on a stat sheet.

Please don't stereotype Leprechaun's, they should be judged as individuals. I do like GK government arguement considering he used claim that if one person is offended the name and logo should be forced to change. But for the Irish people, your opinion doesn't count unless the Irish governement gets involved.

You have to understand this poster "Jamestown" is a tool Bison fan and is horribly jealous about UND and the hockey program. He is just posting this trying to stir the pot and piss off hockey fans. The reason hockey doesn't get the numbers of say a basketball state tournament (at leat B state tourney, A doesn't draw that well) is that it is a much more difficult sport to play. The facilties required are not in every small town in ND, but they all have gyms to play BB in. People that haven't been exposed to the sport certainly aren't going to be fans of it. I have trouble watching BB it is a horribly borring most of the time. I will take a bad hockey game over a good BB game any day.

Kuper did 24 reps of 225, ran a 5.1 in the forty, and had a broad jump of 9'1" Eslinger did 28 reps and ran a 5.13 in the forty

Now that's funny!

You're probably right, but Henson has pretty well sucked since returning to the football field.

John Bowenkamp in on the Roster for the Rhine Fire along with another D2 QB Chad Friehauf and Timmy Chang. I hope it works out for him! Rob Hunt(NDSU) and Chris Samp (the good WR from WSU) and on the team as well. http://www.nfleurope.com/teams/rosters/RHE

I really don't think it matters that much, what is important is doing well in the pre-season and training camp.

When my cousin was playing Pee Wee hockey in Bottineau they played most of there season up in Canada, which is in better hockey in general to what you see in ND. That changed dramatically sometime in the late eighties/early ninties and the the program is weaker because of it. I played Midget hockey in Canada and ND and the low level Canadian midget teams are far better then what you see in ND. So playing the higher levels in Canada at an early age used to help Botno a lot, but they stopped doing it for some reason.
-
Yes, that was also back when they had the young kids in Bottineau playing a lot of hockey up in Canada. They stopped doing that and went backward in quality of hockey. I think Theele is the reason ashiem (sp) transfered to BHS, but I am not certain.
-
I think the school and coaching staff set up the days based upon having players getting looked at by the NFL and what will give the players the best oppotunity to get a good look from scouts.

I have to break it to you but your opinion is off a little, yes 1AA is a small step up from D2 but it is a minor step and UND would be competative almost instantly if they moved up. 1aa only applies to football so the other sports must compete at the D1 level and there will be some issues with different sports in UND moves up. Claiming the level of play has essentially dropped to the D3 level a joke. You say you have watched a few UND playoff football games and made your opinion. Have you physically been to a game? or watched the 1AA and D3 playoff games to compare? You have to be able to campare the levels side by side to get a real idea of what similar and different about the levels. It seems to me you're caught up in the past and wanting that to have been better football, but it really isn't valid. It's funny you think Rocky Hager was just a scape goat, because he was the only reason I made a choice to play football at UND over NDSU. I would like to see UND move up if everything falls into place (money, commitment, conference, etc). If these things are not in place the move up could be a huge mistake. D2 seems to be attempting or discussing splitting the D2 level for football, it's late in the game for this but it's certainly better than the situation D2 is in right now.

I was thinking of the 3 others that signed with different NCC schools.
-
The only reason it's bigger is because it's the Super Bowl.
-
It's horrible, he should have went and kicked the officials ass and then went to shake Cowhers hand. It's got to be tough to work that hard and have some terrible officiating dictate the game.
-
I will not forget it because it was BS, and I am certain I am not the only one. I was stating it is a tainted win from my perspective, I wouldn't feel good about it if I was on team that won a big game in large part due to completely one sided, and horrible officiating.
-
Even though Seattle didn't play great, they still outplayed the Steelers. If it were not for the many horrible calls the Seahawks likely win the game. If I was a Steeler fan, I would be a little upset about the game because the officiating taints the win severely.
-
You are clueless, Hasselbeck didn't even hit the blocker but did tackle the ball carrier. The DB started the contact, it was light and shouldn't have been called either way and the TD should have stood. The BS holding call on the play to the 1 yard line wasn't even close to being a penalty. The official on the field blew the Rothlisberger TD call, which replay couldn't overturn.
