  1. My point: Has there even ever been an "official" petition by UND alum to keep the name? If not there should be. Something to show (compare) when stuff like this comes out. As PCM put it: context of the situation.
  2. How many signatures are on a petition to keep the name?

Better nope for no power outages.
  4. Here's a crazy idea (Buning). You sit down and negotiate a contract on realistic goals with incentives for winning.
  5. I find it funny that you find it funny that some people don't know as much as others.
  6. Looks like Tom Billeter of Augustana has something to add too: UND job to draw plenty of interest
  7. Christmas came early...celebration time.
  8. Pine Bluff Arsenal in Competition to be a New Federal Center We (or a lot of us) hope it happens but the odds say it won't.
  9. IF a BTHC was formed and UND was offered an invitation, it would be in their best interest to accept. Best watch out, their will be talk of the Big Ten for all sports.
  10. I hope you realize I agree with you and was trying to be extremely sarcastic. If it makes you feel any better I am one of those "youths." We'll call us the "new north dakotans" with the take no prisoners attitude
  11. Suite 49 is going to sell beer at Springfest. You can take it anywhere in the park. No permit needed for individuals. Have to have wristband. By the wording those should be in "bullet" form. Now the real question: is it legal to drink your own beer in the park?
  12. You can only blame location for so much. Before Winona won it, "there was no way an uppermidwest team could win" but they did now we/you have to rationalize why they won. What happens if/when UND won it? Out the window (except probably won't happen now cause UND will be moving D1). I guess I'll face the fact: "anywhere but UND can win because of location." Got it! (*except for the other 3 Major sports on campus cause they have all won championships in the past few years: Hockey, Football, W Basketball: Got It).
  13. UND seeks germ lab: Research center would be an economic boon
  14. You think they'd be saying that if UND Hockey finished where Mens basketball did in their repective conference standings/national tournaments. I think not. Swygman and Hennessy would probably be right there along with the rest of us wanting a new head coach. It seems that coaches of "lesser" known sports get more breaks. And its complete BS. Oh and look over there....its peoples arguments of upper midwest basketball, location, competing on a national level championships etc, just went out the window with Winona winning the championship.
  15. Thus lets not forget the Big Sky doesn't sponsor Baseball. Talk about a perfect time to drop a sport (you'd have a good reason to tell people too )
  16. Umm lets see: its called the "board of directors" and they hire and fire the CEO.
  17. Miles is offered the job and doesn't make a statement one way or the other and that translates into he turned it down?
  18. The UND Bisonville Board is gone. Is it okay that I posted that fact?
  19. You think UND would move without having some sort of study done? Of course not. Enter "task force." Enter move to Division I. It doesn't matter what those "task forces" say. Look at NDSU it said do not move without a conference lined up. They didn't listen and moved regardless.
  20. That is exactly what the start of the thread was about. A guy in NJ takes Mcfarlane figures and customizes them (aka the sioux) for starting at $65 for a single figure.
  21. At the risk of not repeating myself , The country is moving away from a manufacturing economy. In 1960 Anglo America, 28% of the labor forced engaged in manufacturing generating nearly one-third of the region's wealth. By 2001, manufacturing employment had dropped to about 16% of a much larger labor force and manufacturing contributed less than a fifth of the GDP. Manufacturing employment is falling (you can ask Ford about it). Those service based economies (like in GF) are here to stay.
