So far this season we would be 4th in the Big Sky in attendance average even with our "Woes." This even includes Cal Poly and UC Davis. UND would be behind Montana, Montana State, Northern Az (8,765) , and Eastern Washington (8,774). UND (8,154) could easily be third in a few years once the Montana schools start traveling to Grand Forks. I'm not seeing the "woe." UND will average 8,000-11,000 every year while playing in the Alerus Center.

Before the Alerus: 1998: 7,692 1999: 7,813 2000: 8,658
-
Probably just seeing a return to what Sioux football historically averages now that the newness of the Alerus has worn off and we haven't been winning as many games like earlier this decade. We still will be like what? 4-5th in Attendance average in the new Big Sky already? Well maybe not this year. But with quality teams coming in and rivalries being built. We will have nice size crowds at the Alerus.

Has a committee been formed? Its extremely unfortunate it will never be put to a popular vote or should I say its unfortunate that not enough people will protest for a vote.

Keys to winning: Go for a fake punt. Run a reverse. Pitch the ball during a kick return. Run a couple option plays. Have the ball thrown to your QB like the Vikes and get a penalty cause its Illegal!!
-
Really? $15 is absurd to you? I thought Sioux Football was a steal!!
-
Cause the coaches knew what we all knew. That one extra point wouldn't matter in the end. I give the coaches credit for putting in a different QB. It was steadily apparent Goska wasn't an accurate thrower from the Lamar game. And here I thought "ooooh something different" finally a chance to try and WIN the game with a fake punt. Turns out the coaches didn't even call it. Someone miss heard or should I say misread the cleveland indians sign the coach was holding. hahahaha
-
What's with those "weird" signs the coaches hold? Is that something to do with the "no huddle" offense? Also can anyone explain what's up with the odd formations right before they they run into a "normal" formation and kick the extra point? Another coaching gimmick?
-
Hey coach, your season was over and you ain't playin for nothing... So listen to the fans and go for it on fourth and inches. Your losing the game. Quit being a conservative pantsy and throw the ball downfield or for god sakes at least run another play before halftime. The Odd Makers gave UND a 80% chance to win this game!!! The next two games: 20% chance.

We all know those numbers aren't apples to apples comparison. Take UND Hockey out of those numbers and UND is probably between USD and SDSU. Athletic Budget isn't operating profit. UND could still be losing money every year while its possible USD has a small budget yet is turning a profit.

The timing works out good because now they won't have to take "Sioux" off the old turf.
-
I haven't seen this much partying and dancing in the streets since UND won a football championship in 2001!!!
-
I was one of the few at the game today. Students section was pathetic. I felt like I was at Memorial Stadium towards its end. I might not have noticed it before but why do the Sioux line up like they are going for two and then kick the extra point?
-
Well that was fun while it lasted.
-
Sioux got the lead late in the game. Wait for it....conservative play calling now? Run Run pass on third and long?
-
It is no UMASS (18-18 last year) but this year we stepped up and got a quality team in Robert Morris (10-19 last year).

The "east" grand forks part of the Grand Forks MSA. Yes you are correct EGF is indeed a politically seperate city. Why is it relevant. Why is it relevant that a lot of people play hockey in the region. It makes it easier to recruit. College players generally prefer to stay close to home. Why does it matter that UND is located in a part of the country that produces some of the best hockey players? No one expects Alabama Huntsville to be good at hockey. Do you understand why that is?
-
Really? Did I miss something? Did the Sioux win a championship? Last year in Idalski's third season the Sioux women were picked to finish third to last in the preseason WCHA poll. But actually finished in last place with a 4-16-2 record! That's pretty bad when part of the city is located in the state of hockey and you get to recruit players with the finest hockey arena in North America. The year before that: third to last in the conference. And before that: Second to last in the conference.

Isn't it 218-779-5740? Or at least it was last year.

The first ever win against the Gophers and The first sweep of a ranked team in program history for the Sioux Women!

UNI vs USD is on MidCo Sports Channel. 16 to 7 UNI. four minutes left.

Really? You think so? UND's inability to pay its head coach a decent amount is the main reason it lost its greatest head coach of all time. Lennon interviewed at Montana State was offered the job and turned it down. Then proceeded to accept a job at Southern Illinois with a massive pay increase.
-
Which makes UND's coach one of the lowest paid in the FCS with the averages being around $200,000.
-
Gosh where do you start? Its pretty bad when Landrys #1 read on screen plays is wide open for about three seconds before he throws it to him. SUU just threw it up against our short cornerback (not sure what his name is cause they don't put it on the back of the jerseys) who was overmatched and only had single coverage. UND always seems to have a masterful plan for the first drive. Scores and then nothing. USD and now SUU. Good luck hiring a quality head coach when the program 70 miles away pays their coach $181,000 to our $105,000!

The Sioux made their 2010-11 poll debut at No. 8 in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine weekly poll, the highest ranking in progam history in any poll.
