  1. What many national sports coumnists are calling "one of the greatest upsets of all time," is not shocking at all to a Fargo media man. Go Figure. .... More reason not to trust the Fargo Forum.
  2. This could only help "The Big Ten Network." Those execs had to be smiling. Next is Big Ten Hockey games....and then who knows.
  3. Harvard is private and so is the majority of the "Ivy League." Harvard has high tuition so funding their athletic programs is "very expensive" like San Diego as you describe. So to answer the first question of the odds of San Diego going the scholie route? It is definately possible. They just dont' call it "scholies" but

  5. That is one of the inherant problems with a green out. Many fans have... I know my closet probably has about 5 different shades of shirt/sweatshirts etc of Sioux Gear.
  6. If people don't have a shirt and want one. They can order one here: Green Out Shirt. It would also be cool because you know more than likely they are SiouxSports.com regulars. Hopefully this fan driven tradition will continue to build support year after year until it is an offically sanctioned university event. *not kelly green but definately an attention grabbing green.
  7. Its definately not one persons fault. But our fault as a society and politicians and how we vote and how we live our lives. I think people "blaming" and "finger pointing" is a genuine interest in seeing what went wrong and how we can correct it so it does not happen again. A good thing in my opinion. Whether it be stricter "bridge replacement policies," more money for infrastructure, etc. How many bridges are now closed because of this? And lifes possibly saved? A bridge just closed in Missouri within the past couple of days. This ain't the first bridge collapse in this country and it certainly won't be the last. This could essentially be the beginning if nothing is done as this country is getting "older."

    TV Games

Are there any UND (football) games on ABC/NBC like there use to be?
  9. Here's my strange/interesting story: Around 6 o'clock that day I was stopped at a light on the overpass bridge that is directly above 35W (on University Ave SE) about a block North of the collapse. (You can see the bridge that collapsed if I looked out the right hand side) I felt a slight vibration and some faint sounds (my radio was on). I turned the radio off and rolled down my window to see/listen what the noise/vibration was. I thought to myself "I hope this bridge doesn't collapse." But brushed it off because I thought "Bridges don't just collapse." Told myself it must have just been a strong gust of wind. Light turned green and I drove away. I am convinced if I turned onto 35W there (instead of going straight) I would have been on the bridge at that time or darn close.
  10. They suggest you turn off all "Security Software" if you have any on and... Neither did NOT help me. Still nothing.
  11. I can't see the sample video with my perfectly run high speed internet computer. How long before this problems solved? Years or never like dataflix?
  12. Is that because people are passionate about their country and its issues? I believe the world would be a better place is we all did more talking/discussing than "No Political Talk." People might just see what the "other side" is thinking. I am not saying there should be a political forums here. But politics run the world.
  13. I trashed it back then and I will trash it now. It's really not even a conference. It has what only 3 teams besides the two new members of UND/USD. It is a Temporary Schedule Allieance. That is all it is. No autobid. Nothing. The upside. The other 3 teams are pretty darn good (at least 2).
  14. It's not like people didn't know about the bridges "potential." It scored a 50/100 and was claimed Structurally Deficient.
  15. Many different shades of Green. Hence the famous White (and whites "impact" is also why its more popular in the sports scene).
  16. Let there money run out, that's fine with us. I want UND to do it right and that means not spending money you might need down the road to better your/its programs!!!
  17. Maybe he thinks he can do better and wants to try the NHL.... to only later realize how good you had it at UND. (Dean)
  18. If you were truly serious, the most realistic, cheap, and feasible way to get this to eventually become a tradition (long term) is simply to have the ralph/UND/ticketmaster print on the ticket (White Out Night: Wear a White Shirt). Obviously this wouldn't be possible for next year, but the following years it would be. Then year after year as it builds momentum a standard shirt could be used that the majority of people attending Sioux hockey games would know about or sold and bought (more money for REA in the Sioux Shop). It would be a simple design that you could wear year after year (Go Sioux: Green/White Out Night, etc...logistics could be worked out). I know all incoming freshman receive a free t shirt. It could be the official white/green out night shirt!!! (no added costs for the university!!!)
  19. Yeah it chaps my behind, when there is a free enterprise economy and that businesses have to compete with other businesses. You realize those "chain" stores started out as locally owned businesses, but were so good at what they did everyone wanted to eat (in this case) there that they could grow there business and do very well and move to other towns. Like I said, I hate having options (to eat) thus forcing the restaurants that people use to eat at, when other "better" options weren't around to close. Choice = Bad for society.
  20. They are probably just thinking of the future and how UND will need new uniforms anyways once the name is eventually changed.
  21. Ban cars and while we're at it dihydrogen monoxide.
  22. .......and then that person would get fired or forced out. To most people that is not worth it.
